“So I heard that they were doing breakfast biscuits, from 7-9am on mondays. Headed out there, made it a little before 8am thinkin yeah, I'll get a biscuit. When I tell you that there must be people waiting at this place BEFORE 7 I mean it, they were sold out. This only made the mythical breakfast biscuit even more desirable. I will be there at 7am next week...hell, 6:45 even. Hanging my head in defeat I went to leave, only for him to come running after me offering just a biscuit so I wouldn't leave empty handed. This man is doing the lords work, aside from the biscuit being absolutely fire, he just gave it to me! I'm elated truly!! Midtown bakery thank you so much for being a literal bakery temple, whatever your recipes are or secret ingredient... it must be crack. It's so good my human brain can't even comprehend it. Mark my words, if you're coming to get a breakfast biscuit sandwich thing next week you will have to fight me to be first in line. I would die for this, I need it and I would live for it too. If you ever have the chance to go here, it's worth waking up early. Just don't come before 7am next week that's for me and my breakfast biscuit worship time. If Midtown bakery is a temple I am a devout worshipper.“
“Service excellencent. Cash or check only. No bueno Coffee tasty. Small cups though. Like larger cup so less refills Had chili Colorado w flour tortillas. Tortillas were hot hot hot! Tasted homemade Chili Colorado w papás had decent flavor. Not like I'm used to but good. I just wish there was more flavor to it and a tad more serving size. I marked down 1 star for no CC and small serving size. Good neighborhood staple“
“Kind bean is my favorite Ethiopian place! Every dish is fantastic. They have both vegetarian and meat options. Always tastes fresh! The Ethiopian spiced tea is so delightful on cold days, especially. Raw Kitfo is my all time favorite Ethiopian dish and their's is superb.“
“Stopped by here in the morning on my way to San Francisco Saturday March 16th, 2024. The breakfast bacon burrito, mocha iced latte, and apple pie pastry was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was very mom and pop shop which I loved. And the service was really personable. Making this spot one of my favorites and I will be back!“
“This is my GO TO place when I need bread. They have various sandwich breads, sourdough, and pastries. I have actually been coming here for years. Bimbo produces breads under various labels. They also have those pizza breads called bouboli's in which we use often This is a bakery outlet. This is day old bread (where nothing is wrong with them). Pricing will vary depending on what goes on sale. We just got hooked on the KETO seeded bread which is 2 for $5. Normally, selling around $4 at local grocery stores. I typically buy enough bread for almost a month and freeze it. Besides the bouboli's and Keto bread, I have purchased lots of sourdough, and various sliced bread brands they support Bread from here has always been wonderful and well priced. At times, they will have sales. This is not a very big store. But packed in with lots of stuff. As I pointed out, I buy enough bread for a few weeks. So, I walked out with 8 loaves of KETO seeded bread. Most in my freezer. Oh, also, the keto bread is pretty good. You can't even tell the difference. And most of all, lowered carbs Great place and highly recommend others to come.“
“What can I say about this bakery where I don’t sound like I am fan girling? I love small businesses that support other local small businesses and farms. Their food is not only beautiful to look at, it is easy to devour in one sitting if you don’t have self control, but you can feel the hard work and love Faria and the employees put into it. One doesn’t have to travel far in Sacramento for wonderful naturally leavened baked bread and pastries. Follow them for specials and unique surprises. It is so worth the calories and smiles!Vegetarian options: Many items are vegetarian friendly. They may have a few that are vegan friendly too.Kid-friendliness: It’s a family friendly place! Want kid doesn’t love chocolate and bread?“
“This is the best place to get some hot, delicious, sweet senorita bread. By far one of the better bakery that I've went too. Aside from senorita bread, they to sell other delicious Filipino baked goods. It's a small mom and pop shop, so expect to get a bit crowded when going. Definitely we'll worth the time to come here and grab some senorita bread.“
“Gem of a bakery. You can find Japanese classic baked goods such as an pan(red bean bread) and green tea bread along with western baking. They really do everything so well! I was very overwhelmed with the vast selection. But the staff was patient and offered suggestions that really helped. Now let's talk food. I went overboard. I got: Classic An Pan which is sweet red bean bread. It's got generous amount of red beans so good! Strawberry red bean cream bread. Omg this one! The cream is light and milky along with sweet read bean and a pillowy soft bread! Chefs kiss! Green tea Kobe cream bread. Bread is sooo soft and the green tea custard is a perfect compliment. Blueberry cream cheese danish is flaky, sweet and creamy. Croissant is buttery but doesn't feel heavy. Maybe not like the best croissant in the world but really good and comforting. Ham and cheese croissant is savory and cheesy and so good too. The place is small but the ordering process is very efficient so you don't have to worry about waiting too long. Love the cozy vibes. I will be back for more!“
