“Great food and service! Special atmosphere“

“We shared the broccolini and a vegetarian pasta, both were delicious. Amazing strawberry rhubarb cake for dessert. We also ordered the beet appetizer- we asked for one and the server recommended we get two because they were skewers. When they came we understood why... they were so tiny, about one big bite of food each. Definitely not worth $10 for 2! Overall a great meal but I'd avoid the tiny skewers next time.“

“Can say enough about how amazing this food is. We make a long drive to visit as often as possible. Fabulous ceviche, wine, lomo and other incredible Peruvian dishes. The service is superb and the chef and his team make you feel like family. Love them! Highly recommend.“

“I really want to love Shakewell as we live down the street. Unfortunately I am finding the food mediocre.... Last night I had the salmon dish which was quite dry and pretty tasteless...my husband had the steak which he said was flavor less.... Very disappointing!!! We will keep trying and hopefully things will improve....“

“One of the better spots I've been to recently - loved everything we got on the menu, including the Serrano pepper soda which was so fun. We had a few different small bites from the appetizer menu and a paella. All dishes are well prepared and the server was very transparent about the one that wasn't prepared in house (the stuffed squid was served in the can that it came in, but an exquisite bite!) More like 4.5 as service was a little bit hectic (granted it was on a concert night, I heard), but the food was great. Will definitely return soon to try more things on the menu.“

“SQUID INK PAELLA. One of the most memorable and interesting dishes I've had anywhere this year. Great value for the meal and lovely well-lit brunch atmosphere. Traffic seems to clear out by 1pm for brunch. Highly recommend ordering a paella for the table right when you get seated, well worth the 30-45 minute wait. Churros amazing and not too sweet. Amazingly subtle flavors on the shrimp and octopus. Brussels sprouts were a bit more tart than I expected from the balsamic. Horchata had a hint of carrot taste that I personally was not a fan of.“

“Just had a phenomenal meal with a large group to celebrate a great friend. The food was incredible - we seriously had almost every item on the menu. Everything was delicious but my top three were the Lechon Paella, the Tomate, and the Chuleton; it was difficult to not eat second and third helpings of each of those, but I knew we had several more tasty dishes to come. The service was fantastic; my sangria and water glasses were full at all times and we never had a moment without something yummy on the table in front of us. We had quite a bit left over and everything was boxed a labeled for us so we could take home more of what we loved. I highly recommend Bellota if you have a special occasion or if you just want to have a fantastic dining experience.“
