“This is a hole in the wall restaurant that seems to be a neighborhood favorite. There are not many tables inside, but they have a lot of covered seating outside behind the restaurant. Parking is limited, but we found some nearby at a strip center. 4/5 - Complimentary Tostadas: Served with pico de gallo, salsa and bean dip. Really good. 4/5 - Horchata 4/5 - Eggs, Beans & Carne Asada: My husband requested this (since it's not on the menu) and they made it for him. He was very happy. 2/5 - Beef Machaca: The beans and rice and tostada were really good. I didn't love the machaca though. The food came out to 3.5 stars. Service was friendly and attentive, so I will bump it up to 4 stars. I think this is probably a good lunch / dinner location.“

“The food was good , except for the shrimp, is not peel from the middle to take the black 'thing' out, like it clean you know. I think is a costume , to just boiled them and eat them like that.I'm not peaky, but you know, just to eat those shrimp like we do in the Motherland!!!!!!!“

“Food was a great value ? ? I always order raw oyster to gauge food quality at seafood restaurants. Raw oysters cannot be served unless it's fresh because raw oysters are prone to food-borne illness. If a restaurant sells fresh oysters, I feel confident about other seafood menu items. This place did not disappoint. Raw oysters tasted great, and they were big.On this occasion, we ordered 16 raw oysters, a lobster tail with corn and sausages, and gumbo soup with rice. The total came out to $55 give or take, after taxes. I left $9 tip for the one waitress manning the tables. It was a great experience. And I would definitely come back.Another note: the raw oysters are $1.50 during happy hours. This special price offering worked to the restaurant's favor because we ended up ordering more than we bargained for lol...“

They had great flavor.LA Pink salad was very good with an excellent crushed maple walnut dressing dressing.The Moules Frites, probably the best I ever had, even better than in Belgium! Ipswich Claim had a wonderful coating and excellent flavor. The Fried Brussels Sprouts outstanding flavor. The French Dover Sole with the lemon, capers, butter and parsley, amazing flavor. Lump Crab Toast bold and delicious flavor.The one dish I would pass on next time is the Tins. We had one tin with Sardine In Olive Oil With Lemon and one with Hake In Green Sauce. They just lacked flavor.Service was top notch.“

“My friends took me to Leona's sushi house earlier this week. It was last minute, for my birthday and we were able to get a table without a reservation! The decor and the mood was great. Lighting was sexy. I don't even mind that I had to use my cellphone light to see the menu. ?. Drinks were great! Everything was delicious. Especially Loved the Black Cod and the spicy edamame. “Went here 5/1/2024 for lunch serviceHostess greeted me at the door. Sat at the bar and got Chirashi and Hokkaido Uni.Chirashi comes with soup and salad. Miso soup has tofu and chives, house salad has great dressing mixed in and the tomato on top the skin was peeled, sweetness burst in my mouth! Delicious.Chirashi has a mountain variety full of fish. Comes with what looks like octopus, sweet shrimp, crab, salmon, tuna, chutoro, albacore, yellowtail, seared white fish, 2 sweet scallops. The rice underneath was seasoned with seaweed and pickled seaweed. Very tasty! Also the rice is from hokkaido! Really great rice texture!Hokkaido Uni was very delicious! Definitely a treat!Service is great! My tea cup was never empty.Will definitely come again and try their omakase.“

