“I love this restaurant. The pan con tomate is one of the best things I've ever eaten. A lot of people complain about the price, but you're getting extremely high-end food that would cost even more at a stuffy restaurant. Everything is high quality and meticulously put together. Also, it's a wine bar. If you want large portions and want to be a glutton then go to Applebees...“

“What a charming place. After a comedy show at the Paramount, we were looking for something to eat and this place was on our way to the motel. It was really hopping in there. They squeezed us into the lounge area, which was really comfortable. We didn't order a lot of things, but what we had was really good! Empanadas and plantains with shredded beef. We had a mocktail as well which was delicious.Loved the shared plate thing too!“

“Viridian is an awesome place to go after work or hang out with friends during the weekend. During happy hour, my friends and I shared tam yum tater tots and the salt and pepper wings, which I highly recommend. I also tied the Tomato Beef cocktail special, and I would definitely order it again. It's light in alcohol taste but packs a flavorful punch. Just a tip: make reservations as it gets packed, and there's a time limit for dining in to keep things moving smoothly for everyone to experience.“

“We shared the broccolini and a vegetarian pasta, both were delicious. Amazing strawberry rhubarb cake for dessert. We also ordered the beet appetizer- we asked for one and the server recommended we get two because they were skewers. When they came we understood why... they were so tiny, about one big bite of food each. Definitely not worth $10 for 2! Overall a great meal but I'd avoid the tiny skewers next time.“

“Natural wine and snacks in uptown Oakland. They have a good wine selection and sell bottles to go, even my favorite Tessier from Berkeley! There's a miso sample plate from Shared Cultures and other little salty snacks and food with good bread. The service is great, they know the wines and give good recommendations. It's a nice place to have a wine or cider and chill.“

“GREAT PLACE FOR HAPPY HOUR!!!! If you are looking for a happy hour spot, this is your destination! They have affordable bites: wings, oysters, fries, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, and they have reasonably priced wine and spirits! This will always be my recommendation for happy hour in the bay. The fries were good, and they give you a large/shareable portion. The wings were tiny and almost looked like chicken nuggets, but my friend ordered though and I didn't try them. The deviled eggs are topped with a pickled radish. I didn't try that either, but it looked good. The drinks were good and staff was friendly. Love it here! Great location, but you have to find street parking or park in the lot across the street. I took Lyft.“

“Late night to-go order of filet mignon pho, had to reheat the broth but debatably the best pho I’ve ever had. Adding the hoisin sauce takes away from the already delicious flavor, usually I add a little but it’s good on its own. Want to come back for more food and the bar next time. Service was fast, attentive and friendly, atmosphere was chill and looked upscale.“

“Flight delayed equals wine flights. Am I right? Yep, our flight was delayed by a ton in terminal one. So we decided to check Vino Volo out. We tried the red and white wine flights. I love how they have this option. It's great for indecisive people like me. Had to enjoy some meats and cheese of course. Our server was awesome and attentive. Such a great way to end a beautiful weekend. Ambiance is obviously loud af.“

“One of the better spots I've been to recently - loved everything we got on the menu, including the Serrano pepper soda which was so fun. We had a few different small bites from the appetizer menu and a paella. All dishes are well prepared and the server was very transparent about the one that wasn't prepared in house (the stuffed squid was served in the can that it came in, but an exquisite bite!) More like 4.5 as service was a little bit hectic (granted it was on a concert night, I heard), but the food was great. Will definitely return soon to try more things on the menu.“
