“A hidden gem of a korean spot! They give you soo much food. The soup was good, but different from the style I usually like more. The banchan was also delicious with a good variety. They have seating inside and outside with really cute lights and window seating. They also sell lots of korean food and instant food inside! Service is very attentive and speedy.“

“Best ramen I've ever had, in a hot stone bowl!The sushi tends to taste a little bitter here, though. Stick to hot dishes, in my opinion.Vegetarian options: Can substitute any protein option for spiced tofu. The staff went out of their way to clarify when I asked to clarify that their soup stock was explicitly vegetarian, and they even ask about egg.Definitely a great place to go if you're veg, even if I'm not vegetarian myself.“

“We ordered take out and all of the food transported well including the crispy garlic chicken. The garlic chicken was the best - good flavor and good crunch - and the Yangnyeom chicken had a nice smoky flavor although not as spicy as we expected. Very saucy so have lots of napkins handy. Rice bowl and rice cake rounded out the dinner with decent sized portions. The spicy pork was tasty and it was good to get some veggies in. The rice cake is the only dish I probably would not order again as it was too chewy. Overall I would return here!“

“Great addition to the Berkeley community! I saw that they had bulgolgi fries so I just had to stop by and try. I ended up also getting an order of the kfc bowl with purple rice and japchae. Everything was made to order and came out super fresh. The spicy mayo was the perfect topping for both and made the food so much richer and flavorful. Our food also came out relatively quick and the presentation was beautiful (see attached photo)! We went during opening time so it wasn't busy but this place will be a hit for sure!“

“Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and was seated immediately. We ordered the AI-Bibimbap, Bibimbap V+, and BBQ Spicy Pork, and all the dishes were so yummy. AI-Bibimbap (10/10): This dish was the perfect combination of seafood and veggie flavors. I usually opt for bulgogi in my bibimbap, but this was such a great change. Bibimbap V+ (8/10): This bibimbap was a pretty typical beef bibimbap. Yummy, but not as good as the AI-Bibimbap. BBQ Spicy Pork (8/10): This dish was super yummy and sweet. My only criticism is that it was a bit oily.“

During my recent visit to one of their establishments, I was impressed by the fast service and delicious food. The rice had a delightful crunchiness to it, complementing the juicy beef perfectly. “Food is a bit over priced in my opinion. What you see on the menu isn't what you receive sometimes I recommend not to get the Japchae. The noodles are actually thicker like Chinese Glass Noodles instead of vermicelli I do suggest the Rose Tteokboki spicy enough with a hint of sweetness, savory and creaminess. The boba here is pretty good for the price and they come in these cute disposable plastic cans shaped like sodas. Service was good if you order pickup or on the machines you just show or tell a worker your number or name and they hand it to you and voila! Dining in is a different experience it feels more of like a Korean High school vibe with trays and having to sort your own finished dishes and cleaning up after your self. I truly love this place and I've seen the changes Kimchi Garden has been through for many years and they just keep on bringing out their best.“

“Built my own bowl! Very good, the spicy gochujang sauce was also really yummy. I loved that there were a lot of topping options. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re craving some Korean food and need something quick and easy :)“

“Been coming here for over 30 years and the it's still the best affordable Korean food in the bay area! Prices have been rising accordingly and two of the guys behind the counter are still working here from when I was a teenager, don't see that much anymore.“
