Stopped by for a nightcap post dinner. The only real bar in the entire main drag, but little else. Gets livelier as the rest of the street shuts down by 9am. The draft beers we tried tasted fresh and flavorful. Nice seating inside and on the curb.
I’ve lived in San Mateo County for almost two decades and have heard tales of the Saddle Room, but this is my first visit. It’s a tiny, hole-in-the-wall, old-school Redwood City dive bar. As the name implies, it’s a western theme, and I assume it has a lot to do with all of the horse ranches further out Woodside Rd. It's a good old fashioned pub. Nothing fancy, just a nice comfortable place to have a drink and make a friend. There is a large outside area where you can smoke and have a drink, which is hard to find. It's my go to place after a hard days work. The service is the best !!
