“Awesome almost secret restaurant hideaway right on Whittier Avenue. Amazing interior with very creative dishes.Absolutely delicious food options with a very knowledgeable, wise, and friendly owner. There’s no reason that this type of restaurant should not blow up into some sort of chain that takes over the smoothie/açaí bowl industry with such a unique styleThe fact that they offer indigenous representation is amazing as well!Vegetarian options: I usually just get smoothies and fruit bowls, but I’m pretty sure the entire menu is vegetarian as our ancestors once ate“

“The service is really good. The cooking time is a little exceeded in time but it is because they actually cook real food there. The teriyaki bowl was so delicious, definitely recommended would also recommend the shrimp tempura as a side dish. The only downside is the soda station because it is out of order. so not too many options to choose from when it comes to having a drink …… its still a 5 star highly recommended!!!!!!!!“

“Nick provided hot and delicious platters and likely the best Mediterranean food available locally. Very friendly and the prices were moderate compared to the food portions. It's to see Mediterranean food in East LA and highly recommend to the locals for a fresh new cuisine to try. Will definitely return!!“
“I usually always go to the raspado place next door but saw they were open and I've never had a vegan bread before so wanted to give it a try and I'm glad I did I got the smily face cookie and oreja and they taste just like the none vegan ones from a regular Mexican bakery the cookie was actual better then the regular version it was super soft and flavorful Can't wait to go back and try more of there selections.“

“In my opinion. This place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. Special request on a order? No problem. They do their best to make sure it comes out exactly the way you ordered it. Hot and fresh. Always greet me with a smile. My recommendation on the menu would be the number #1. Sweet and sour chicken extra, extra crispy, sauce on the side. Also, with vegetables(instead of fried rice). Love my vegetables. ?????“

“Great tacos with amazing salsa. Some taco trucks has so-so taco but great salsa, while other trucks got amazing taco but the salsa is not as great. Asadero Chikali has them both in abundance. At $3.75 it's a little bit expensive for a taco truck, but I can't deny the taco is great and quite fulfilling. The barbacoa is so nice and flavorful, bold, and not like lots of kinda watery barbacoa out there. The meat is tender with some bite to it, but never chewy. Al pastor is okay, but the good kind of okay. I guess the guisado chicaron and barbacoa took me by surprise that the al pastor slightly pales in comparison. But it's not bad at all. I would like a bit more fatty chunks in it, but overall still quite amazing. The star of the show for me is their guisado chicaron. It's so smooth! Not gamey at all. The definition of comfort food indeed. And the salsa! I can't pick one. The red one is spicy and earthy. The green one is tangy but still have quite a kick. But there's one more, the red salsa with onion and cilantro, this the king of the land. With this salsa i don't have to separately get onions and cilantro. I wish to have this salsa on a tub always ready in my fridge. I want to pour it on evuhrythinggg“

“The coffee was so good, not as sweet as the big chains. It really doesn't need the extra sweetener it was so good.Parking: Located out front of the storeWheelchair accessibility: I didn't bring a wheelchair this time however I don't think it would be easy to enter however not impossible, it's an old building.“

“I literally fainted while waiting for my table and the staff was so sweet and accommodating despite me being so embarrassed. Shout out to the owner Joe with the pink beard. Food was also amazing, especially the hippo rolls and chicken thighs! Thanks for being amazing, can’t wait to come back (without fainting).“

“The quality of the food was amazing, it made up for the fact that it was online ordering. We had the little gem Cesar Salad, blistered shishito peppers and the mushroom soy sausage pizza. The cuisine was exquisite and provided an exceptional dining experience, with its rich and delectable flavors tantalizing our palates. We plan to come back again. The service was on point, friendly and accommodating. The inside is small yet very well decorated, the colors vibe with the plate settings. Truly enjoyed the experience.“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I’m not one to engage in hyperbole or overstatement, but the dinner we had a Bavel last night was quite possibly the greatest dinner ever served. Seriously, the creativity in the menu was matched only by the flawless execution of the chef and kitchen in the dishes we had. The cocktails are fabulous, the waitstaff delightful, and we eagerly anticipating our next visit. If you have the chance, do NOT miss Bavel DTLA.“

“This place is lights out delicious. The beef plate was cooked perfectly and the falafel wrap was amazing with the sauce. The falafel was nicely tender and juicy. The garlic and hot sauce were fantastic as well.Pro tip: Get one of the plates, mix in the hot sauce and a little bit of the garlic sauce into the protein (I went with the beef) and rice. Then mix in the hummus. Now you’ve got a dish that will rival the best halal cart in NYC.Also the pita bread that had falafel literally baked into it?Are you kidding me?Amazing.Great staff, great food. Will be back.“

