Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!
