“Note: The sign at the front says Jalisco Taqueria, but I was told it is the same. Had the pozole and two tacos(al pastor, carnitas). The tacos were great. They give you a side of onions, radishes, and lime. Most places I've been before also give you cilantro, but not here. The pozole was not spicy, but they gave me some hot sauce to add, smoky chipotle, I think. Once I added it, it was spicy enough for me. It had a LOT of meat. The bowl wasn't as big as in other places, but for the price, I think it was reasonable. I would recommend this place, as long as you are not expecting a fancy place. BTW, it's now open on Mondays, too.“

“we were waiting for our food for kind of a while, and half of our party's food came out a whole 15 minutes before everyone else's. however, they gave us a discount as an apology for the wait, and when the food did come out, it was actually quite good. nice, comfy vibe inside too.“

“This is our favorite place in Tahoe! We tried it a year ago and had to come back all the way from Houston just for these empanadas!! The food is amazing and Martin is so wonderful, he makes us feel like old friends. The entire restaurant is so cozy and inviting. This is always a must stop when we visit Tahoe!“

I ordered the Lobster ravioli, which was an appetizer, for my dinner and a dinner sized portion was served. It was delicious and I devoured the whole dinner. Will come again when we are in the are.“

“Visited on a Monday morning. The hostess had an attitude going; definitely not the kind of person I'd put at the front of my restaurant.Fortunately, it was uphill from there. Our server was attentive and he made sure we had what we needed. Food was good, portions were generous, and the kitchen accommodated a request we had. Restaurant is large, clean, and has a fun ambiance.“

What truly sets this place apart is their commitment to accommodating dietary needs - their gluten-free options are fantastic! As someone with dietary restrictions, it's refreshing to find a sushi spot that caters so well to various preferences. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is welcoming and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or exploring gluten-free options, off the hook is the place to be for a satisfying and memorable dining experience!“

“Such an amazing place! A lot of people when we went (means it's popular) but seated quickly. People are fantastic! You don't just get one person helping you, they just bounce around helping everyone. Really cool! Food was really good. I got the Mac N Cheese (they allow you to add pizza toppings if you want!) Fun atmosphere!“

“GREAT little bakery! The lines were always long which only shows to prove how great they are! The staff were all super nice and efficient. We waited about 10 mins to order and about 5 minutes for the food and drink. I ordered the iced mocha and it was so creamy and yummy. I also got the bagel breakfast sandwich which comes with egg, bacon, and cream cheese spread. I got the sea salt bagel and I feel like the salty of the bagel mixed with the sweet of the cream cheese was perfect! Chef kiss. I also love have they have tons of gluten free options and several drink adaptations that can be made (almond milk, coconut milk, etc...). Overall it was great and you're bound to find something that works for you !“

“I came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday and had a wonderful dinner. The restaurant is on the smaller side but the food was exquisite. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a gathering of close friends. It's nice to have conversation in a restaurant and be able to hear everyone. All the dished we ordered came out beautifully presented and tasted so good. Definitely my new favorite restaurant in tahoe!“

“We stopped there to pick up sandwiches on our way to a hike in lake tahoe area. They were very warm and welcoming. We had veggie burger, grilled veggie sandwiche and one Reuben. Everything turned out to be good. Although fries were not great but it might be because we had it after a while and they were cold by that time.Full points to staff for the services. Also very ince decoration.“

“Nice spot for lunch with a beer or cocktail. Great staff and the owner actively walks around the restaurant checking on her guests. She closed the blinds for us because she saw the sun shining in our eyes. The food was good, and the drinks were delicious. It's worth a visit in your in SLT.“

“Friendly staff! Everything we have tried has been excellent! As locals living in a tourist town it is hard to find places we like, that is not outrageously expensive or over crowded. Still slightly pricey, but we get it for the quality of food. Cheers to your cooks!“

