“Insanely good bread. I stopped here randomly on my way to clinic. Definitely the most expensive pastrami sandwich I ever had but it was very very good. The meat was fantastic, not too salty and not that fatty. The bread is fresh out of the oven and melts in your mouth after a gentle crunch. No squeezing out of toppings. They know sandwiches. Too expensive to return but boy was it satisfying.“

She recommended Rocko's for dessert and I couldn't pass up on trying an ice cream taco! Right when I stepped in, I knew this was a popular spot. Artsy paintings, a neighborhood vibe, and happy customers rolling in and out are what you'll find. There's limited bar stool seating inside but most take it to-go. Lines can be long or short, but turnaround is fast. They have desserts for all--dairy, vegan, and gluten-free options galore! You're able to build your sweet treat or get one of their signatures. I chose to enjoy a Tiny Ice Cream Taco, my flavor of choice being the Vegan Matcha Oreo. For toppings, I had Dark Chocolate and Sprinkles. The tiny was the perfect size and it can get quite messy! The matcha was prevalent and not too sweet while the taco had a nice crunch to it. My friend enjoyed her Tiny Ice Cream Taco as well! For those craving ice cream and a unique way to eat it, I recommend Rocko's Ice Cream Tacos! Find them easily off Park Ave. with street parking.“

We go here at least a few times a month, if not every week.Their chutoro roll is the best value and price in the area and their bowls offer quite a few choices and have always been fresh for us. Their topping selection is always fun to choose from also!They are very serious about allergies and will open new containers for those who have celiac and other allergies if you let them know what you have.I also love how they have a point system where if you order 10 bowls, you can get a free one.“

My parents are elderly and they asked to change our table several times for various reasons and Angelina was so patient and friendly and she made sure we got a table that both my parents were comfortable with. Then we got even luckier because Javier was our server and he was super friendly, professional, and nice. “Very delicious food. Atmosphere was great, the place felt nice, almost formal, and the service was attentive. They serve you green tea in addition to any drink you want, which was a nice touch. Be aware that the meals seem to be eaten family style, as there is a lot of food for what you pay for. The orange beef and prawn chow mein plus meat dumplings was enough for a small family. It was very delicious, I will definitely be returning!“

“Small cute, hood service. I had the sashimi special. It was very good. Fresh buttery selection by the chef . Ordered the veggie tempura. Didn't like the breading or the dipping sauce: veggie selection was good. Miso soup was ok but 3 very small squares of tofu. I prefer a more robust recipe. Ordered a very nice orange roll to go. Again salmon was yummy. Price seemed ok for lunch. Since I enjoyed the roll/ sashimi I will visit again.“

“Pizza was ok. Not my favorite style, I prefer New York style pizza with thinner crust and better undercarriage. We tried the butter chicken pizza as well. While butter chicken is my favorite Indian dish, this had no flavors that tasted like butter chicken to me. It definitely had Indian flavors but I wouldn't call it butter chicken.“

“This is your mom and pa store, serving good honest American Chinese food. If you are looking for some authentic Chinese food, you should keep looking. But if you are a fan of Panda Express, this place beat Panda by a mile. First of all, the service is great. The lady at the counter (owner) helped me picking out the dishes for lunch when I couldn't decide what to order. She also told me the history of this place while I wait for my orders to be ready. Second, the price is un-real in 2024. When I first read the menu, I was like, is this an old menu from years ago? All the dishes cost maybe 2/3 of what the going rate at other restaurants. I asked the lady about the price and she assured me that is the right price, LOL. Now comes to the food. To be honest, I was skeptical about the food with this cheap price. I quickly got home to try them, they were pretty good. The salt and pepper fish was still crunchy and tasted great, broccoli beef was also good. The Singapore Fried rice noodle is a bit plain but nothing a bit of spicy sauce couldn't fix. Last but not the least the Young Chow fried rice is also good. Like I said, if you like American Chinese food, this is the place. It's cheap, fast and friendly. I sure will come back to try other dishes on their menu.“

