On top of that if you were ever curious about this Colombian/Venezuelan dish called arepas then this is the best place to try it out. Cozy little corner on Valencia having a full range of arepas. “Not child friendly. The host acted like we were lepers and seated us at the farthest table with the worst view. When we asked if he could push one of the dozens of empty tables together or if we could sit at a 5 top he declined. Then he came over and asked me to move my purse from on top of the table in case they seated someone else next to us, which they never did. It seems like he could wait until it actually was needed to do so, and he never would need to do so because of the 12 other empty tables and the fact that there was only one empty seat left at ours! The food was great, the wait staff and kitchen staff were outstanding. I doubt we would go back because the host was so rude and made us feel really unwelcome. And for the record, my son has eaten at plenty of fancy restaurants. He’s mature, polite and behaves, so it’s not like he or any of us did anything to warrant this.“

“A very tasty and delicious authentic Mexican spot to grab some grub. They have some healthier options on the menu for those that are trying to keep health conscious while eating outside. Definitely try the pork burrito and ask them to make it spicy! It was super tasty. The portion size is also quite large. The staff was super friendly and willing to accommodate our requests. Will be back again!!“

“Their food is incredible and staff are generally nice, but I forgot about their “no laptop policy” and was stopping by for breakfast thinking I could finish a little work there using my hot spot. What an idiotic policy in a city of remote workers, on a main commuting road. Food is always 10/10, but more than half of the time I’m out, I have work since in order to afford SF I have multiple jobs. It’s very strange to sell a commuter friendly food, yet host such an inhospitable cafe. It explains why it’s empty most of the time.“

“Even as a Brazilian person, I was yet to see a steakhouse like Espetus. As I saw the reviews, I needed to give it a try but my expectations were not that high. However, from start to finish, the meat and especially the rice were surprisingly tasty. Our server Bia was so nice and basically customized her service to comply with people's personality, which is not something you see often. Wonderful! Summarizing, if you want to be well served and eat good meat, that's the right place to go.“

Both are delicious & I'll always keep coming back for them! Food always comes out of the kitchen very fast but still tastes like it was made with care. Nice cafe atmosphere & all the staff are lovely.Also, I love the way they do their breakfast potatoes! Where I grew up, the most common side to have with breakfast is "home fries", which I've always loved, but is surprisingly hard to find in the city. “Parada 22 has the best wine offerings just ask Charla my Sister and Nicole who dined with me there several years ago. Their Sangria is the best I have ever enjoyed. Some of the San Mateo restaurants. La Fonda for one( the owners whom I have known from my GroceryClerk days ) serve Sangria that unfortunately tastes like watered downed Hawaiian Punch) however their food there is excellent! Parada’s Sangria and Puertorican food is also excellent.“

“Got these via doordash and was pleasantly surprised! There's nothing like fresh pupusas but they did a good job of delivering them hot and with the cheese all melty. The plantains were delicious too and everything was sustainably packaged in compostable boxes and a ziploc for the cabbage. Also very reasonably priced! Their interior looks festive, cleanliness is ok 3 stars Food was decent but not spectacular 3.5 stars Service was friendly 4 stars We ordered Mole Chicken, the chicken was tender but the mole sauce needed more flavor. My husband ordered the poc chuc that came with tortillas which was freshly made, it was the best dish from our orders.“
