“Horchata was bomb. Tacos are small usually its two tortillas and spill-over meat makes a second. Tortillas were somewhat undercooked. Other than being small gourmet playhouse looking portions it was good. It was more once in a lifetime kinda meal not beefy hearty get full go to work filling kinda meal. Its more like a Go alone buy a second round of the sampler kind of meal. Its pricey but worth it.Parking: Dont wear plaid or red or blue. There was a face tattoo guy leaving the parking lot.“

“Wow this place just got added to my rotation! We came by after watching a basketball game at Tom's nearby. The drinks were sooo good (try The Billy if you're a tequila fan!) and they had just finished an event displaying the art of local high schoolers, so we got to walk the little gallery and see their work. Afterwards we sat on the couches and enjoyed the ambiance, I will definitely be back!“

“This is my first time trying Korean-Latin cuisine, which is so delicious! The owner suggested ordering the kalbi cheese fries which I'm glad that I ordered it! I got the rock combination plate and double cheeseburger as well! They have a self serve salad bar near the front which is convenient! The staff here so very friendly and it was a little empty at that time we came in so they were able to help us out! I loved how they put the posters around the store!“

“This is probably the highest-rated restaurant I've ever seen on Google Maps, and after having breakfast here it is easy to see why. The atmosphere is so casual and welcoming, the service is fantastic and warm, and the food is so, so good! You HAVE to eat here at least once, this is the kind of place you see in movies, the "spot" the protagonist knows. An absolute gem!Dietary restrictions: I am currently on the border of pre-diabetes, so I can't eat rice or tortillas. This restaurant does offer these things if you like (and I SO wanted them) but the majority of food available was packed with protein and fat, and there was a healthy salad to put on the side. Genuinely one of the best selections I could hope for.“

“I really liked the food. It has a good flavor. Waitresses were very attentive and treated me with respect and these three things are the most important in choosing a restaurant. Of, course, cleanliness. You guys need music! but, the rest excellent! Thank you!“

“Found this cevichera hidden on a strip of Hispanic grocery stores and barber shops. Small and cozy. Reminds me of places in Puerto Vallarta. All of it fresh and lots of pride put into cleanliness and honest service. ** Cash only ** Had the ATM break down on me while dispensing money and they offered to cover missing money and take it up with the bank later. No one does that honest transaction anymore. No one... Speaks a lot for the integrity of the business.“

“I just finished a review of San Laurel and wanted to do A shout out to this gem of a Bar. I will only be reviewing the bar at this point because I have not eaten here yet, as I said I just reviewed San Laurel because that's where we had just come from haven eaten most of their menu, we had fully intended on leaving. We stood at the elevator glancing to our left we noticed the bar at Agua Viva and decided we should take a look at it. Before we got there we were intercepted by a manager who couldn't have been more wonderful and helpful showing us around and telling us about the spot then offering perhaps a seat at the bar for which we gladly accepted. The bartenders again were perfect and accommodating. The drinks were all wonderful trying more then we should have but it was our anniversary and we did Uber there so believe me we paid for it the next day but we ended meeting most of the staff and talked to everyone, each person nicer then the next. Its a pleasure to have gone to both of these places on our special night, both places treated us like kings and I thank everybody we met and listened to us ramble on for hours. Thank you for making our day perfect I can't recommend San Laurel and Agua Viva enough!“

“A conglomerate of Guatemalan street food vendors located at the intersection of Bonnie Brae & 6th St. after 5pm. Parking will be the toughest thing to find but you may be able to test your luck at the Rite Aid/Food 4 Less plaza nearby. The food is pretty cheap but absolutely delicious! Pricing along all the vendors seem to be similar for the same type of foods and being able to speak Spanish is a big plusRecommend:- Garnachas (mini potato tamales)- Pollo y papa's fritas (fried chicken & fries)- Churrasco (grilled meats - notably the longaniza)Note: There is a lot of grilling & frying going on, so be prepared to have your clothes smelling like smoke after you leave.“

“The prices in the photos are not updated in the photos...but what I remember and what I paid 2 days ago:Tacos $1.75Burritos, cakes, quesadillas are worth $8.50Mules $3.00Sodas $1Small waters $1.50And that's all I remember, BUT the food is delicious....there are like 3 tables to eat in the place but it doesn't matter because many order takeout. They gave us a lot of sauces, onions, cucumbers, radishes and the waiting time was short, I think, no more than 15 minutes....but because we arrived at 6...later you can see that it gets more crowded. Oh, I forgot to mention that on Mondays the sign says they are 2 for 1 on tacos al pastor BUT they told me that the current promo is tacos al pastor on Mondays for $1...which is still super cool. In general they are 10 out of 10.“

