Most Vietnamese restaurants feature Pho soup but here they have Bun Bo Hue which is a very spicy soup. I had to try it and I was very happy with the heat and flavour of the Bun Bo Hue soup. Service was also great.

Absolutely wonderful service and delicious food! I had the chicken pho, best I’ve had in Whitehorse. Very fresh ingredients and great menu selection.

The food quality has gotten bad over the years. I have given this restaurant another shot but it has not gotten better. The food quantity has been reduced, it has gotten expensive and the taste has gotten dull.

Portions are small, specifically the vermicelli bowl and takeout pho. There was a sign warning of no bean sprouts, but pho was also served without lime or basil. Very underwhelming and unsatisfying.

I have been eating here from time to time since 2009 and I need to advise you that the food quantity and quality has been reduced. The chicken pho soup I had last time is very plain with very little meat. No spices, lime or any real flavour. More flavourless noodles than anything in the bowl. Way Over priced. The spring rolls were only ok and not note worthy. Please do better we need an accountable resturant in Whitehorse with quality and quantity….the waitress did a great job but I have to mention the over price for what I got!I will most likely not return but soup options in Whitehorse are limited unfortunately…. If I want soup where else can I go ?

The only Vietnamese pho restaurant in town. The owner is Vietnamese so he can interact in Vietnamese. The food is okay, not delicious, but in a remote place like this, finding a restaurant like this is extremely valuable. Good

compared to Vancouver pho or shrimp salad rolls not bad fir a nice change from burgers pizza very tasty only problem I have is lack of hot sauce also they don't offer normal toppings like bean sprouts or hot chili or a nice lime slice flavor good service awesome .Vegetarian options: they have vegetable pho only problem comes with beef broth and not a lot of veggies .

This place is “just ok”. I am well seasoned in ordering Pho as it is one of my favorite meals. I ordered the #25 pho with steak and brisket. It came with just the noodles and a little bit of meat. No Thai basil, no lime, no bean sprouts. It was very plain and nothing to be excited about. Won’t be coming back. Service was fine and the atmosphere was ok too.

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)Reviewed by: [Micheal Wylie]My recent experience at Pho 5 Star Vietnamese Cuisine in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, regrettably falls short of the expectations set by its name, warranting a two-star rating for several notable reasons.Quality of Food: ★★☆☆☆While the menu promises authentic Vietnamese cuisine, the execution left much to be desired. The dishes I ordered lacked the depth of flavor and freshness typically associated with Vietnamese cuisine. The pho broth, in particular, was underwhelming, with a noticeable absence of the complex flavors that define this beloved dish.Portion Sizes: ★★☆☆☆The portion sizes were disappointingly small compared to what is typically expected from a Vietnamese restaurant. This left me feeling unsatisfied and craving more substance in my meal.Service and Waiting Time: ★★☆☆☆The service at Pho 5 Star was unremarkable, with waitstaff appearing indifferent to customer needs. Additionally, the waiting time for the food was longer than anticipated, which dampened the overall dining experience.Ambiance and Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆The restaurant's ambiance and cleanliness were decent but not exceptional. While it provided a basic and clean dining environment, it lacked the cozy and inviting atmosphere that can enhance the enjoyment of Vietnamese cuisine.Value for Money: ★★☆☆☆Given the quality of the food and portion sizes, I found the prices to be relatively high, which did not align with the overall dining experience. Conclusion:Pho 5 Star Vietnamese Cuisine in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, does not live up to the expectations set by its name. While the restaurant has potential, the quality of the food, portion sizes, service, and value for money are areas that require significant improvement. A two-star rating reflects the disappointments encountered during my visit, and I hope to see improvements that align with the standards of authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the future.