“When you want a good variety of dessert go to SpiderMonkey's. We had the Ube beignets, sweet potato pie, and german chocolate cup. Ube beignets were warm and delicious. I've had grandma's sweet potato pie so I was curious on the taste. Pleasant surprise the sweet potato was an upgrade from grandmas'. Great customer service as well!“
“I've had nothing here except for the coffee crunch cake but that alone gets 5/5 stars! My mom ordered a 10 inch cake, 4 days in advance, for $43 dollars. The price has gone up in the last few years but I'd say it's worth every penny. The softest sponge cake with a coffee crunch layer on the side; it's not TOO sweet, which is appreciated by my parents and grandparents. I haven't had any of their other pastries but I'd love to try them someday when I am in the area. Not to mention the inside is clean & the employees are just the kindest.“
“The pink delight is the best standard chocolate cupcake ever. The buttercream frosting is perfection. My second favorite is the PB&J, although it's extremely messy. During March they had an Irish Cream that was fantastic and their seasonal flavors have all been really good. The service has always been top notch as well.“
“Stopped by today to grab something I seen on another persons review a banana cream latte , but my phone died so I don't know what I got lol it was good it was a banana latte not sure about the cream part ... Anywho this location is a cute getaway from the hustle and bustle of the DOCO. There were quite a few customers , only 3 tables available and 2 of them were dirty. The woman who took my order was pretty dry , I figured it was me, but after she helped the patrons after, she was off. But the champ making the coffee was nice as hell and it was delicious. They have the self serve water, I know folks love that. Also their bathroom requires no code or key, which I love lol . The one star missing is bc of the no whip , i understand coffee houses don't really carry it , but they sell desserts with whip ?? Maybe it was butter cream....“
“Brioche chocolate bar- The brioche bar is extremely filling, between the brioche is filled with cream and chocolate chips with sea salt sprinkle on top. When you bite into the bar it is soft, but firm. The first thing you will taste is the cream followed by an explosion of chocolate. The sea salt acts as a nice counter balance to all the sweetness, it is like having a taste of soft pretzel. Wonderful work of art, highly recommended to try if first time coming.Chocolate cream puff- More like chocolate cream bomb, the size of the puff will fill the palm of your hands. The puff is filled to the brim with cream where the texture is velvety with just the right amount of sweetness for me. Surrounding puff pastry is extremely soft, biting in you will feel no resistance as in biting onto air. I recommend having extra napkins at the ready because it is going to get messy.I only bought two pastries where it comes in a nice rectangular box with the logo sticker on top. With each pastry having their own sheets for me to grab so my hands wouldn’t get messy. Shanna the owner is extremely friendly and talking to her made the entire experience memorable. For first timers the bakery opens only on the weekend Sat-Sun at 8am-1pm. Most of the bakery is dedicated to baking boot camps for young children learning how to bake. Shanna also hosts private events at the location and creates custom cakes as well. If you are curious about certain items availability please call ahead to make sure because I know the cream puffs will be gone.“
“This coffee shop has the best food menu. The BEST food menu! A good amount of desserts, and also baked goods (although I'm not sure if they're made in house or not, but boy are those baked goods tasty regardless), and made with your normal popular Asian flavors like ube, pandan, coconut, etc. They've also got yummy hot meals too. Ranging from udon carbonara to Hong Kong style French toast; bacon & egg breakfast sandwich to a Longanisa breakfast plate; lox bagel to avocado toast, and just so much more! And with an equally good and diverse coffee menu to match **“
“What a wonderful neighborhood gem this is! Stopped in to get some treats for clients and the line was out the door. Fortunately their system and staff were so efficient, everyone was taken care of with personal care and I was out in plenty of time.I’ll definitely be back!“
“Best bánh mì in Sacramento. The bread is crunchy but soft enough that it doesn't cut your mouth/ is too hard. I love getting the small bánh mì because it's the perfect size and the fillings are perfect. The grilled pork banh mi is the best. Also get the pate so (meat filled pastry) if you never tried it. Something not on the menu is the croissants. They have almond and raisin both HUGE and delicious. Price is also really affordable and service is fast. I've seen people say workers are rude but.. this is a to-go place. As long as I get my food quick. It's all good. LOL. They're just trying to get through people quickly bc it gets packed so fast.“
