30 Best Barbeque Restaurants in Sacramento

“My brother and I were on a "steak run" road trip last summer when we decided to deviate from the plan and try some BBQ instead. We selected Our Family BBQ based on recent ratings and proximity to our camp site. Talk about hitting the jackpot! The BBQ was OUTSTANDING and the portions were HUGE! And at a fair price!!! I promised the owner I would leave a review when we got home... and I forgot... but I'm making up for that now. If you're ever in the Sacramento area, you've got to give this place a try - you will not be disappointed! And this restaurant will remain on our list of "go to" places if we ever decide to "steak run" in Northern California again!“

“We came here on a whim since we were driving into the area. I'm so glad that we chose this mom&pop location opposed to the other korean restaurants nearby.The parking situation is a bit awkward, it isn't located in the best area but it's fine as long as you find a spot right in front of the building. Upon arriving, there were only two other parties which indicated that they weren't really busy. We sat down with big appetites, so we were ready to try out different dishes. It seemed like there was just a wife and husband behind the counter and kitchen. It was a very friendly atmosphere and it was almost like being at home.Everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious and filled us up. Next time, I would order the gochujang sauce on the side since it made the wings a bit soggy after a few minutes. There were so many sides that it filled up the entire table. I love how there was unique banchan that I never had before which made the meal taste even better. I would definitely recommend this place!“

“One of my favorite places to grab a drink and enjoy some sunshine! The food is excellent. I have a Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, and they have tons of options. Their menu is clearly marked for gluten free items, which is so lovely. I also clarified with the servers about whether their sauces contain gluten (they're all gluten free!) and they were very helpful and informative. The bartenders were also really helpful when navigating the drinks menu. Urban Roots always has wine and ciders, which are all delicious (yes, I have tried all of them!). My boyfriend is not gluten free, so he indulges in their beer menu, which he loves. Easily a 5 star review!“

“Amazing staff! The menu has a wide variety of authentic choices. I’ve had the cold noodles, beef bulgogi, seafood pancake and other items but those are the ones I remember being extremely tasty! As well as the small complementary side dishes they give you while you wait on your food. Definitely a hidden gem!“

“Everything was fantastic. For a party of 6 on a Saturday night right at dinner time, we barely had a wait. Service was quick and attentive, but not lurking or over your shoulder. Food was clearly fresh, well made and very flavorful. The night was a pleasure.Parking: There's plenty of parking, but it will fill up during peak days and times. If you're handicapped, plan ahead...as those spots may fill up fast.“

“We came up from Nevada we had to try Roxy's we tried the meatball Mafia that was amazing and also the barbecue brisket sandwich it was okay the meat was a little fatty but other than that it was really good they didn't have the tri-tip we will be “

“One of the few good values left when it comes to all you can eat restaurants! The value is unbeatable at less than $20 a person after tax and tip. It is your standard Mongolian BBQ format where you create your own bowl to your preferences and hand it off to be cooked. If you are paying the dinner price you are allowed to create as many bowls as you like.If you are on your first bowl, you can request a to go box which is nice if you don't end up finishing your first bowl.The staff are wonderful and it's a fun little place that appears to have been here for quite some time. Definitely worth a stop and don't forget to tip the chefs!“

“Da Fei Ge restaurant is a must go to restaurant that has authentic Chinese skewers and a tasty clay pot. My wife loves Skewers, and she said these are the most authentic and tasty skewers she has ever had. I enjoyed all the skewers as they were seasoned very well. Thia will be a spot that I will come back to because it is that good. The Black Pepper Beef Rice Clay pot is flavorful and tasty. We loved the chicken skin, lamb, beef, pork belly, chicken heart, bacon mushroom, potato eggplant, squid, capelin, and chicken gristle skewers. We love the service and how quickly the food came out. We also love how nice the place is.“

“For $36 per person and unlimited meat and appetizers for 2 hours it was great. They switch out your grill and are on top of it when you want to order another round. The manager Eric is amazing and super nice. He came by our table and made sure we had a great time. Definitely going back again.“

“Pretty good chinese cuisine! Inside it is nicely decorated, nicely renovated with even a live waterfall. Tables and floor are clean. Chairs wrapped in gold colored cloths. Overall a nice interior Food quality is pretty good. The beef steak tasted really tender, which means it was probably a high quality cut. The portions are also pretty big. Price is a bit on the high side, but it seems like that is the industry segment they are going for. Staff are pretty friendly. There are also Karaoke rooms in the back if you want to host a private party. Overall a good place to go for quality chinese food!“

