They stopped making pastries. Their pastries, not their chocolates, were rapidly becoming the reason I'd go to Ginger Elizabeth. Which is crazy, right? I mean, before they opened their patisserie, I was going for their chocolates. But sadly, their chocolates are not as good as they used to be. It breaks my heart to say it. I've been going to Ginger Elizabeth for several years, and their chocolate was always on point. Until recently. I don't know what's going on, but their flavor combinations have been borderline disgusting lately. My partner got me a 48 piece box for my birthday, and only about a third of them were yummy. The rest were ones I gave to friends who'd excitedly eat them, get a weird look on their face, and politely say "hmmm... well, that's unique". So yeah. I would say maybe it's just me and my taste buds, but when the overwhelming consensus with my family and in my friend group is "yeah, no thanks" I'm pretty sure it's not just me.
