“This place deserves a higher star rating overall. The service was impeccable. I asked a lot of questions and got the right answers. Normally, I don't order much fried food, but I couldn't resist tempura fried veggies with peanut sauce. It was delicious and there was plenty. There were plenty of vegan options on the menu, which I really appreciated. They gave me a vegan dessert, which I got for take out... totally delicious!Vegetarian options: Lots of clearly marked vegan selections!“

“I ordered a traditional breakfast and it was tasty. I loved the wheat toast - probably my favorite thing on my plate. With the high reviews I was expecting more of a wow experience but that didn’t happen. I would go back if I am in the area again.“

“we were waiting for our food for kind of a while, and half of our party's food came out a whole 15 minutes before everyone else's. however, they gave us a discount as an apology for the wait, and when the food did come out, it was actually quite good. nice, comfy vibe inside too.“

“This is our favorite place in Tahoe! We tried it a year ago and had to come back all the way from Houston just for these empanadas!! The food is amazing and Martin is so wonderful, he makes us feel like old friends. The entire restaurant is so cozy and inviting. This is always a must stop when we visit Tahoe!“

“We ordered a large pizza with half Mediterranean and half Best Camp toppings, and both were absolutely delicious! The Mediterranean was my personal favorite. The service and atmosphere were fantastic as well, despite the 45-minute wait for a table, it was definitely worth it.“

“We have been visiting Lake Tahoe at least once a year for the past 14 years and we have breakfast or brunch at the Gateway Cafe every day. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is very friendly. One of my favorites dishes is the Cream of Mushroom special.“
“We loved this chic and friendly brewery. We were killing some time before dinner and decided to chill out here after a long day of skiing. We got there before happy hour really started. Folks were starting to trickle in so we grabbed some seats and tried their local brews. We started out with him getting the Hazy IPA and I got the Lakeview Blond. I loved it and he loved his. Next thing we know, we called the restaurant and canceled our reservation because the food here smelled so good. We caved. I had the tomato basil soup and an order of pretzels and he had the Reuben. We were SO pleased. The beer pretzel and soup combo was often. I didn't like the cheese dip - sort of tasted like chicken and not enough cheese and the mustard was seed mustard. Wish they had a nice German mustard but starving skiers are not really all that picky. My stomach said "Shut up" to my brain and my hands were on automatic tearing up those beautiful pretzels and dipping them into my soup. I'm drooling now just thinking about it. Last but not least, our server was like family. So friendly, welcoming, polite, thorough, responsive and easy on the eyes (Argentinian). By the time I left, I was ready to adopt him! So sweet to us. Thanks for a great meal after a fantastic day of spring skiing.“

“6 of us had a superb meal. The server was attentive, but forgot to mention the rolls had powdered garlic after I had told him I had a intolerance of Powdered and dried garlic.. I ordered the Lobster ravioli, which was an appetizer, for my dinner and a dinner sized portion was served. It was delicious and I devoured the whole dinner. Will come again when we are in the are.“

“Visited on a Monday morning. The hostess had an attitude going; definitely not the kind of person I'd put at the front of my restaurant.Fortunately, it was uphill from there. Our server was attentive and he made sure we had what we needed. Food was good, portions were generous, and the kitchen accommodated a request we had. Restaurant is large, clean, and has a fun ambiance.“

“Hands down, off the hook is our favorite local gem! The happy hour deals are unbeatable, offering a delightful array of fresh and delicious sushi at great prices. What truly sets this place apart is their commitment to accommodating dietary needs - their gluten-free options are fantastic! As someone with dietary restrictions, it's refreshing to find a sushi spot that caters so well to various preferences. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is welcoming and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or exploring gluten-free options, off the hook is the place to be for a satisfying and memorable dining experience!“

“We stopped there to pick up sandwiches on our way to a hike in lake tahoe area. They were very warm and welcoming. We had veggie burger, grilled veggie sandwiche and one Reuben. Everything turned out to be good. Although fries were not great but it might be because we had it after a while and they were cold by that time.Full points to staff for the services. Also very ince decoration.“

