“Ever since my first dining experience at Kissa Tanto and every one since, I’ve been impressed by the service and high quality of food. I highly recommend the chef’s tasting menu, or splitting dishes with others because you’ll want to try everything you can.“

“This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Vancouver. My wife and I have been here several times and always done the tasting menu. It never disappoints and they have one of the best mixologists in all of Vancouver. If you are looking for an incredible meal and experience. Look no further“

“My experience at Savio Volpe was amazing! I have always wanted to try this restaurant ever since i’ve heard of it few yrs ago but unfortunately couldnt get in coz it’s hard to make a reservation. Glad i was able to get in this time. Me, my husband, my mom and in laws came over to celebrate our bday at this restaurant and it really surpassed our expectations. Our fave were the maple farm half chicken, primrose pork belly with scallops and green apple puree, tiramisu and amaretto bday ice cream! It was def chef’s kiss! Shout out to Steve for constantly checking on us making sure we were ok and we were enjoying our meal. We would love to go back again sometime in the future.“

“Came here for dinner with some friends on a Friday evening. We got a table right away! This is my second time at this location and it did not disappoint. Still one of the best ramen places I’ve ever been to! The broth is so rich and flavorful and the portion was quite good for the price.Service was excellent as we got our food right away and our server checked up on us often. The environment was clean and well-kept. Would definitely come back here! 10/10!“

“My wife and I recently went to St Lawrence to have their tasting menu. In my own personal opinion, this restaurant serves not just well developed flavors, but moods and feeling with each dish.To start with, a light fluffy cheese filled inside a ravioli shaped cracker. Next, a light and airy oyster soaked in sauce and foam - this is the best oyster I’ve eaten, and I live in the PNW.Next, an incredibly light thinly sliced scallop on top of a sunchoke with the delicious minced texture.Another standout dish was the sablefish with lentil and a a red wine sauce- if you’ve never had anything like this, all I can say is that the sauce has a flavor so warm and rich, you feel like you’re tasting warm sunlight. The beet terrine with preserved lemon and horseradish ice cream is the type of thing you would find at a French Michelin star restaurant in that it’s a combination of flavor and art. For me, these types of dishes feel like something I’ve never tasted before and push my boundaries. The staff went way above and beyond to make us feel welcome and they were very accommodating.I won’t spill all the secrets but if you want a taste of high French while also feeling casual and relaxing, this is a great place to experience new things for your palette. Would recommend.“

“We had a lovely experience at Burdock & Co. recently. We enjoyed a full tasting menu all vegetarian that still aligned with the seasonal theme! Vegetarian fine dining is lacking in Vancouver and this restaurant delivers (you just have to inform them you are vegetarian when booking). We joined them for the budding moon menu featuring different tree-related ingredients and their team did a great job making this vegetarian! The service was on point - conversational and fun, but professional and detail-oriented. The wine pairings were great too! Food was fresh, creative with great flavor combinations and well-plated. We will definitely be back to try more of their seasonal menus.Vegetarian options: They are vegetarian-friendly with advanced notice. Vegetarians still get a full tasting menu in line with the seasonal menu!“

“Bopping place, great location in gastown, great ambiance, service was amazing - staff very well trained (i used to be in the industry). Food was excellent - very creative and a bit 'different' so it makes for a unique dining experience - the flavours were amazing, portions a good size ( i had anticipated them being small but they ended up being the perfect size at least for me!). I would definitely recommend this restaurant!“

“Came here recently to celebrate our anniversary. Cozy restaurant with limited seating. Reservation highly recommended. Our empty plates were taken right away and our tea cups were filled constantly. Fair price and good food selection. Had an enjoyable evening.“

“You have to spoil yourself and go here for dinner. We went as a group of 4, the steak tartar was amazing as was the frois Gais brulee. As for my main, I went with the special of the night which was tempura lobster on top of a seafood pasta with fish. The star of the show was definitely the duck and sweet bread. The service was attentive and amazing.“