“Came here for some fresh seafood. You can't go wrong by coming here because the shoppe provides high quality products. It's a tiny gem of Noho. I got myself some scallops and shrimp. So worth it. Anyway, went to Cabo a couple weeks ago and the tour guide recommended a Mariscos restaurant right next to the beach. I thought nothing of it as I've been to many other type of restaurants here in LA. All restaurants are the same, blah blah. I was completely blown away by the aguachile and I knew I needed to find something similar here. I loved it at Cabo because, the shrimp was 'raw' marinated with lime but still 'raw' I tried Vallarta and it was a huge disappointment. One day doom scrolling on Yelp and I found this place. Couldn't wait, had to give it a try and I nearly cried. Whenever food tastes amazing, I always clap because I'm applauding the chef. I'm applauding the food and I couldn't clap this time because I didn't want to put down the food. I got the medium sized aguachile, a pescado taco and a camaron taco. The flavor in the shrimp taco was unbelievable. The batter was so soft yet, crispy and the cabbage with the dressing was spot on! Next time, I'm definitely ordering 2 of each. The fish taco was super flaky, seasoned. Amazing. The aguachile, I regret getting the medium, I should've went all the way to large. Extra large if I could. Don't get me wrong, the portions are huge. I'm by myself and I made the aguachile last for 3 days. I would've eaten it in one sitting but, I have jaw issues and I couldn't continue. The tostadas they provided was amazing. I'm said there was no avocado but, luckily I had some at home. Even tho the shrimp was raw, it was juicy and delicious. The service was amazing as well. Workers inside the truck were so nice, offered a chair under a tree because it was sprinkling lightly lol. Anyways, I'm gonna go back this week and next week cause I can't stop thinking about it. “A rating for health inspection, which is hard to get when you have a buffet.This is a little out of the way, but I am WOWed.I saw the sign for 11.99 buffet with 30 items to choose from. So, I obviously thought, probably garbage, but for the price, I'll try it.I walked in and was immediately greeted by the host. He seated me right away, brought me water, and kept it flowing.Key things I loved right off the bat. Naan and Garlic Naan are served as part of the meal. Chai is also served as part of the meal.At most places they will give you water, but no other options unless the price has gone up for a weekend style buffet. Also most places will give you Naan but if you want garlic it costs extra.So, we were already off to a better than 2 star rating.Now the buffet spread. Everything was clearly labeled.One other thing I liked is they kept the vegetarian dishes on one side and the meat dishes on the other, as to not mingle the foods by accident. My friend had a hay day about that one time we went to go eat.I tried a little of everything.I have to say the only thong I wasn't super impressed by was the chicken curry rice option. The flavor was a little on the bland side and it was a bit oily.Otherwise everything was fantastic.Top Dishes:The Eggplant and the Chiken Tiki MasalaActually I'll say the Chicken Tiki was fantastic. Most places use mostly milk, yogurt, water, with spices and a little sugar to make this happen and you can tell its liquidy instead of thick and rich.This was yogurt all the way with a hint of milk to make it slightly less thick. The seasoning on the chicken with the rich creamy sauce come into your mouth and sets off those feel good neurons which make you say, "More please!".There are 4 types of dessert and don't miss the orange carrot puree one lingering in the back, because it is quite good.I'd expect a buffet like this to be around $16.99 or higher. Exceptional quality and service.If the map says 3 miles away... drive the 3 miles!“

“The first time I came, I got a Surf and Turf shrimp and steak taco. After I placed my order, someone else got their order, and they raved about their food. Wow! They were not wrong. It was delicious! On the second visit, I was kind of craving their Surf and Turf Torta, but that taco was still on my mind. So, I got that and also tried the grilled fish and steak taco. I would do it again. Nice little gem. Btw, I got my order to go, and they traveled well.“

“I love Italian food and this place did not disappoint. I entered the restaurant thru the back, where they have very limited parking. There's more parking across the street. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with all the wonderful smells of Italian cuisine. I personally love the pesto gnocchi. I also recommend having their lemon drop martini. It hits just the right spot after a long work week. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Very attentive and can definitely recommend something that you will absolutely love. The chips are thick homemade and salsa is also home made - spicy but not too hot. No store bought chips and poured out container salsa - this is the real deal! Tortillas are hand made too. This is a Legit, quality Mexican food restaurant in a casual, clean welcoming environment in the middle of NoHo! Breakfast and lunch available…closes early so no late dinners. “This is one of the best restaurants we know of. Not only is the food fantastic, but the owners and staff are amazing people. They are very kind and considerate, and very willing to accommodate large groups, or an occasional special request, etc. We've had several larger groups events catered by them as well and they are terrific to work with about these. And let me mention again how good the food is! They have a big menu and we've never had a dish that didn't look and taste great. It's not just Chinese food but they have some other Asian dishes as well.“