“Ended up going in on a fluke, saw the baklava picture on the window and wanted to try it. Everybody was great in this place (not just workers) we ended up having lunch and had the greatest conversation with worldly and cultured people. I had a great time on what was intended to be a quick stop. Falafel, baklava, kabob were all fantastic. Definitely going back on the regular!“

“5 stars for kalbi jjim, i can see why it's the main star here it's pretty delicious! I tried their haemul kalguksu too which was also good, packed full of mussels, shrimp and has a cute sized crab in it as well. I don't eat shellfish but had to try and enjoyed the noodles. I definitely want to try their other soups here. Enough leftovers to last me 2-3 nights lol. Wang Mandu was also wanging. They were humongous.“

“Everything about this place is wonderful! Came here for the first time and the experience was top tier. Our server Steven was very attentive and informative, service was over the roof amazing! “This place has changed a lot. Ever since I've known this place it has changed owners 4x! But I've been coming here since I was also 12 years old lol. Love that they serve raw larb. “Really love my local L&L, normally get a bbq beef plate and chicken katsu plate.I rate Hawaiian bbq off their Mac salad, this one does it right and the cabbage is shaved (thin sliced) makes it easy to mix and eat with the protine choice.Food came out quickly and they packed all the sauces in with the plates without being asked.Soild choice if you're in the area.“

I went in today for the first time to pick up a few items I ordered, and it felt like I was coming into a spot that I’d been coming to for years. Everybody on the staff was so nice and made sure I was taken care of while waiting.While waiting, I got to meet the man behind it all, Los, and that man is working some magic over at this spot. They’ve only been in this spot for a little over a year, but already are the best BBQ I’ve had on the west coast. There’s just something to it. Even as I’m writing this, the peppery smokiness of the ribs and links just make you feel like you’ve never had BBQ before. If good food is what you want, they’ve got the great stuff here.Even on a little bit of a crowded intersection, they’ve set it up to where you feel like you’re in your own oasis away from the noise. “I usually get one of their many salads. They are well-prepared and delicious.You have to order at a counter and your food is brought to your table (non-alcoholic drinks are self-serve). The staff are great, but it isn't a full service establishment.The decor/atmosphere are utilitarian.“

“I did one stop at this place and i still remember the taste of the bbq rolls sandwich. His homemade bbq meats was the best bbq I have so far! The sauce was pretty authentic. I highly recommend everyone to try out this new spot. Little hidden in the big business building, but it's pretty easy to get in and out fast. And the bite on that roll is very worth your time to go.“

“The staff was super welcoming and friendly. This was my first time stopping here and I felt like I was stepping in to some Hawaiian history and nostalgia. I like having a little vibe even if we were getting carry out. We had the Hawaiian BBQ and kalua & lau lau plates. They were very generous portions for the price. Quality and flavors were also spot on. They explained the lau lau was an acquired taste, which we appreciated (even though we're the adventurous type). Indeed we liked the flavor. Good soul food! “my go to for Hawaiian food in Natomas as they offer more selection than Ono. Prices here are still reasonable. have had the Loco Moco (gravy on the side) and the Portuguese Sausage and eggs plate and both were delicious. Only 4 slices of sausages provided though and they were flat in shape (think sliced spam). Dining room is large and clean. Looking forward to trying the other dishes.“

“We've eaten at many different Korean restaurants in the greater Sacramento area, and this is the best as far as the food. Parking is terrible, the restaurant is a bit crowded and noisy, but the food is worth it. A great selection of banchan (small dishes) to start off, all very good quality. We usually come with a group of people, which lets you order a variety of dishes to share. Dolsot bibimbap had a great array of ingredients, served in a hot stone pot. Galbi is very tasty (ask for scissors to cut it off the bone). Mandu was tasty (but be careful, it came out very hot, don't burn your mouth). My favorite is the Haemool Pajun, lots of seafood. Everything we get on each visit is tasty and freshly prepared. Again, best if you can go with a group (we had a reservation for 8 people). Always a busy place.“

“I love this place. Not only is the food great, the service, ease of ordering, self-service drink area and atmosphere is also on point. I work in the area and usually only come for a late lunch and always get the tri-tip sandwich. They let you customize the doneness of the meat which is also fantastic. Definitely my go to lunch spot when I'm in the area“

“Definitely hard to find. But this place is inside of "The Press Club". You might have to be 21 to simply eat there cause it is a bar/club.. You make your order with the bartender and they do have a section of like 3 tables where you can sit and eat your food but it's loud from the music. Otherwise super good!“