“We recently celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with an amazing dinner at Nightingale! There were 12 of us and had a family style dinner, which every plate that came out was amazing. “Authentic Vietnamese food spot in Vancouver with a long line up. We got there early before opening and we’re one of the first to get in. Amazing pho, the shared appetizer platter allows you to try a variety of what they offer. “Homer St Cafe is always a treat, busy, noisy on a Sunday morning and fun. The service was excellent and the staff are pleasant, it was my Birthday and two of the waiters offered up a lovely rendition of Happy Birthday. Food was well prepared but cold when it arrived at the table, the portion was large and I took half of it home and reheated it, tasted much better hot! I would still recommend Homer St., it’s a bit of an institution, housed in a well preserved historic building in downtown Vancouver and well worth a visit.“
“Absolutely amazing food, cocktails and service. Gem of Davie Street!“

“Opted for the tasting menu. The sablefish and sweetbreads were big highlights, but the whole meal was delicious, and reasonably priced for its quality. Also enjoyed the Wasabi Makhana, Old Quarter, and Smoke And Spice cocktails, plus a light and fresh tequila creation from bartender Kingsley. Speaking of, Kingsley and our server, Jordan, were friendly, attentive, and had good recommendations for the rest of our last night in Vancouver. Go here for a nice date night.“

“I came here with my fiancé for omakase. It was such a great experience as we had the whole restaurant to ourselves and sat at the sushi bar for the whole omakase vibe. It felt very special and intimate, the chef and his wife made us feel so comfortable. It was nice knowing details about each dish and the conversation was so effortless all while the chef was preparing every course. I love how most ingredient was imported and how each dish was specifically prepared a certain way, it was very well thought out.The pieces he would give were fat too, the chef definitely did not hold back. Usually we go to other omakase and we come out still hungry, but this one is worth every penny as you leave satisfied! The chef and his wife were so warm and friendly, even when we were late from the traffic! You definitely can feel the care and pride of the chef and his wife. When we come back to Vancouver we will be coming back here again.“

“Wonderful, attentive, and friendly service. The portions are perfectly sized. Not too much but not too little. Pricing, while note cheap, is extremely reasonable for the quality of the food that you're getting. A wonderful gem hidden in Kits. I highly recommend this to anyone. My bet is that you'll be left wanting to come back again.“

“This is the second restaurant by Wooden Fish under the brand "Pho & Roll". Let's start with location: the restaurant is located on Cambie Str, opposite to Save'On, Canadian Tire and BestBuy. The bus stop is right in front of the restaurant and the parking on W 7th Ave is very accessible ($1/1hr -> you can't beat that parking price anywhere else in downtown). 1 block away from Broadway City Hall. So I give you guys 5 stars for location and accessibility. The restaurant itself is a reflection of memoir of Vietnamese heritage that showcases thru all the pictures on the wall. High ceiling and open kitchen make "Pho & Roll" more special and you have the feeling of watching all the cooking activities in your kitchen. The best part is the food fetish with selective options of best Viet cuisine that remind us about a time in the past associated with a time in the future. I highly recommended the Pho Ga and Com Don and fried chicken here. Wordless to say about its taste but these are the "bang on the bucks" and "must try" when visiting. Their condiments are hand made, their dried lemon slices and pine apple are also hand made. Furthermore, take a sip of Viet traditional cofffee here. Overall, a magnificient experience for this hidden germ restaurant. Definitely a GO BACK for me no brainer.Parking: Park on W 7th Ave plenty of spotKid-friendliness: They do have a small corner to playWheelchair accessibility: Easy to access“

“My wife and I chose Fable to celebrate our joint birthdays with our kids. We shared chickpea fritters, which were great. Our mains included steak, duck, stealhead trout and pork belly. All were excellent but the pork belly was the best. Our sides included asparagus, broccolini and roasted potatoes. Again, all were great but the potatoes were excellent. All our cocktails were excellent as well.“

“Intimate traditional japanese omakase with fresh fish from Japan served as nigiri (12 different types); i am familiar with the different types of seafood served but for those who are not familiar with Japanese seafood names, it would be more interesting if Chef Maumi could interact more and introduce each dish. “The food at Bao Bei was an interesting asian-adjacent culinary experience. We had the family course dinner for a business group. There were wonderful and diverse flavors though the seasoning was very clearly intended for a western culinary palate, biased toward sweet rather than spicy flavors. Portions were adequate and the cocktails were really inventive and fun. I have to admit I was expecting a more authentic high-end Chinese meal, but what we had was delightful and quite memorable.“
