“My girlfriend and I recently dined at Momo Masala, and it was an experience we won't forgey. The menu offered a delightful array of options, but our hearts were set on trying their renowned momos and biryani. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! The momos were bursting with flavor, each bite a symphony of spices and textures. The biryani was a revelation, perfectly cooked rice layered with tender meat and aromatic spices. What truly elevated our dining experience was the ambiance. Surrounded by lush indoor plants and subtle Himalayan decor, we felt like we were dining in a cozy mountain retreat. It was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. But what truly set Momo Masala apart was their exceptional staff. Not only were they attentive and friendly, but their prompt service ensured that our evening flowed seamlessly. In conclusion, if you're looking for a culinary adventure that tantalizes the taste buds and soothes the soul, look no further than Momo Masala. It's more than just a restaurant; it's an experience worth savoring.“

“Took a risk on this place despite it being too new to have reviews, and I'm very glad I did. The restaurant has a cozy vibe with Karam boards and complimentary chai. Server was extremely nice, and even gave me complimentary rice with my appetizer. Food was also very good. I got the Fried Momo and the Chili Paneer. All felt like it was freshly prepared and had good quality ingredients. Definitely going back for a more complete meal.“

“My husband and I love this spot and regularly enjoy the lunch specials here. I recently ordered the pumpkin chicken curry and he ordered the chicken saag. Both were so good that we didn’t share! Lunch specials come with white or brown rice, lentil soup (yum), and very fluffy naan. Pair with a hot chai and it’s an excellent meal.“

“Went here for some drinks and to watch the Tennessee Vols football game (visiting from out of town). Staff was very friendly, and Eddy was great! Enjoyed talking to him, and he put the game on for us and was overall wonderful. I wish we hadn’t eaten lunch before going there, because the food looked great. We did have the fries which were perfect.“

“We always order momos from this place, and they never disappoint. Last time, we tried some other dishes, and the noodles weren't great. Still, the momos are the best around, The momos have amazing flavors, and the prices are fair. We usually do takeout, but we're excited to eat in sometime. Despite the noodle issue, it's still our favorite spot for satisfying our momo cravings.“

“This place will become a regular takeout treat for me - Chicken Sekuwa is moist and so flavorful, Chicken Chowmein is light and tasty (I know... chowmein! But it's really more of a lo mein than the chowmein I remember from childhood "Chinese" restaurants where I grew up), spicy Bhindi Tarkari (okra with onions and tomatoes), and delicious rotis and parathas. Really friendly staff and efficient online ordering.“

“Base Camp is a great choice for any occasion. It's where I take parents and friends when they visit town for special occasions, or just to treat myself on a casual night. The menu has a great range of small bites (the pork momos are the best i've ever had) and the curry's and chow mein main dishes are all great, but the shrimp cashew curry and paneer ra matar are my go-to's! My partner is vegan and he is able to have dairy free modifications to every dish, which is really nice. The customer service couldn't be better, and the owner's commitment to making the dishes authentic to regions all over Nepal is really special. There are a few new dishes that I noticed on the menu this week, so I tried the Aloo Cauliflower and it's a new favorite!Vegetarian options: There are quite a few great vegetarian options on the menu, including Vegetarian Momos, an Eggplant curry, Aloo Cauliflower being some of my favorites. There's a new mushroom main that's inspired by cuisine in Eastern Nepal that I really want to try next time i'm there. The staff are very friendly and welcome to accommodations for most curry dishes to be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Every dish i've asked for dairy free accommodations on has been possible (except Butter Chicken), even though they're not listed as vegan on the menu.“

“TGTO The Nepal dumplings were delicious with the saffron pilaf and garbanzo/red beans. It was flavorful with spices. Packed to go in a compostible container with foil to line it to keep the steam from disintegrating the container. Very clever. What a place on 6th street corner. I was coming from Howard since 6th street is so intense from Market to Howard. They only open M to F 11 to 3 pm. Very narrow window of opportunity.“

“My sister and I had dinner here recently and it was very enjoyable. Our server was attentive and friendly. I had lamb korma and my sister had chicken korma and both were excellent! The naan bread was some of the best I've had, the perfect balance of soft and crisp. Portion sizes were just right. I would definitely visit again!“

“The fried rice with the Gobi Manchurian tasted delicious and a fantastic pairing. Samosa chaat was delightfully tangy and the chilli momos were saucy and flavorful. The spice level customizations are carefully done - the mild offered no teary eyes and the medium had a kick to it. The Nepal ice beer was light and crisp. Portion sizes were huge and we had leftovers over 1-2 more meals. If you'd like to avoid leftovers and are moderately hungry, share a fried rice and an entree to pair it with. Service was attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back for more!“

“I went to the ferry building farmers market and stumbled upon this stand making momos. I was intrigued by the sauce on the dumplings and just knew I had to order. The lamb was spiced and really complimented the cream sauce on the momos. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes!“

“I got the daily plate with Kabocha squash, brown rice, kale and salad. The prices went up to $17.99, but the business owner Tashi threw in a free Indian chai (score!). I learned he assumed ownership rather recently so he will be revamping the menu to focus on vegetarian dishes. As for the interior, it's a bit dated and in need of renovation which Tashi is planning to do. He said the landlord is replacing the windows and he will replace the current flooring. Can't wait to see it when it's all done. I always found Tibetan food to be nourishing. It's delicious too. And I absolutely support his ultimate goal of educating people about Tibetan culture which is slowly being lost in the future generations :( with that said, I will be back.“