“Delicious place to stop for après ski. We had the mini pretzel, the sausage plate and a peaches and cream strudel for dessert. All were tasty choices and we were glad to enjoy them after a day on the slopes. The servers were friendly and the decor was as if you were in the mountains of Germany.“

To finish it off we got a tiramisu to share which was also very tasty! “Very friendly customer service, and not to mention dog friendly, which we love. The beer is excellent and the brew master was very polite with us. I wish I had a chance to buy stickers of the brewery as I am a collector, but it just means I will have to come back to this brewery And say hello again. Highly recommend this place.“

“So satisfied with our time here. We were approached and seated immediately. Complimentary chips and salsa were delicious and brought out quickly after being seated. Food was served pretty fast and was SO GOOD! Prices are fair for the portions and *especially* for the taste. Our server, Andy, was very pleasant. The horchata was delicious - no refill but it was in a huge glass so I'm not complaining.“

“Service is exceptional. Atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. Breakfast on Saturday morning. “Naked Fish in Lake Tahoe has garnered quite the reputation, but my experience was somewhat underwhelming. While the sushi is decent, it doesn't quite live up to the hype. The main downside is the long waits, coupled with the fact that the place is quite tiny, which can make for a cramped dining experience. If you're willing to wait and don't mind the cozy atmosphere, it's worth a visit, but don't expect anything mind-blowing.“

“A hidden Gem ... the food is great and piping Hot when it is served. The dinner portions are big, for lunch they give you soup & egg roll, along with the entree you choose. You have an option to choose rice or chow mein with your entree. Lunch portions are also generous.“
“My husband and I took a day trip to Lake Tahoe and we happened upon South Lake Brewing Company. I like the chill and modern vibe of this place, with lots of natural light inside. They had a good selection of beer and 1 seltzer at the time. I’m giving this place 4 stars because I thought the service of the bartenders was a little lacking and I strongly disliked the seltzer I got but, it is a brewery and I felt their beers were pretty good. If you like beer, I would stop by and check this place out!“

We had the Ricotta Gnudi -- amazing!!!; mussels -- great quality, quantity & tasty broth with grilled bread; Caesar salad; octopus and scallops. “Great place to chill after a day on the mountain. Came here last year as well and will every time I visit. The area outside is really nice with fires, live music, and people watching. Food is great- had the Californian (delicious) with a side salad (good portion) and the hot Toddy (warm & yummy). Also close to Heavenly square and tons of shops/ things to do. Park at Safeway.“

“We stayed in an indie king room with the bunk beds. The location can't be beat and the food (breakfast, beer garden) is quite good compared to other offerings in the area and convenient. The restaurants our particular weekend all filled up early. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and s'mores firepit. There was a wedding one night, but the hotel shut it down right at 10pm so it was quiet, and we were on the side directly above the beer garden. Biggest downsides is the walls are thin (the lady next door fell asleep with the tv on) and the heater is very loud / or not that strong. But we were there in fall so maybe it's stronger in the winter.“

“Got a very large carnitas burrito and soft drink for about 12.99$ , which is inexpensive for being on Lake Tahoe Blvd. Food was good, authentic Mexican style. Plus, their restroom, although outside and quite cold, was immaculately clean. If u want simple and low priced Mexican food near South Lake Tahoe. I would recommend.“

“They make some good sandwiches! You can't go wrong ordering anything here. The service is also amazing, and the people who work there are very kind and have a good energy. “At 4PM, we couldn't find a better option than this. The cafe had limited seating, but it was sufficient for our group. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions of our orders, which were being prepared while we placed them. To start, we had nachos with various salsas to sample. The nachos and salsas were fresh, although we had expected the salsas to have a more salsa-like consistency rather than being like sauce or paste. Nonetheless, they were still enjoyable. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Chile Relleno. It had the perfect combination of flavors, pleasing everyone at the table so much that we ordered another plate. The seasonal veggie burrito bowl was also quite good. We were initially skeptical about the Chicken Chimichanga burrito since it was deep-fried, but it turned out to be surprisingly good, not greasy at all. However, it could have benefited from more sauce. We also tried a veggie taco and a fish taco. The veggie taco was loaded with toppings and had a delicious taste. Unfortunately, the fish taco was disappointing as it tasted mostly like deep-fried batter with no distinct fish flavor. Recommend skipping the fish taco. Aside from that, our experience at the restaurant was definitely five-star. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will certainly remember the Chile Relleno. We may even return specifically for that dish.“

