“Do not sleep on this place. I have been to a lot of brunch spots and THIS PLACE WAS DELICIOUS. Since it's a Wednesday and we came right when it opened it was just us, so obviously fast and good service. We ordered the Crispy Thai Tea French Toast and they had a lunch combo menu where you could choose an appetizer, entree, and drink for $19.99. I opted for this option and the Pad Kee Mao and Spring Rolls were soo good. Other reviews have mentioned the Thai Tea French Toast was too sweet, but it didn't bother us, we thought the sweetness was fine! I will definitely come back again for brunch“

“Enjoyed a fantastic meal for the price! ? Opted for the red curry special on the lunch menu—unique presentation over a bed of rice. Personally, I'd prefer the curry separate from the rice because serving it on top of the rice makes it so that the rice absorbs the sauce. Pad see ew was tasty, but a bit more noodle would've been perfect. When the check came, the waitress gave me a beautifully presented dessert ? which was tasty. Two dishes for less than $20! It was a great deal and a delicious lunch.Loved the second-story setting with a street view. It was chilly inside on a cold day, but overall, a satisfying experience.“

“The food here was really good: the Grilled Beef Curry and the Umami Spicy Shrimp stood out for me, while the Pork Larb, Squid with Salted Egg Sauce, and Brussels Sprouts were above average as well. Fried chicken was just ok in terms of flavor, but was really crispy, which I liked. Staff provided good service, atmosphere was good for conversation, and the prices were reasonable. The only downside is that serving sizes were quite small, and my recommendation is to get a good amount of rice to pair with the dishes. 5 out of 5.“

“We started with the crispy sticky rice salad with sour pork sausage and ginger. Spicy! Good tasting, but a tiny bit over salted. The chili lime grilled squid and pork jaw was absolutely fantastic. We also had the crispy chicken with spicy curry paste and pole beans. The lemon zest on top was delicious. Highly recommend this place in the iconic hotel kabuki in Japan town.“

“Friendly staff and lovely seating interior. Food was delicious with good wok fire. The sizzling seafood plate was flavorful and went well with jasmine rice. The red duck curry was delicious with sticky rice. Coconut pad Thai was very satisfying and great portion. I saw lots of take out orders getting delivered every several minutes at dinner time. Glad to find out about this restaurant as it stays open till 10 pm. Easy parking in its own lot. I will come back to try other dishes.“

“We tried the Bahn mi, chicken and Croffle and Lobster Bisque. FANTASTIC!!!! Just check yes to all the above. If you like Iced Tea you will love the Thai Lime Tea. I had two glasses and would have liked to take a gallon back to the hotel with me. I will talk about that tea the rest of my life! Enjoy your meal everyone! We will be back.“

“Cool place (love the decor/style), nice staff & tasty food. Some dishes you will not find in the average Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. For example, the chef or owner is from northern Thailand so the menu features a top Northern Thai dish - Kao Soi noodle soup (beef or chicken), or the all time fav 'street food' grilled pork skewers (moo ping) served with sticky rice (ck out the menu on their website). I had the Pad Kemao Chicken (menu says beef but they are happy to make dishes with what you like & even have Beyond Meat dishes on the menu - cool to see stir fried basil with Beyond Meat (Krapao Beyond Neur)). The taste of my wok fried pad kemao was delicious, same or better than any I've had on prior trips to Bangkok. Glad to have discovered a solid Thai restaurant that doesn't have watered down flavors. Good to see they have a lot of gluten free and vegan choices on the menu too. Definitely will be back, keep up the good work!“

“Food and atmosphere were great! Just like having a flight of beer but with Thai food! Hard to believe they are located at the end of an alleyway but worth it! Our server was pleasant but service was subpar in my opinion. We had to serve our own water, she never asked if we had eaten there before so no recommendations/suggestions were made, after ordering we realized we had ordered the same salad with our meals as our shareable appetizer but the server never warned us of this, some menu items offered different salads with your meal but it’s not super obvious on the menu — server never offered clarification on this, when payment was due she didn’t inform us if we had to go up to the front to pay or she would come by with a machine. Other than the mediocre service from our waitress, everything else was great!“