“Good pozole. This is that homemade pozole that I had been wanting for a while. My friend brought me here. She said this place has been around for a very long time. I was surprised that I never noticed it. I wasn't a big fan of their tostadas. They seemed too stale. Apparently, they make them there but I can't say for sure. Either way... I still prefer tostadas from a bag. Place also looks a lil run down but that's not a big deal (to me). They could probably clean it up a little better but overall, I was satisfied with their food This place is at the very corner of a little plaza next to a laundry mat, liquor store and smoke shop.“

“We drove around yesterday and found this hidden gem! Omg was i suprised! We ended up getting the Molcajete for 2 and ended up leaving with leftovers! Huge portion for the buck! Plus fresh hand made tortillas topped it off! My other family members got the huge packed quesadilla for my grandson..amazing! The 3 tacos plate combo with beans and rice! Delicious! And the Carnes asada and shrimp plate! Did not disappoint! They got fresh aguas frescas, we got the horchata. And the employees there were so polite and were so attentive to us. Im definitely coming back to try everything on there menu! Stomach fell in love with this place. Need to visit for the prices! “Wow truly old school I met the owner Cuca she turned 79 today nicest lady I have ever met. She still working running the place with family. Walking, serving true customers service. They ate up to date they have a POS for credit still feels nostalgic like stepping back to my childhood. I am doing to go today. Ordered a dozen tamales and to Carne asada burritos looking forward to them. The smell is so great. Got home and tried the tamales, damn haven't had a tamale this good in so so long. Succulent good mix of meat and masa. Worth the visit They give you green salsa. They also gave me this other salsa red I guess but taste totally home made not hot hot but enough kick to give that umf and complete my burrito The dining area is nice to come in and eat. Honestly it's like going to a relatives house to eat. I plan on going in to dine. Even though there was a discrepancy with my order they fixed the issue promptly. If your looking for a mom and pop, old school feeling a proprietor who is there in the trenches working her customer service then I recommend this establishment. A Pico Rivera legend“

“I love this little place. I come regularly for the revuelta pupusas. Not greasy. Other joints give me a bad belly. Not this one. The asada torta also hits the spot. The ladies who run it cook food that I imagine they would make for their own families!“

“I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for over 10 years and I've never been disappointed yet. If you are new to this place please start your order off with a baleada (not sure if thats how you spell it), You wont regret it. The horchata is amazing and my go to entree is the Fried pork chop dinner with casamientos rice and beans. If you're looking for authentic Hoduranian food, this is definitely your go to.“
“I've had the carne asada quesadilla and asada tacos which are amazing. This food truck provides your food with plenty of sauces and sides to compliment their flavorful meals. I frequent them often as they are conveniently located close to my home. I haven't tried their tortas or burritos but will be trying them soon :p“

“I tried Champitas thanks to my bf for taking me, todo estuvo rico y el servicio estuvo bueno. Usually, when I go to a pupuseria, they take 30 minutes to serve me, but Champitas was quick to get my order in and handed to me. I believe it was because it was during the week and it was only one other group of men waiting to be served. Prices are reasonable, pupusas are $3, which isn't bad. The size of them are regular size, not small not big. While eating. I did notice they had a 'B' inspection grade. I didn't figure out the reason for it, but yeah. Everything from the Horchata, to the fresco was great. I think I will return.“
“Wow!!! I randomly stumbled across this place because I was fed up w traffic (LA people know what I'm talking about). Pepper Steak w Fries was unbelievable! I've had my share of great steaks but I literally used my fork to cut it up. That speaks to the quality of the meat. Homemade tortillas were thick like a pita which blew me away. They soaked up that mushroom pepper sauce to perfection. Apparently this place is under new ownership and the Chef knows his $H!T...he came out talked to me and told me he has been here less than a year. I cant speak on the rest of the menu but what I ate was amazing! Beer and wine too. Ignore that Pico Blvd. traffic and treat yourself to a steak and beer. I rarely write reviews as you can see but this place deserved one. Enjoy“

“Wow I hadn't been to this place in decades. I wish it would have been on other terms, but any how my oldest daughter, Christina and I stopped by for a quick bite. Still looks the same, very clean both in and outside . Their menu choices changed. More items to choose from. But the taste and flavor is unbelievable . I had a burrito de Chile Verde it was good. My daughter ordered the asada fries. I said damn, they look bomb can I taste some? She said of course mom. And I did, I ate some and some more. Forgot about my burrito. These asada fries were amazing. I'm not exaggerating but where I stay at (Pomona) I have not tasted asada fries, well I have. But not quite like these. No joke, these were delicious ?! We need Lucy's out there in IE area. Cause it's a bit far to travel out this way just for some asada fries. But for these here I will. I will definitely be back!!!!“
