I went to Panera Bread after the lunch crowd and ordered soup and salad, it took over 20 minutes to get my order,other people who arrived after me where getting their food, when I got my order the soup was cold, because it took so long to get my order I went to the front and complainted about how long it took, but they didn't care, will not be going back

I love Panera, I visit my local spot in Lakeland, Fl on a regular basis. The location mention is important because a little over an hour ago, I received 2 notifications on my phone from PayPal and Panera that an almost $72 order was placed at the Baywood Lane Santa Clarita location.... I looked up the phone number, called the restaurant, told them it WASN'T ME. I talked to a manager, asked him what he could do? Call the police? They were on their way to pick up their salads with all the extra meats. He said the order was still being prepared and that he was going to cancel the order. I mentioned calling the police, he said he had to call his DM and would call me back. We hung up, I gave it 30 minutes with no response...and called them back. He didn't even get on the phone to let me know, let someone else call me....the DM told him to go ahead and let the people have their food and I'd have to file a fraudulent charge through PayPal. Cool. Ok so I 100 PERCENT understand worrying about a confrontation from the salad thieves coming in for their extra meats salads, but....you're gonna have to pay that chargeback anyway, so why not just cancel that transaction or refund me..so I could get my money back tomorrowish, vs 10 days from now after I have to wait for the transaction to clear from pending, THEN file a claim, let PP do their investigation....and get my money in 10 to 14 days? This was handled pretty poorly... I know there is a protocall...but..again..handled poorly. Manager should have called me back. I was told one thing, something else happened. I will say, I'm happy the extra meats salad thieves didn't use my free bagel rewards I was saving for this weekend. I hope they choke on the chicken.
