“One of my favorite patio bars in dtla! If you are a wine lover this little gem is for you! They have a large assortment of specialty all natural wines that you can enjoy there and purchase bottles to go. The crafted farm to table food menu is delicious! They also have wine events from time to time where the wine makers come in and do tastings. The music is dope, vibe is friendly and chill… it’s just good, clean fun!! :))“

“There wasn't much on the menu that appealed to me, but I got the lomo saltado taco. The meat was the tenderest meat I had ever had in my life. Everything was perfectly seasoned. It was so good I ordered another. So, that was $20. The beer selection is underwhelming.It wasn't a bad time, just not my scene. I'll go back if someone else pays.“

Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“

Unfortunately the Pinot Gris we wanted was no longer available but I thoroughly enjoyed the Grenache. We ordered the ricotta and bread appetizer, Caesar salad, pork tagliatelle and soppressata and honey pizza. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We finished with the chocolate budino tart. It was yummy but I wish we ordered something else. It didn't feel totally unique. Service was spot on and moved quickly. Would definitely go back!“

The menu that they had was also different than what we saw online, they might have a rotating menu.We opted for non alcoholic drinks and sparkling water. I loved the hibiscus limenade, but the strawberry lemonade was a touch too sour. Sparkling water I could’ve done without.Stand out dishes for me were the carrot tacos (best carrots I’ve ever had), the focaccia bread, and the fries. Whatever aioli they had for the fries was something I would keep going back for. On top of that, they gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate! I think it was their dulce de leche cake w/ ice cream and bananas. So good and so very thoughtful and attentive of the staff!Dishes I wouldn’t recommend - the Mac and cheese. The flavors vibed delectably. The Black Tide was fresh, firey, the mango and apple with the shrimp was diced to perfection. The vegan tacos were amazingly delicious. The Hibiscus was dipped in the dark sauce. WOW!!! The blue tortilla was a bonus. It was so romantically blended. There is something about Hibiscus ?.