“Excellent food with perfect taste and flavors. The price was right and more than reasonable. The quantity was substantial as well. We had the pad Thai and the green curry. We enjoyed both as it’s been difficult to find a good Thai place in the city.“

“My friend and I came here for lunch and it never disappoints. I have been here numerous times and the service is always great. I have ordered Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Basil Duck here and they are all super flavorful and came in decent portion. The spice they put is heaven for spicy lover because they somehow made spicy food flavorful. We will be back again to try other fishes.“
“Our neighborhood finally has a new gem of a restaurant! Everything about this spot is wonderful. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! Finally, a brunch I can look forward to, a few steps from my house...“

“A restaurant that proves two theories true: that Laotian cuisine is one of the world’s best, and that the tastiest food is almost never the prettiest. A meal to remember many moons from now, for $23.50. Order any of the Lao specialties from the menu’s first page.“

“Wawa Thai delivered a delightful dining experience with their take-out Pad Thai. The dish was well-executed, boasting a harmonious blend of flavors and fresh ingredients. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the balance of sweet, sour, and savory elements was spot on. Portion size was generous, ensuring satisfaction with every bite. Wawa Thai certainly earns a recommendation for those craving authentic Thai cuisine.“

“We ordered several items, pad Thai, pad see eew and papaya salad. All the items were delicious. The papaya salad was authentic as they come. This establishment has been around for decades and for good reasons. The service is super friendly. This is definitely a place for friends and families. It is also clean and spacious. There are street parking and also a parking lot in the back. In addition to the food, we also ordered the Thai ice tea and the ice coffee. They were also very delicious. Overall, we highly recommend giving this restaurant a try!“

“So happy we got to be one of the first customers to ever eat at this new Thai restaurant. The place inside is pretty small, but the decor is cute & simple. They make the most of the room by putting as many small tables that fit with seating mostly for tables of two or four. We were literally the second table to ever eat in this new spot. And wow, am I glad I decided to search Yelp today for lunch. The service was super sweet, friendly, and perfect. We had a hard time deciding on what to try first (because everything sounded good and the smells from the kitchen were amazing). What we ordered: - Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Excellently flavors and just enough spice for me. My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. Finely we found a great Thai places we can walk to from the University Village apartments. See you soon!“

“This place is much better than the Thai restaurant that used to be in the same location. Food was pretty tasty, we split the street combo spicy chicken. The chicken wings were pretty good and the spicy chicken dish was also good. The soup was just okay. It wasn't bad or great but it was interesting. Overall solid experience, but nothing particularly stood out.“

“Love this family owned restaurant! I've been coming here for years, and they never disappoint. They are consistent and tasty. Every single dish. I fully support this restaurant. I use to live close and went at least one a week now I'm 45 minutes out & wishing they had one closer to me cause I have to drive a good 45 minutes to get here but I gladly do it when I can. Prices have gone up, but that is to be expected. They are still delicious, so it's totally worth it ?“

“Had dinner here Saturday, and the entire experience was phenomenal. We were a party of 4, with two wheelchair users -- we didn't have a reservation, but were given friendly accommodation, willingly assisting us with rearranging seating to work for us. Dinner for the 4 of us was extremely reasonably priced. My wife and I ordered the "Deluxe Set," which is quite honestly a steal. Super delicious, and we had about half of our food travel back with us to Sacramento and become yesterday's leftovers for brunch. (Do not sleep on the Deluxe Set!!)“

“Our dining experience at Bangkok Garden last evening was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by the warm smiles of the staff. They promptly escorted us to our table, where our orders were taken and served with remarkable efficiency. Accompanied by our two young children, who were exceptionally well-catered to, we indulged in a variety of dishes. The grilled chicken satay and the fresh spring rolls were the stars of the evening. It's certain that we will be returning for another memorable meal. Bangkok Garden comes highly recommended!“