“Back again! My husband loved this place so much when I brought him in a week ago that we drove back up from Sacramento again. He absolutely loves the gnocchi. The dense pasta with the flavorful sauce is a favorite of his. I tried the Greek burger which became the best burger I have had. It was cooked medium and came out perfect! It's lamb with grilled onions, feta cheese and a garlic mint aioli which pairs so nicely with the lamb. Such a good burger and accompanied by the fries was the perfect lunch! I was excited to learn that they have another location on the lake that we'll have to try on our next trip! Alex was fantastic and the food was amazing as always!“

“We ordered 1/2 chicken plate, pork plate, and beef burrito. The chicken was delicious, the chicken breast was flavory and very juicy! At first we thought the chicken was undercooked cause the meat was a bit pink, but the staff told us it is normal for smoked meat. The pork was not bad, soft and fully flavored. The chili on the side has a sweet and sour flavor i liked it a lot! Unfortunately, the burrito was not as ”hearty“ as it was written on the menu, overall it‘s okay.It is a bit cold in the store, and we were the only customer when we got there around 5pm. Would come back again if revisit south lake tahoe.“

“If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine in an unexpected setting, look no further than Curry & Grill, tucked away in a convenience store. This hidden gem truly delivers on flavor and quality. I recently tried their naan and butter chicken, and I was blown away by the freshness and taste of both dishes. The naan was fluffy and perfectly baked, while the butter chicken had a rich and flavorful sauce that left me wanting more. If you're in the mood for Indian food with a twist, don't hesitate to give this place a try. You won't be disappointed!“

“Had a great experience at this place. Got a salad but wasn't a fan on the chicken on top (just my personal preference). They exchanged it for a pizza. Lesson learned, don't get salad at a pizza joint ?. They were understanding. Tht fireplace outside was great for kids. And large area for kids to play. They also have another cocktail bar next door that was amazing.“

“I promised the guy working here named Peppe (hope I spelled that right, sorry if I didn't Peppe, and sorry this review is a little late; was there last week) that I would leave a review. I want to say that Peppe was spot on. He really seems to love his job, and was super excited to serve us and tell us a little about Blue Dog Pizza (was in Lake Tahoe for business, so this was my first time here). A big thumbs up to Peppe! As far as the pizza is concerned, I loved the cheese, and the sauce. Fantastic. The only complaint I have would be the amount of toppings (had all the meat toppings, along with bell pepper/onions/tomatoes) that was placed on the pizza. In my opinion there was not enough to justify the cost of the pizza (I got a large that was $30.00). There was some of each topping, but not a lot. I took it back to my hotel that had a kitchen in it and added more sausage, ham, onions, etc. It was good, don't get me wrong, but for $30 I want the pizza loaded down with toppings. The only other part I didn't really care for was how the bell pepper and onion are cut. They are not diced, but rather cut in long pieces. Just a preference, as I'm sure a lot of people like theirs cut in long pieces. Would I purchase this again if I were to go back, probably not due to the lower amount of toppings on it. Was it good, absolutely. Did Peppe do a great job, absolutely! He was the main reason I decided to give it a try.“

“I can’t recommend this place enough. Absolutely delicious food, excellent prices, and outstanding service. This is our family spot for Mexican food, we got the carne asada tacos, and chili verde burrito. Both were cooked, and prepared perfectly. They have a salsa for every taste as well. Edit: we had carnitas tacos and a carne asada torta, everything was outstanding. You know a place is good when you’re planning your next meal before you finish your current one.“
