“We moved here about 6 months ago and were looking for a good Peruvian place that survived the pandemic. Since then we go to Paradita once a week like clockwork. Our order? Lomito Bowl Alfajores Bottled coke Every time. No exceptions... but I recently saw they added lomito as a burrito. I might stray... Ambiance great, place clean, service quick. Certainly well-priced compared to Lomo Saltado at many other Peruvian spots. Definitely recommend. Ps Don't forget the spicy salsa!“

“Jayna offers an array of Mediterranean eats, similar to what you'd find at Nick the Greek. However, the food is 10x better! Not too salty, the Beef and Lamb gyro was extremely savory with flavor, it did not feel like the food was from the freezer. Got the combo and was MORE than enough food for a late lunch early dinner. May not need to eat later and if i do, I'll have leftovers. Definitely check them out if you want a more flavorful, fast-ish Mediterrean food experience.Huge shout out to Ali for his great service and welcoming smile!“

“This is more about the management side of things. I honestly didn’t have the BEST experience with them on my last order. BUT, they went out of there way to fix things. They are new in Oakland, just getting the operation together and I’m happy to see them there. They aren’t the cheapest but, I don’t want the Dominoes or Pizza Hutt experience (or quality) and if I pay a little extra for food, I want good service to follow. In the end, they offered great service. I’m impressed.“

“Quite literally the best Mediterranean food in the Bay Area!! If you're lucky enough to enjoy some Fava, you're quite lucky indeed. The falafel is crispy and all the ingredients are sourced carefully and the resulting quality is phenomenal!Jeremy and his wife are amazing and the kindest business owners I have come across in Berkeley - they really put the love into the food they serve. My go to's are the Falafel Flatbread Sandwich, Escarole Salad With Blood Oranges, and the Mango Lassi to wash it down. The perfect lunch on Saturday 10/10 would recommend to a friend!Thank you FAVA for bringing such an amazing food staple to Berkeley“

Totally recommend them if you're looking to have a legit Italian pizza experience!“

“This place is a ridiculous gem of a spot. Rather unassuming from the outside, but inside is a super focused, stylish and capable kitchen turning out a small menu of greatness. It almost goes without saying that this is not grocery store rotisserie chicken. You actually get crispy skin here, non generic seasoning and nosiness throughout. It's also served with fresh mint and cilantro, and all the chimichurri you can stand. The sides are impeccable with next level roasted broccoli and Brussels, both also served with herbs and bright sauces. All wrapped it up with really great service. Date night-level ambiance too! Only thing is you need to be ready for stinky leftovers because the amount of cruciferous veggies (cauliflower, sprouts, broccoli) you can get, but it's worth it.“

“I've been to Macondo a few times, and have loved the food every time. We decided to do a bulk order for my daughter's 2nd birthday, as the hand-held nature of the food and delicious flavors seemed like it would be a fun and easy option. Constanza (who I believe is the owner) was very accommodating and easy to work with. We ordered an array of baked and fried empanadas, several different arepas, and salad. I love that the vegetarian options still have a ton of texture and flavor. One of our guests stated that it was the best toddler party food they had every eaten :)The party was a few days ago, and I've already been back for some more empanadas! My favorites:- baked beef+potato empanada- fried birria empanada- bahn mi arepa- colombianisima arepa- Macondo saladVegetarian options: The salads are delicious and vegetarian, along with tasty options such as the mushroom empanada, veggie arepa, and tofu arepa.“

“Highly recommend the Paneer achari twist thin crust pizza! Very flavorful, could go little low on cheese. The pesto pasta was a bit dry. Seasoned fries were good. I recommend ordering their specialty twist items.Plenty of indoor seating available. They got board games on each tables to play while you wait for food. Service is good.“

“Unique salads, healthy ingredients and quite large portions. You should empty the container into a larger dish at home and stir the ingredients well.My favorite is the Vibrant salad, which has an outstandingly complex flavor mix. I still usually add the excellent lentil balls“

“Simply fantastic pizza! We got the pepperoni and I will get it again. The meatball dish (while pricey) is so so good. Great marinara, perfectly cooked bread, and the meatballs themselves were awesome.Really really good Caesar salad with anchovies. Would definitely get again.Beers on tap were okay. I prefer a German Pilsner personally so it didn’t really hit. And the IPA was more piney and I like citrusy. Should’ve gone for red wine - it would pair much better anyway.“

“A great little gem in a bustling historic location. Great to sit at a little table in the plaza and watch the people and pigeons! Friendly and prompt service. Drip coffee was fresh and hot. High-lite was the tasty croissant breakfast sandwich. Made fresh on the spot and not reheated like most cafes. Lots of toppings and options - next time I’ll try a veggie bagel sandwich!“

“Met with friends at Los Feliz golf course. We came into Morrison for a quick bite and a beer. We are so happy we came in. We come to this place a lot because it's the best pub in Los Angeles. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. We worked with the amazing Danielle. She was super attentive and is one of the best servers I've ever had. We had Don Julio 1942 for 10$ a shot!! Thank you so much, we will be back soon!“

“Was so excited to see there was a new brunch place in Berkeley and even more excited that it’s something outside of the standard brunch food items! The food was AMAZING! Really big portion sizes, too. The Thai Beignets came with condensed milk but the real star of the show were the pork jowls. The pork sausage was also good, it was a little dry for my taste but maybe that’s just how they’re made. The location was so cute, I couldn’t get over how nicely decorated it was, and the staff were very sweet and attentive. The only thing that is missing in my opinion is Thai iced coffee on the menu! Can’t wait to come back.“

