“A friend brought me here and it has become my favorite restaurant. This is a place where you can feel the atmosphere of the American Western. What's interesting is that you should drop the shelled peanut shells on the floor. That rule. No wonder the floor was so noisy. Be sure to order the purple cabbage salad and cheese bread. Free salad refills.“

“The lounge is conveniently located within Hilton San Gabriel. It was spacious and comfortable. The staff were inviting, friendly and extremely efficient. They took wonderful care of us. For lunch we ordered: clam chowder, Caesar salad, beef taquitos with guacamole dip and Parma ham and mozzarella flat bread. All the dishes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. My only two suggestions would be to serve crackers with the soup and maybe change the flatbread sauce to a marinara. I had an old fashioned with my meal which I really enjoyed. The drink was well balanced.The lounge is a non tipping restaurant. It’s odd I know, at least for me it is. The tip was already added to the final bill and we paid approximately 65+“

“There wasn't much on the menu that appealed to me, but I got the lomo saltado taco. The meat was the tenderest meat I had ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly seasoned. It was so good I ordered another. So, that was $20. The beer selection is underwhelming.It wasn't a bad time, just not my scene. I'll go back if someone else pays.“

Decor is modern with a chic feel, and though this spot doesn't serve food there was an amazing pizza truck out front which they allow you to eat inside the bar. Bonus points for easy street parking in the area. Definitely looking forward to having more drinks here very soon!“

“Hidden away in the city of Los Angeles is this amazing bar that serves one of the tastiest omakase. Entering the bar, you see a bar top that seats approx 10-12 people, with a open kitchen vibe. My partner and I had a great time. The Sunday crew was very nice and attentive, engaging with the customers and making things fun! The selection of fish was amazing, definitely a different experience compared to other omakase establishments I've been to.Parking was very easy since they provided easy simple instructions on their website :). “I've been here twice now! The first time I went it was absolutely perfect and I was so excited to go again. The food was wonderful both times with every dish tasting amazing! The cocktails are incredible too - I'm still dreaming of my lemon drop martini! The only thing on my second visit was that it was really cold and I had to keep my jacket on the whole night, and the noise was just a tiny bit too loud so I had to yell to hear my friends... “I made a Resy reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Street parking was accessible and convenient a few steps away from the location. Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. As I mentioned last night, the dinner was great but the service was even better! Thank you for making our anniversary dinner memorable :)“

“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“

Unfortunately the Pinot Gris we wanted was no longer available but I thoroughly enjoyed the Grenache. We ordered the ricotta and bread appetizer, Caesar salad, pork tagliatelle and soppressata and honey pizza. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. “The best place for a foodie !! Mom and I had a blast!! She ate the Governor Tacos I had the Black Tide. I ordered the Hibiscus taco and the Mushroom taco from the vegan section. Mom LOVED the tacos. The flavors vibed delectably. The Black Tide was fresh, firey, the mango and apple with the shrimp was diced to perfection. The vegan tacos were amazingly delicious. The Hibiscus was dipped in the dark sauce. WOW!!! The blue tortilla was a bonus. It was so romantically blended. There is something about Hibiscus ?. The mushroom taco blended perfectly with the dark sauce. The limonade was just right. What a spectacular lunch. See you next time.“

“I've been wanting to try this for a while as I've been to their Los Angeles location and was really satisfied with the food there. I went to happy hour with my brother and cousin and we ordered an assortment of tacos and drinks. While everything was fantastic, standouts include the Lobster Taco and the Dos Gringas. They also dropped a basket of nacho chips with a dip that was great. The service was also amazing, very attentive waitstaff was nice. We had requested some ingredients to be put on the side and they were very accommodating. Definitely want to go back and try some dinner items as well as their desserts.“

“One of my favorite bars in Little Tokyo. I think this bar has the best prices, especially during their happy hour. The bartenders are incredibly friendly and chatty, in a good way. I personally love nautical themed bars. They are less common than tiki bars, but can be similarly fun. The Mermaid is a great place for a dive bar date, a small group of friends, or even going solo, because the vibe inside is very comfortable drinking by yourself. I believe there is an back patio, but I never went there. The front of the bar is in a small strip mall that you'd never suspect a place like this being in. And since it's downtown LA, parking will either be difficult to find, pricey, or both.“

“Our group of six stopped by at Far Bar after a Dodgers day game. We sat right in the middle of the bar and were promptly served water and offered drinks and food. We remained at FB for several hours and sampled their tots, chicken wings, fries, pot stickers, and sliders. All the food was quite tasty, but their wings were stand out. I had a Moscow mule, which was refreshing, tart, and gingery witout being overly sweet. My friend raved over the Gold Rush cocktail and others agreed their drinks were well-made. The servers were on point and friendly, and made sure we had water during the entire time we were there. A nice spot to enjoy a good cocktail.“

“This was our first time eating at Tao's. We were very surprised that the brunch menu was very small but we made our choices and loved the food. We had the French toast bits and the fruit filled French toast. Both so yummy! The chorizo breakfast tostado plate was also very good. Portions are big and we all shared. Our only wish would have been to have salad options. The regular menu has some very interesting salads on it but these were not offered on the brunch menu. Service was EXCELLENT! Our waiter checked on us regularly and brought refills of coffee, Coke, and water. There was a full bar, too.“