“We were looking for options to grab a quick bite to eat on the way to Sierra-at-Tahoe and Tahoe Bagel came up on Yelp. It was close to where we were staying and in the direction we were traveling so we decided to give it a try based on the reviews. The place was filled but the line moved quickly. The wait for the food took longer but understandably so. I had a toasted sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese and it was excellent. Although we didn't have sandwiches on this visit, we liked that they were cooking up the ingredients on a flat top...much different than, say, a Noah's Bagels where everything is pre-made and then microwaved. Will definitely consider on future visits to South Lake Tahoe.“

“Nice spot for lunch with a beer or cocktail. Great staff and the owner actively walks around the restaurant checking on her guests. She closed the blinds for us because she saw the sun shining in our eyes. The food was good, and the drinks were delicious. It's worth a visit in your in SLT.“

“Friendly staff! Everything we have tried has been excellent! As locals living in a tourist town it is hard to find places we like, that is not outrageously expensive or over crowded. Still slightly pricey, but we get it for the quality of food. Cheers to your cooks!“

To finish it off we got a tiramisu to share which was also very tasty! Definitely recommend this place the customer service was great very attentive the food was delicious price wise it was a bit pricey not to much but completely worth it ! “We had a 745pm reservation on a Friday night. We arrived a bit early and our table was not yet ready and since the place is really small we had to wait outside and the heater was out of gas so we were out in the cold (it was raining and was 39°F) for about 10 minutes. We were asked if we wanted bread - garlic bread or another option - we ordered the garlic bread which was good when it came out warm and fresh, however, got cold easily. I do not think it is worth $10. We ordered the soft-shelled crab for our appetizer and it was amazing ! I ordered the Linguine Fra Diavolo - it had adequate amount of seafood in it, the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente and had great flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Bistecca alla Veneziana - it was a huge portion as it came with 2 steaks. The filet mignon was cooked as ordered (medium rare), however, they were not that tender but still okay. We Got the pear for dessert and this was very delicious! Servers that night, Ed and Jennifer, were nice and friendly Price is reasonable considering the size of the portions. Please note that the bill does not show an itemized list of the order - it has several lines of just prices. The place has 6 tables so make sure you call to make reservations - there is no option of doing online reservation. There is a parking lot. We will definitely return to this place the next time we visit South Lake Tahoe.“

“So satisfied with our time here. We were approached and seated immediately. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious and brought out quickly after being seated. Food was served pretty fast and was SO GOOD! Prices are fair for the portions and *especially* for the taste. Our server, Andy, was very pleasant. The horchata was delicious - no refill but it was in a huge glass so I'm not complaining.“

“Naked Fish in Lake Tahoe has garnered quite the reputation, but my experience was somewhat underwhelming. While the sushi is decent, it doesn't quite live up to the hype. The main downside is the long waits, coupled with the fact that the place is quite tiny, which can make for a cramped dining experience. If you're willing to wait and don't mind the cozy atmosphere, it's worth a visit, but don't expect anything mind-blowing.“

“A hidden Gem ... the food is great and piping Hot when it is served. The dinner portions are big, for lunch they give you soup & egg roll, along with the entree you choose. You have an option to choose rice or chow mein with your entree. Lunch portions are also generous.“

“We booked Flour Girl Wedding Cakes in October 2022 for our January 2024 Tahoe wedding! The most important thing to my husband was that our wedding cake actually taste GOOD- and Flour Girl waaaay more than exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and a culinary masterpiece, and we had so much fun doing a wedding cake tasting and choosing all of our favorite flavors! We ended up doing a different combination of cake and icing and filling for each of our three tiers, then had several smaller half/quarter sheet cakes available to serve to wedding guests to make sure we had enough food for everyone. The cake was incredible, and whatever didn't get consumed by guests the night of our wedding was immediately finished at our morning after brunch the next day! They were so great to work with, delivered our cakes on time the morning of our wedding all the way to Tahoe City on a snowy winter weekend, and created a masterpiece of a wedding cake that was exactly what I had imagined. Thank you Flour Girl!!“

“We stayed within walking distance during a stay in South Lake Tahoe. I went every morning for coffee and breakfast! The golden milk latte was great. The avocado toast is something I will be trying to recreate at home because it was that good. This space is inside of the hotel and was pretty easy to find.“