“As a pizza connoisseur, when I heard about Roman style pizza, 'pinsa', with a different dough, I was immediately curious. As they note on their website, pinsa dough is made from a combination of soy flour, rice flour, and wheat flour, creating a crust that is light yet crunchy and satisfying. We ordered the Formaggio di Capra e Spinaci for some greens to go with, and then got the Quattro Formaggi and Prosciutto e Fichi for our pinsas.I find salads from pizza places to be very hit or miss; and Gusto Pinsa's salad was certainly a hit. The salad was perfectly dressed - it had a ton of flavor with the dressing, tomatoes, goat cheese, cranberries and walnuts coming together to provide an interesting textural contrast, with a nice hit of black pepper. The pinsas were the star of the meal though, as expected. Although I'm not the biggest fan of cheese only pizzas, the Quattro Formaggi was excellent! It was super cheesy and salty (in the perfect way), and the splotches of sauce provided nice balance to the saltiness of the cheese. The Prosciutto e Fichi was the preferred pinsa by myself and my partner, with the prosciutto and fig glaze providing a nice saltiness and sweetness that contrasted very well with the Quattro Formaggi. If you haven't tried Roman style pinsa yet, what are you waiting for? These pinsas were delicious and somehow felt much lighter than eating a regular pizza. We will be back!“

“Really good bagels, not exactly NYC style, they're their own delicious thing. PRO TIP: preorder from his online shop in the week that leads up to skip the line.Highly recommend the trout rillete when he's doing sandwiches. The proprietor is also just a great guy and writes an amusing/heartfelt weekly newsletter about the tribulations of a baker.“

“It is my first time to complain, I have always ordered food through Uber Eats and the presentation has been excellent and on 03/03/2024 I ordered dinner and it arrived so cold, a bad presentation, the taqueria-style food, I honestly did not like it, it always came better presented the lemon inside a bag so that the seeds do not come out, the food with something thermal so that it does not cool down quickly. And this time it was terrible, it was the worst delivery I received from the restaurant, I honestly felt very uncomfortable because it is not the first time We ordered food from Porto Fino ? and it wasn't the delivery person's fault because he arrived very quickly and was very efficient ?“

“Props to this new neighborhood biz, making a go of a challenging location. First order was very good, with fresh ingredients and well seasoned falafel in the wrap. Hummus and babaganoush were house made and delicious! Interior was spotless, but chairs not particularly comfortable as I waited for my take out. Staff was very friendly and efficient, (unlike most casual service operations). Looking forward to trying more of the menu. Kudos!Parking: Best to park down on Virginia/Courtland and walk up a block. Dicey to park right/just off High Street.“

“Quick Slice At Zachary's in Albany, WOOHOO!!! It's the friendly wait staff, perfect quiet room on a Sunday morning and satisfying portions of salads which keep me coming for more. As a former Cal student, I would hit Zachary's to take in their infamous stuffed pies. They're still keeping the tradition after 40 years. If you haven't had one, you're in for a tasty, hearty meal.“

“I've been coming to the lunch box for 15yrs. Jeff and Ann Marie are amazing owners. Their food never disappoints. I would be hard pressed to recommend only one or two things on their menu - want a great salad done, great sandwiches done, and hot plates done! You will not be disappointed.“

“Guys they absolutely mean it when they say these sandwiches are massive. But you have to stop by!! After seeing the reviews on Yelp I decided to pick this up for lunch. I walked in and was the only one and the lady at the cash register was so nice making conversation with me. As a tourist it was great to ask her questions and have a quick chat. I ordered what everyone suggested which was the Meyer on a Dutch crunch and believe this sandwich was amazing and I loved the left overs. The slaw was great and the meat was tender and the bread... I want that bread every day Small shop so definitely more to go but this place is worth all the hype!!“

“This pizza place is amazing! I ordered a pizza to be sent to a friend after we had an argument as an apology pizza and they went above and beyond! I asked for them to write "I'm sorry" on a cheese pizza in any toppings they had and they wrote it in olives and it was so adorable! They texted me a picture of the pizza to make sure it was okay and called when they delivered it to my friend who was hysterically laughing when they got it. Side note - they also said the pizza tasted incredible. Their customer service is over the top! Thank you pizza guys for your outstanding customer service and going above and beyond for an unusual request. You guys are so amazing!“

“As an Indian who is often skeptical of the restaurants around the Bay, I was quite impressed by this.Good value for money, overall good flavor (not too whitewashed lol), great service, nice ambiance.Wish the best to this restaurant and hope they include more South Indian dishes in the future!“
“This is a good lunch spot for FiDi. Sandwiches are $12.50-$14. Salads are $10-$11. Prices on their website are outdated. My sandwich , the LLB special $12.50 was roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, provolone on dutch crunch, was alright. The New England Clam Chowder $8.50 was chunky and not filled all the way up. That tasted OK as well. Friendly service for a counter style restaurant. Kitchen was fast taking account they were busy. I was pretty full afterwards.“

“I was looking for a breakfast/ brunch spot that was new to me and a friend suggested Doyle St. Cafe.Word was their blue corn pancakes were amazing. If you are a cornbread fan and the idea of cornbread pancakes appeals to you these are the hotcakes for you! The cinnamon vanilla butter sets them off on another level. The tip we got was to pour the syrup as you go, and that was sound advice!I had the Huevos Rancheros and my friend had the Ranchero Omelette. Brace yourself for a flavor explosion like none other. Want to take it to another world? Add the Cholula green sauce and buckle up.Drinks are in abundance. We had a dirty Chai latte, 2 mimosas and an Arnold Palmer. The service was friendly, welcoming and phenomenal. From the host, to the waitstaff, to the bussers. This place is a gem with an outside patio on dry days so your pup can come along.Vegetarian options: Most breakfast items are either vegetarian or can be made so.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegetarian and very accomodating of needs overall.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor plenty of space to maneuver. Tables that make it easy to accommodate a wheelchair.“