“A very convenient restaurant that's so close to the Orpheum Theatre. Very lovely interior and very good service. We ordered the yellow curry with chicken and pad Thai with chicken. More than adequate portions of both and reasonably priced! And delicious too! For dessert, we tried the mango sticky rice. Never had it before, not so sure if I would order it again - as we already ate rice with the curry. Carbs, carbs, and more carbs! I would definitely come back here again before going to the theatre.“

“The food is very good, as are the prices. Duck curry is excellent, although they could be a tiny bit more generous with the duck. A sense of authentic Thai cuisine and culture right down to the seasoning and herbal tea leaves.Vegetarian options: A few vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: Door seems wide enough. No stairs. Some tables accessible from the doorway. It is a relatively small restaurant.“

“Shame on me for never doing a review on Lers Ros until now. I've frequented this place more than any Thai place in the city. It's the best Thai I've had in the city certainly. I've had like 8 different things here and it's always reliable. There's some real adventurous stuff on the menu that I can't go for. But your typical Thai offerings are all money. This place has multiple locations which always worries me when it comes to consistent quality. I can't tell you what to get because it's all been good. Is there better Thai food in the world? Yeah probably, but as far as San Francisco is concerned I'll put this up against anything. (4.8 Stars)“

“Such great food and people. We were hungry driving around looking for that magical parking spot next to an acceptable eating spot bingo! We found it all at Gai. Unsure of what kinda of cuisine I said take the chance they’ve got a chicken on the sign so it’s actually food. And boy was it good. Delicious. Freshly prepared Asian Thai or Vietnamese food. I got the Original Chicken Rice bowl with side of broccali. My friend got the salad with Tofu. Both great. He sauces are fresh and flavorful. One is quite hot which I love. I recommend it. And as we sat there from 1:30 pm to 2:30, there were multiple to go orders being picked up. I think there were about 5 orders at a time rotating. Fresh Fast Full of Flavor. We hit the jackpot!“

“I love House of Thai. Their food is 200% authentic and delicious. Their menu has so many items that you don't find in any other Thai restaurants (I dare say) in the entire United States of America. I grew up in Thailand, so I know Thai food very well. Eating here takes me home every time. OMG, every bite is so full of flavor!!! Best Thai food in town! Better than the Thai food in CA's infamous Thai Town in Hollywood, Southern CA.Tom Yum“

“I love to take out of town visitors to Champa Garden. A trip here is a trip off the beaten path, away from the trendy parts of town, a trip to East Oakland, out of a lot of people's comfort zones. What kind of cuisine is it?? Is it Thai? Is it Lao? Is it Tai Lue? It's all of the above -- a cultural hodgepodge, hard to pigeonhole like the City itself. To further extend the metaphor, like Oakland, the flavors of Champa Garden are funky & fresh! The tables are covered in condiments inviting you to further customize these mashed up dishes. I haven't had anything I didn't like here. But don't miss the rice ball salad, or the Lao sausage. My son swears by their fried rice. Come take a trip to the avenues, be patient if you arrive at 7pm, over order (it's not expensive), and bring a few friends.“

“Very delicious! Authentic taste! Took me back to Thailand in an instant! We ordered spicy pork liver salad, spicy beef salad, fried fish cakes, Esan sausages, dried tomyum noodles, pork skewers, sticky rice. Spicy pork liver salad was so tasty. Soft, creamy and super rich! Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try authentic and hard to find Thai cuisine. Paired super well with sticky rice. 10 out of 10! Spicy beef salad was also great but shine less bright than the spicy pork liver salad. 9 out of 10! Dried tomyum noodles, was very good as well. Not as authentic, but very hard to find evnen in the Bay Area. 8.5 out of 10. Fried fish cakes, esan sausages, were ok. The pork skewers weren't so impressive. Too big, too Americanized for its own good. Staffs were friendly, and the restaurant is cozy with retro 1960ish theme decor. *We ordered so many dishes but it was so good that I forgot to take pictures.“