“Nice little Gem in SLT. Great pasta and sauce, handmade pasta takes the dish to another level and is worth the price point. Was confused by the name but hey, I'm no restaurateur. Lots of room for kids/wheelchairs/strollers. In a nice little shopping center with other options as well.“

“We stayed in an indie king room with the bunk beds. The location can't be beat and the food (breakfast, beer garden) is quite good compared to other offerings in the area and convenient. The restaurants our particular weekend all filled up early. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and s'mores firepit. There was a wedding one night, but the hotel shut it down right at 10pm so it was quiet, and we were on the side directly above the beer garden. Biggest downsides is the walls are thin (the lady next door fell asleep with the tv on) and the heater is very loud / or not that strong. But we were there in fall so maybe it's stronger in the winter.“

“Didn't take pics of the food or bowls. Darn! This place is so good though. It's like a hidden gem. The burrito is so good and the salsa that comes with it is delicious. The açaí bowls + smoothies are so bomb as well. Yes I tired all those three items when coming here. My husband got the bowl and I got the burrito and smoothie. Will definitely be coming back when visiting Tahoe again! I recommend this place for anyone that wants something light for breakfast, the wait is a bit like 5-7 mins at lest and more time if there is a decent amount of people there.“

“Excellent Thai restaurant in South Lake Tahoe! Right when you walk in you notice the Thai-inspired ambiance that gets you excited for the meal ahead. Food Rundown: Hangover Udon with Pork - Pretty epic mix of flavors and a very hearty portion. Chicken Pad Thai: Classic sweet flavor, feel free to ask for it a little spicier to offset the sweetness. Panang Curry with Brown Rice: My favorite dish of the three. Deep curry flavor that we couldn't get enough of. Pro Tip: Ask you server for additional sauces to get a sampling of pickled jalapeño, peppers, and other way to add some kick your dish. My only critique is that the 4 person table my group sat at was a little too snug so try to size up on the table if you can.“

“Nice place, we were well taken care of. We ordered the vegetarian burrito and the vegan sandwich. They have vegan cheese and beyond meat so it would be nice if there was a sandwich and a burrito that was completely vegan on the menu. The only vegan option at the moment is the vegetable sandwich (in the photo) which is tasty but not enough for those who are hungry. My suggestion is keep the vegetable sandwich on the menu but add some vegan options using cheese and vegan meat“

“We just came from a St. Patrick's dinner at St. Theresa's in Tahoe. The dinner was wonderful but the desserts were off the hook. I don't even know how they made the rainbow cupcakes.Apparently the owner runs the shop out of her house. If I ever need a cake made in Tahoe I know where I'm going.“

“Got a very large carnitas burrito and soft drink for about 12.99$ , which is inexpensive for being on Lake Tahoe Blvd. Food was good, authentic Mexican style. Plus, their restroom, although outside and quite cold, was immaculately clean. If u want simple and low priced Mexican food near South Lake Tahoe. I would recommend.“

“Stellar service with delicious ice cream! My husband and I had just had a bad experience trying to get some simple ice cream cones for our kids, down the road from here.We should have come to Aloha from the get-go.Ordering was quick and easy, the server was a nice, respectable lady and the ice cream was delicious! The kids got kid-sized vanilla ice cream in cups (which were actually kid-sized; not the humongous sugar bombs you get at most places) and hubby got a large container with 3 (generous) scoops which we shared. The rocky road flavour was to die for! The walnuts were waaaaay fresher than most nuts I get at the supermarket and the chocolate and vanilla flavours were excellent and fresh too.We will come here again. Thank you Aloha!“

“A Heavenly Village gem, The Loft is an intimate and vibey spot for dinner and drinks (which were both fantastic). My fiancé and I popped in to see the magic show featuring legendary magicians, Jinger and Kalin. The show was incredibly impressive and both appropriate and entertaining for young and adult audiences. The theatre layout is perfect for up-close magic and makes the crowd really feel involved in the show. The Loft regularly hosts top tier talent, including Murray the Magician, who we’ve previously seen perform—stellar tricks and comedic timing.