“First time here. It was recommended by some we met at a park. Anyways, the staff was so friendly, they saw when we needed help, almost like they knew what we needed ahead of time. The food was way delicious. You got a whole plate for such a good price for the quality of flavor and amount. Don't go to the boys down the street who wish their food was as good, plus they're overpriced.“
“Pushkin's Bakery in Midtown is a cute bakery close to the 80-freeway specializing in gluten free and dairy free baked goods. Inside is a quaint room, where you are greeted with a display case of their daily pastries and can catch a glimpse of employees in the backroom busy at work. I really enjoy their Green Turkey and #3 breakfast sando, as they have a good balance of greens, protein, and the gluten-free bread. Today, I ordered the Smoked Salmon, which I feel is their take on the classic cream cheese, salmon, and bagel flavor combination. The sandwich had a little less smoked salmon than I would prefer but tasted refreshing with the cucumbers and greens. If you are visiting for the first time, I would note that there is no seating inside. Outside of the bakery, there are 3 tables with umbrellas for seating. On the weekends during busy hours, plan to take/eat your food to go. Additionally, they do not serve any drinks or coffee at the Midtown location. A classic move is to grab a coffee nearby at Temple Coffee or the Pachamana Coffee in the Co-op to enjoy with your food! When it is busy, expect to wait up to 10-15 minutes.“
“Favorite coffee in Sac so far. Lattes are good. Mocha has more of a bitter chocolate flavor that I prefer. I don't like them overly sweet. Ice coffee is bold! I bring bags of the coffee to my sister in the Bay Area and it is her favorite! She now orders their 5 lb bags online to ship to her. It is actually a very reasonable deal! Only thing is the staff isn't super friendly. There are times they don't even look at you when you place your order. I e been to the alley location and they have been pretty friendly. Just this location seems to be off.“
“This is a cool little bakery. If you're tired of Danish and doughnuts and want a sweet or savory treat, this is your place. They serve several drinks as well, and also make breads cakes, puddings and more.Parking: 85 Degree Bakery is located in Arden Fair Mall, next to Macy's. You can access 85 ° Bakery from the outside of the mall or the insideWheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking is provided in the parking lot, you can enter through the door outside the bakery, or through the larger doors from inside the mall.“
“The cake castle created a very elegant, four tiered cake with four different flavors for my wedding. They listened to all my request and created exactly what I wanted. The best thing about the cake was the cake was the cake...,,,,So delicious. We had carrot with cream cheese filling, Almond with raspberry filling, chocolate with chocolate and lemon with cream cheese. Many of our guests commented on how delicious and moist the cake was I highly recommend the cake castle for any of your cake needs.“
“I ordered for a slice of their signature cheesecake, and it was absolutely divine. The creamy texture and rich flavor were perfectly complemented by the buttery graham cracker crust, creating a heavenly indulgence with every bite. Paired with a freshly brewed cup of coffee, it was the perfect pick-me-up for a leisurely afternoon.“
“I drove past this place so many times. I finally had time to stop an check it out. I ordered the tuna melt an a chocolate covered strawberry parfait! LET ME TELL YOU! One bite of that parfait an I felt my soul melt in my seat an my spirt lift from how good this dessert was. I can not believe how good it was. I do not know how they were not sold out of this dessert! The tuna melt an fries were SO fresh! I highly recommend trying this place. An Please for the love of food!! Get a parfait! You will NOT be disappointed! Would have added a photo but I ate it all lol the people here were so nice as well!“
“I love this establishment in Old Sac. Their soft serve ice cream is delicious. I typically order mine in an almond waffle cone with the black cherry swirl. On this visit, my kids opted for the chocolate soft serve swirl. This flavor is kid approved.“
“Every year I order the lemon cake for my husband's birthday. Every cake I have ever bought from this bakery is divine. If you love someone and really want to get them something special - this is the go-to bakery just don't forget to order in advance.“
“I have never had a bad meal or pastry at Estelle Bakery. Although they need to enlarge their parking lot. I have driven by numerous times, finding not one parking place. It's frustrating, but understandable. All i can say is, if you drive by and see a parking place, GO IN! It's worth it.“
“Ended up going in on a fluke, saw the baklava picture on the window and wanted to try it. Everybody was great in this place (not just workers) we ended up having lunch and had the greatest conversation with worldly and cultured people. I had a great time on what was intended to be a quick stop. Falafel, baklava, kabob were all fantastic. Definitely going back on the regular!“
“Lisa was extremely helpful and friendly. One of the cookies I ordered wasn’t ready so she gave me the option to wait or swap it out. She answered my question regarding the birthday reward and showed me in app where it will pop up. I will definitely be back.“