“The ambience is great! Very nice and homey spot. The staff was very kind too. We ordered a bit of everything.Pros:Prices are very good for all the dishes. Nothing was over 15 dollars on the menu. The shrimp wontons and pan fried pork buns were the best items with the most flavor. The beef roll was huge in size. Great for people that enjoy cucumber and thicker slices of the meat. The bean curd salad had a nice bite and flavor to it. They also have sparkling water on tap!Cons:Parking is bad. Getting street parking is like winning the lottery. The other option is to pay for parking which can range between 10-30 dollars. The dan dan noodles and sha gua mian did not meet our expectations. The noodles seemed a bit overcooked and a sauce/acid could have given the dish more of a balance in flavor. Our table marker was taken off the table a little early and that's when we saw on the receipt that a missing item was added incorrectly. Our server fixed it promptly so that was great.“

“There wasn't much on the menu that appealed to me, but I got the lomo saltado taco. The meat was the tenderest meat I had ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly seasoned. It was so good I ordered another. So, that was $20. The beer selection is underwhelming. It wasn't a bad time, just not my scene. I'll go back if someone else pays.“

“Very cool brunch concept! I love the decked out motorcycle aesthetics! If you walk to the restroom, they have a really cool motorcycle! Loved the vibes and our waiter was very sweet and patient with handling such a large crowd. Props to him! Food was pricy but I think they had good serving size. For the meat, my suggestion is that you guys should cut it up. But overall I had fun but unsure if I would come again?“

“You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, with that said I love to try a different item on it everytime I get a chance to stop by. Taste and quality are always on point. It's awesome to see the staff having a blast together with great music in the background making the experience feel fun even when there's a wait. Pricing is perfect as the portions are generous and the flavors are like to other. So happy to see this business growing as I look forward to seeing them all over the nation one day. Keep serving it up #TYQ!“

“I recently dined at Cara and had an absolutely delightful experience. The truffle pasta was hands down the highlight of the meal - it was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The New York steak and ribeye were also standout dishes, cooked exactly to my liking and bursting with flavor. For starters, I highly recommend trying the crab cakes - they were exquisite and set the tone for a fantastic meal. And don’t miss out on the fries - they were the perfect accompaniment to the meal, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Overall, the food, ambiance, and service at Cara exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to dine there again.“

“My favorite soondubu place! Korean restaurants don't usually have much vegan banchan but Surawon always has plenty of options, usually at least 4 out of the 6 or so banchan are vegan. My favorites are the firm tofu and seaweed. The mushroom, seaweed, and veggie soondubu, as well as the japchae, bibimbap, and pajeon can all be made vegan, and everything is excellent. Service is quick and friendly!Vegetarian options: Plenty of clearly labeled vegan options on the menu“

“Outstanding food and service. Reservations were limited so we went right when they opened and snagged seats at the end of the sushi bar. The highlights for us were the inventive, perfectly seasoned hamachi choco and buttery salmon nigiri—but honestly we would reorder everything we tried and can’t wait to come back to sample the rest of the menu. Mariano made us feel like VIPs with his stellar recommendations and good conversation. So happy to have this gem in the neighborhood! We look forward to enjoying their sister restaurant, Bar Seco, opening soon next door.“

“On my way home from DTLA I searched for bagels on Yelp and Maury's came up otherwise I would never know about this place. I walked in and was immediately greeted with a smile and great attitude. Amazing customer service. The bagels were fresh and delicious. I loved their zaatar bagel with a labneh spread. So many interesting flavors of bagels and spreads and more. I loved these mini rugelach cookies were so good. Made on weekends only. So good. No indoor seating but some outdoor tables and chairs available.“

“Corn Man is my go-to spot in LA for satisfying late-night cravings with absolutely delicious corn on the cob. However, the surrounding neighborhood can be a bit sketchy, making it feel unsafe to hang around waiting for your order since there's only one corn man working.Despite encountering a few arguments with random passersby staring at me, the corn here is undeniably tasty and a definite must-try for those late-night munchies.“

“Lovely little hole in the wall in Boyle Heights! Obviously this place is very well known for being some of the oldest and most traditional food in LA and it deserves its local fame. Definitely worth a stop for a home-cooked, cozy meal. Owner was also super cute, she knew many regulars by name and was very kind. Parking was not great, area wasn't that great either but no surprises there.“

“The rose Tea with no boba that I order here does not taste like a tea. It taste more like a strawberry ice cream in liquid form. They should of called it strawberry ice cream rose Tea. ?. Because that is how my taste buds perceived it. It taste ok. It is not bad. I enjoyed it. But I was expecting a Tea type of taste. I appreciate the service here. Thank you.“