Their dishes have the right flavor and is not overly salty like at different soft tofu shops. The seafood pancake is also perfectly made with the right crunch on the outside and is not soggy. Their appetizer side dishes are also tasty, filling and can be refilled. Love the fish cake!They accommodate dietary restrictions and I usually order the vegetarian / seafood broth as the broth usually is made with meat.This location out of their Palo Alto, Milpitas, and South San Jose locations is the original and the best.“

“I’ve lived in the neighborhood for about 4 years and took way too long to finally try Annie’s! I was immediately greeted by nice ladies and ordered and served very quickly at 1pm on a weekday. I got a grilled pork Banh Mi & a thai iced tea. Can’t wait to come back and try more items!“

“My hubby and I catered Beastea boba drinks for our wedding, and it was an instant hit! All of our guests loved them. We love coming here every time we're in the area for the delicious drinks and now snacks. The owner, Joy, is incredibly hospitable and you can tell she puts so much passion into her craft. The milk teas are on point and flavorful, spring rolls are authentic, and the fries are so crispy and delicious.“

“The spicy edamame garlic was a but of a disappointment, not spicy and very sticky. The spicy chicken karage was not your typical crunchy chicken, the texture was more like a chicken's general type of meal. Everything else was pretty good including the 49ers roll. We were able to sit instantly, no wait on a Friday night. The waitress really did rush us through the meal though.“

“This is a reallly wholesome, family-run Indian vegetarian restaurant. For $18, they have a very tasty all you can eat buffet. They bring to your table some fresh made chapati too. There is a delicious lemon pudding for dessert and also always fresh fruit. If you want some good home cooking, this is the place.“

“This place was so authentic and hasn't changed in 20 years. I got started with the meat lovers pizza like I always do. I got a small and it was $26 so it is not cheap. The pizza was amazing. The crust was perfect and crispy and had a lot olive oil on it. All of the meats were cooked to perfection. The cheese was cooked perfectly and the cheese pull was immaculate. I got a little excited and took a slice before taking the picture . The service was really good as the staff was really nice and helpful. They came out with the food really fast. The ambiance is also really amazing it's like a Time Machine. Overall loved the place and definitely would reccomend for others.“

“Always dine in there. The dim sum is so authentic and, very important to me, handmade. (I personally dislike machine-made dumplings from supermarkets because they are too soft instead of chewy.) The ratio of vegetables versus meat in each dumpling is very reasonable and I’d like to learn their recipe.Besides their dim sum, I also like the cumin lamb, Hunan Spicy Pork, Salt & Pepper chicken wings, Fish Filet in Hot Chili Sauce and Seafood Spicy Hot Pot. I usually don’t eat too spicy food but these are totally acceptable and tasty. My friend sometimes adds remarks such as “light oil,” “less salt” and so forth. The chefs will cook accordingly.“

Food came out fairly fast, even with a queue of to go orders. 12-130PM on a Sunday was very busy - all tables full, a number of families with small children. Quality and portions were good, like any other Mendo. Staff behind the counter were helpful if you needed something like silverware or to go containers. Two not so good things: * It's really loud inside. Combination of music being played plus concrete floors and floor to ceiling glass windows so all the sound bounces. I think most Mendo's are like this but this location is smaller than the others I've been to so it seems even louder. When it's warmer I would sit outside but I went on a chilly, wet day and preferred inside. * Bathroom floor was a bit wet. Usually wouldn't matter much to me but being on crutches or if you have people uneasy on their feet, could be unsafe in there.“

We ordered Zucchini sticks, French fries, Cheeseburger with bacon, Rib eye sandwich and the Chicken salad. Food is made to order and was at our table within 5 or 6 minutes. Everything was delicious. Next time, I am trying the Hotter Than Ever Deluxe Pizza! There is no doubt we will be back!“