“Neighborhood chain for multicultural sweet and savory! ~ While on a kolache and cookie spree, my cousin who lives nearby introduced me to BAD Bakers and I've been coming here ever since whenever possible when in town. Upon entering, this place looks sweetly delicious with an impressive variety of sweet and savory pastries. My favorite rare-to-find kolache options, uniquely addicting ube and tropical fruit flavored breads are available here! We've often bought a variety of each to sample and enjoy there, on the drive or at home. My cousin and I love the soft ube cookies but both thought that the fruity bread was too sweet. The beau and I love kolaches and these were satiating but heavier on the cheesy crisp side (as pictured) than most kolaches we've enjoyed. Service on both occasions have seemed to lag so a patient sweet tooth is good to have at this BAD Bakers.“
“ABC is awesome! Amazing shui mai, huge potstickers, great pork buns of both the baked and steamed variety, egg tarts - you name it. The littles love it as much as we do - especially the jumbo chocolate chip cookies. Word of warning - things sell out early, and the lines can get long (like around the building out the door long). So come prepared to wait, and get there early for the best selection!“
“COCONUT CREME PIE! COCONUT CREME PIE!!!!!If you haven't tried yet, let me tell you how amazing and savory their coconut creme pie is. Perfect fluffy cream & filling proportion. It is pure heaven at first bite!! This has to be the best creme pie I've had (better than banana creme pie!)They have different flavors every day. So it's best to call before you head out here to see what flavors they have in their shelves! It's a nice & small cozy shop, with no tables available for dine in. Small parking lot, but plenty of surrounding street parking.“
“As a mochidonut lover, this is one of my favorite spots! I like how there are staple flavors that are (mostly) always available, then weekly/seasonally rotating ones. Each time I've gone, the dough is consistent--nice & chewy, distinguishing it from the traditional American donut--and there are flavors like the powdered sugar that aren't too sweet for those who don't have an overly sweet taste. The black sesame and matcha are among my absolute favorites. The only thing I would critique is the service can be spotty, especially because you order at the kiosk but need to follow up at the counter if you order donuts. Sometimes there would be no one at the counter, and I've had experiences where the service isn't clear (they gave me my donuts and said have a nice day but didn't mention the status on my drink; not sure if they knew I had ordered one?). Overall, though, this is a must-try, especially if you've never had mochidonuts!“
“Las Palmas has been part of South Sacramento for over 20 years. Very generous and giving family towards the local community. Pupusas are fire. The cabbage salsa is always on point. Pupusas are always hot fresh and consistent. Thank you Laura for the wonderful service.“
“Lots of parking. Friendly staff. Clean establishment. My favorite was the lemon croissant donut which was bursting with flavor. I've been to many Paris Baguettes before, but this was our first time at this location and won't be our last.“
“These cookies are so good! Just remember to watch the shelf live! If they are older they get harder and not as flavorful, but if they are newer they taste incredible like a deep dish cookie! I especially like the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and the oatmeal raisin ones are also super tasty.Vegetarian options: All cookies are vegan“
“You can always smell the delicious cookies being made even before you walk in. New flavors each week! Able to order at the counter or the tablets. Only one employee doing it all, but was able to help out. Ordered one cookie ($5), a chilled chocolate raspberry truffle, the cookie is pretty large. In my opinion, I think the cookie was good, but a tad too sweet. The raspberry jam was elevated the cookie.“
“As soon as I learned about New World Bakery Fortune Cookies I knew I had to try them. This is definitely a hole in the wall gem. The store is pretty tiny but you're able to pick up bags of fortune cookies for $3 and mess up cookies for $2 as well as giant cookies for $6.It's clear consumers like me are a tiny part of their business, but they were super friendly and I picked up ten bags of cookies.Make sure you have cash when you stop by and get ready to enjoy tasty, local fortune cookies.“
“I was invited to a private party this week. The hall was brand new, beautiful, cozy. The bathroom was clean. This party room is perfect to small and medium events such as birthdays. There were plenty of parking spots around the party hall. Food was plenty and delicious.“
“I love this store!!! Always very clean, their produce is the best, they always have my mineragua even when everyone else is out and their not as pricy as most of their competition...it just feels more homey, like their part of the neighborhood“
