“so I found out about this place by watching the michael chang/chrissy teagan show on hulu and the way they shot the segment, you would think this is an elevated, sophisticated higher end mexican restaurant. for this reason I took my GF here for her B-day thinking it would be good for a special occasion. In reality, is a nice local family mexican restaurant with good, solid cuisine... good portions, excellent mole.... nice atmosphere but definitely not fancy but this is LA and if you want 5 stars from me for mexican food, I would need a step up from this. definitely worth a visit”

“The food is INCREDIBLE and the service is even better.You’d think offering so many different menu items would come at the cost of quality but that was not the case. I’ve been here three times and continue to be impressed at the quality and freshness of everything I order, from the sandwiches to the esquite and the protein shakes- all of it is delicious!”

“Parking available, good variety of dishes. They must have been understaffed but the service took a very long time. Food took long to arrive, and a few mistakes which took from the whole experience. The mole was good, the shrimp cocktail was ok.”

“The mole poblano was excellent! However, I believe the chicken was grilled. It was dry. Mole poblano usually is accompanied with boiled chicken. The white rice and beans were good. I loved the horchata. It's was served in a glass with the rim coated with cocoa and pumpkins seeds inside the drink. It was yummy! The server was attentive. The restaurant is clean. I returned on a different day. I tried the mixiote de borrego, it was so good! And of course I had another horchata, yum! I'll be returning to try other things.”

“I was in the area and remembered this place existed. I am so glad their business is holding strong, but I mean with food like theirs it's no surprise. Food as always was fantastic but the service is just amazing. I was in a bit of a time crunch and the person taking my order had the upmost sense of urgency it made me feel important.”

“My family and I drove 40 miles . Food was superb, mouthwatering, and clean. The meat was cooked to perfection. It tasted like the food my mom in Lebanon used to make . The owner Ali , and his beautiful and BLESSED MOM, were so welcoming, that my family and I felt that the restaurant was like HOME. Appetizers were delicious, just the way we were brought up. The Hamburger meat and the special made steak were succulent , cooked , and seasoned to perfection. Kebbeh was juicy, moist , and tender , with just the right amount of seasoning. Hummus was creamy, and delicious. Fries were well cooked and very crispy. The katayef were super delicious and light. The mom’s” znoud el set” invention were surprisingly better than the traditional one. Osmanleye was mouthwatering and surprisingly light. The service was Hands down the best we have seen so far in the STATES . The atmosphere was very inviting, which felt like we were eating at home. The whole staff was proactive and the smile never left their beautiful faces. My family and I would like to thank the owner Ali , his beautiful and blessed mother, and the whole staff who waited on us hand and foot . Let’s not forget the awesome chef Ali who is the owner’s nephew who was also responsible for this amazing experience, thank you chef Ali. Also we would like to thank the butcher Tony, who runs the meat section in the store next door. He did an amazing job cutting professionally our meat which we purchased to take home. The meat is Very clean no blood on the meat, so fresh . Thank you Tony.We can’t wait to come back to this awesome place again. Thank you everyone who made our visit a great , and pleasurable experience. I recommend everyone who wants the experience of his/her childhood mom or grandma’s cooking to go and try the food at WORLD FAMOUS GRILL. “Good local spot to go get some authentic Mexican food, fast service and prices ain't too bad. Ordered pozole and chilaquiles, pozole was great but chilaquiles were like any other spot. Chilaquile sauce tasted like the canned enchilada sauce. Staff was very friendly and restaurant was clean. Overall, would visit again.”

“The prices in the photos are not updated in the photos...but what I remember and what I paid 2 days ago:Tacos $1.75Burritos, cakes, quesadillas are worth $8.50Mules $3.00Sodas $1Small waters $1.50And that's all I remember, BUT the food is delicious....there are like 3 tables to eat in the place but it doesn't matter because many order takeout. They gave us a lot of sauces, onions, cucumbers, radishes and the waiting time was short, I think, no more than 15 minutes....but because we arrived at 6...later you can see that it gets more crowded. Oh, I forgot to mention that on Mondays the sign says they are 2 for 1 on tacos al pastor BUT they told me that the current promo is tacos al pastor on Mondays for $1...which is still super cool. In general they are 10 out of 10.”

“Just as i expected a cozy atmosphere, delicious food, especially the sweet crepes. Shout out for the chefs!!! And the service excellent. I noticed a team effort, coffee kept coming, and empty plates removed from our tables almost instantly! Fair prices, nothing extreme. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the loud music. I could barely have a conversation with my friend. Too loud. And that is the only reason why I would think twice on returning. Other than that everything was excellent!!! Excellent service!!! “We came here last minute and everything looked and smelled amazing. So much sweet bread to chose from. They also have flans, jericallas, slices of tres leches cake, galetinas,etc. The cuernos and bigotes were delicious and fresh. Mantecadas were small but on point. “The music is very good, loud and amplified by the small size of the bar. This is a place to come and drink, listen to good music, check out the attractive *meseras, not a place to come and talk. This is more of a beer only place although they have a very small rack of liquor. Seems like a guy only place, all the ladies in there were meseras/ficheras. I wonder if ficheras would feel weird if couples were to show up. If you're a waitress that works there, this would be good info.”
