“Authentic Southern Thai cuisine at its best! Karakade Thai truly delivers on the bold, spicy flavors characteristic of Southern Thailand, using a perfect blend of herbs and spices, not just peppers. While many restaurants lean towards fusion dishes, I appreciate how Karakade Thai remains faithful to traditional flavors. A must-visit for anyone craving genuine Southern Thai food!“

“I just want to take a minute to thank you for,yet again, an amazing meal. Your food is simply fantastic. I have only had 4 or 5 meals from you so far but every single one has been just SO GOOD. I can’t wait for whatever I try next. When you have a few things you have never had before and every one is amazing it makes me want to try everything else you make. So fresh. Amazing flavours. Incredible tastes. Sensational! Congratulations!!“

“There are so many options on the menu, and I just wish I could try them all someday. Every single dish is nearly perfect, with some tasting even better than those in the original country. The food here is accessible even for first-timers and those who have never had Asian food before.I’ve heard that the chef is an expert with extensive professional experience in Japan, which reflects in the choice of ingredients that perfectly complement each dish’s flavors. Not to mention the high quality of their service; all the staff are prompt and friendly, well-trained, and equipped with knowledge and experience, ensuring customers have a comfortable and enjoyable time during their visit. It’s the perfect place to recommend, invite, and gather with your friends and family at any time!“

“I came in for lunch on a Tuesday and received quick and friendly service. I ordered Pad Thai and a Diet Coke and my total came to $18 and some change, which I found to be fair pricing. FWIW: I chose this restaurant over the several other Thai restaurants in the area because the others all seemed to have ridiculously high prices. The Pad Thai was great and I have no complaints at all. I also really like that they serve their canned sodas chilled, with a chilled glass filled with ice. Not just a glass of ice, a chilled glass of ice. Cold Diet Coke in a cold glass with lots of ice...IYKYK. I'm not in this area often, but if I ever am, I will definitely return.“

“The food was pretty good, the ingredients were fresh but the prices where high. So overall, while I appreciate this restaurant option in our neighborhood, the price will probably keep me from coming back again. We got the chicken wings (excellent flavor), pad Thai with shrimp (pretty fresh, though lacking excitement), Penang Curry (our least favorite dish because its consistency was more of a soup than a curry), and mango sticky rice (we liked it although it didn’t seem authentic as the mango was hard and tasted more like an apple than a Thai mango). The total including tax and tip was $92.Kid-friendliness: High chairs for kids. Hand wash sink outside of the restroom.“

“I’m Thai and my family was in the restaurant business so I know Thai food. Our group of over 10 people dined here today. Food was great. It was a team event so we requested a prix fixe menu and budget control. The restaurant was very responsive and go above and beyond to help us with the arrangements. The menu options was good. We had some vegans in the group and vegan options were good too. Everyone in my team loved it. Thank you for a wonderful evening!“

“In December we ordered from here for the birthday dinner of visiting family. 8 people altogether, some foodies with high standards, one toddler, some dietary restrictions... All the food was superb! Every dish we tried was a hit. The roti curry was a favourite (family are from the Caribbean, so they had high hopes for this and were not disappointed), green curry and spring rolls were also amazing. Salads and Siam rolls were very good. When we went to collect the stuff staff were incredibly helpful and carried all the food to our car even though we hadn't parked that close by, and they gave us all iced milk tea for the ride home. Probably the best takeout I've had in the bay area for a long time.“

“Pumpkin was undercooked, almost raw. Roti was oily. Green curry roti small portion. Brown rice very good as well as sticky rice. Service was swift. Spicy noodle veggie dish very tasty. $220.00 for six people. Eating out is becoming prohibitive due to inflation.“

“We visited Siamese kitchen yesterday for dinner. Spring rolls were good not oily. Pad kee maw was spicy and flavourful. Coconut ice cream was good too. The dishes were a little pricey but may be because of inflation.Overall service was quick and good, tasty food and nice ambience.“

“I came here for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon. It worked out perfectly since we were able to avoid the lunch crowd. I ordered Thai Chow Mein with beef. It was really good, ingredients were so fresh and perfect seasoning. The service was prompt from seating us, taking our order, bringing our food and making sure that everything turned out well. Prices are reasonable especially considering that this location is on California Ave. No parking directly in front of the restaurant since the street is closed for traffic but there is a parking garage on the street behind. Depending on the time you come, you can also find street parking nearby. The place is pretty small, but they also have outdoor seating.“

“Thonglor Thai Bistro remains a staple in our Thai food rotation, offering consistently satisfying dishes that outshine many competitors, despite not being entirely authentic. During our recent visit, highlights included the duck noodle soup, boasting a flavorful broth and tender duck, accompanied by perfectly cooked noodles. While the chicken panang curry was enjoyable, it didn't stand out compared to other offerings. The mango salad was a standout, achieving a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors, though a few more shrimp would have been appreciated. The fish cake impressed with its delightful spices and bounciness, complemented perfectly by the accompanying cucumber relish. The Thai iced coffee was a refreshing treat, albeit slightly diluted by excessive ice, and we wished for a stronger, more pronounced coffee flavor. The restaurant's cleanliness and pleasant natural lighting added to the overall ambiance, though service remained minimal. In conclusion, Thonglor Thai Bistro continues to deliver reliably delicious Thai cuisine, making it a go-to spot for those seeking flavorful and satisfying dishes in a welcoming atmosphere.“

“The food was actually really flavorful. This place only takes credit card and you have to use a kiosk to order, they do not take your order for you. You can tell most people order online in advance. It did take a little longer than I expected to get my food as there is no seating inside, only outside. So you have to just stand there until it's ready - it was about 10 minute wait and there were 3 people ahead of me. So it's not going to be a fast in and out like a Chipotle.Overall the food was really good with average/medium sized portions. I would recommend this to others if you are in the mood for some Thai!“

“We came by on a Saturday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. I did notice that they had a lot of pickup orders though. They are located in the corner of a very small parking lot. We found street parking after circling a couple of times. There were plenty of vegetarian options. We ordered the Thai Tea, Crispy Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles with Tofu, & the Spicy Fried Rice with Tofu. The crispy spring rolls were good but just slightly too oily for me. We requested the Drunken Noodles and the Fried Rice to be at a medium spice level, but even then I was chugging my Thai Tea so just be aware. The spice level is what I want at a Thai restaurant. The Drunken Noodles did seem to have more tofu than noodles but it was delicious regardless. I think what stood out to me the most was the service. They were so nice even though we came right around closing time which we didn't realize until the server mentioned it at the end of dinner. Definitely come by for some Thai food, especially if you like spicy food!“