“Duc Huong had a line out the door and I needed a banh mi lol, so I googled searched for another joint that maybe people be sleeping on. This place is hidden for sure. Through a gated property, buildings look empty save for a boba place and a Vietnamese juice bar. Long sandwiches is tucked away around the corner where the fountain is through a covered patio. It was dead when I went in but didn't compromise the freshness of the bread or the ingredients. I got the bbq pork banh mi with everything on it. Was $6.95 and warm and fresh. It was delicious. Def will come back!“
“My niece took me to Sellands for my birthday. We both had a tuna sandwich. The bread was handmade and the tuna was very fresh and tasty. There is a thin pickle slice and purple onions on the sandwich. The perfect addition . We also shared an order of crispy fries. Very hot and crispy. Top quality ingredients. I will definitely go there again.“
“I love their house salad with a scoop of tuna. The bread is always fresh and the creamy dill is amazing! I also mix it with the herb vinaigrette which is so yummy! I even buy some dressings for the weekend sometimes. Oh and the Spicy Thai soup is great - light, not thick, but full of flavor. I'm hungry now!“
“It feels like that "lunch date" place for me and my wife. The lunch specials are delicious and enough variety to fit any appetite. We tend to sit in the covered outside area which is never too hot or too cold. The employees are knowledgeable and look you in the eye when they are talking to you. And the desserts... amazing!“
“Amazing food and amazing staff. My wife and I ordered from here recently for takeout, and the food was so fresh and wonderfully seasoned. The people who work here are very nice and helpful too. We definitely will be back and highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to try delicious, fresh food reasonably priced.“
“Was next door grabbing tacos for lunch when the heavenly aroma od baked goods pulled us in. Nothing like some freshly baked Mexican pastries. Also got flan, but that didn't last long enough for a photo. Lol Grabbed a variety to drop off to my pops. He loves these! If you haven't already you must give this place a try!“
“I've been here before and it was really good. This time, I had the breakfast egg sandwich in a croissant. The croissant was hard. I'll have to go back and give them another try. Maybe it was a bad day for croissants. I'll try it again, tho. First time I was there i had a fig Danish. And it was amazing. All these other Danish look amazing. The coffee I had was also really good.“
“I showed up to Pegasus bright and early-- too bright and too early, actually, since I had failed to check the hours. I had to wait a few minutes for them to open. As soon as the door opened, a line began to form. Even though I had been waiting for the shop to open, I still managed to be second or third in line. At first, because I didn't see any of the items I had been hoping to try, I was just going to pick up a hazelnut pastry. As I was about to pay for it, I asked, "You don't have any pineapple rolls, do you?" "Yes, right here." This is when I realized that there were several trays of baked goods behind the counter that hadn't been put out yet. "What about a green onion and sausage roll?" "Yes, just one?" The pineapple roll was good, but was not what I expected. Most of the roll was just dough, while the top was glazed with a sweet, crunchy pineapple-flavored layer. Still, the dough was really good-- hot, fresh, and a little chewy, almost like mochi, but better. (I don't usually like mochi, but I loved this hot, sweet, slightly chewy dough.) The green onion and sausage roll beat my expectations. I think this may have been the single best roll I have ever ordered from any bakery so far. Hot, moist, fresh perfection. The sausage looked like a hot dog, but tasted more flavorful than that. The dough was mind-blowing. Memorably good. I think this might become one of my new favorite bakeries. I can't wait to come back and try more of their goodies.“
“Have loved this place for YEARS. The cookies aare always tasty and just the right combo of soft and crispy. Don't hesitate to go, just remember they close when they run out of cookies, They bake the cookies fresh daily, and sometimes you can snag day-olds which are just as delicious.“
“I come here to get cute little Bundt cakes for my coworkers or family members. I love surprising them with these when I know they have a favorite flavor. They have an Andes Mint candy flavor currently that sounds delicious! I got a Red Velvet and Confetti cake Bundt Tower. I also got a sunflower and ribbon attached for an extra cost. The service is fast and friendly. The parking is easy as it’s located in a small shopping center. Their products are a bit overpriced in my opinion but they’re so cute!“
“There are many things that make Moonbelly special, but here are 2 that stand out the most to me.First, every pastry that isn't a cookie or a loaf is made with a beautifully laminated croissant dough. This is not necessary and could totally be done with cheaper pastry for everything other than the croissants, but it is incredibly delicious and luxurious.Second, nearly every day they have a pastry that is savory but does not have meat or eggs. To have a consistent pastry option with veggies in it is genuinely what gets me out of the house to go to Moonbelly.Vegetarian options: They have savory pastries that are vegetarian (not vegan) on the daily, and it is awesome. Veggies and cheese nestled into flaky croissant dough is my favorite way to start the day.“
