“Pictured are the Tokyo Rich Tsukemen and the Smoked Dashi Ramen. The Tokyo Rich Tsukemen carried my experience here at Tonchin LA. I came here solely for the noodles made in collaboration with Keizo Shimamoto from Shimamoto Noodle Inc. They are really the star of the bowl. The tonkotsu gyokai broth was alright, but overall, this was one of the better tsukemen you can find in Socal imo.The Smoked Dashi Ramen, on the other hand, was quite weird. It starts off fine but the longer you take to eat it, the fishier the broth will get so get ready to slurp fast ?“

“Went to Ramen Nagi the other day and honestly not my favorite. Service was great and the food came out super fast but personally the flavors weren't there for me. I had a spicy level 2 and it was a hint of spice, I probably would've been fine w a 4 since I'm not that great w spicy stuff. The pork belly meat was just ok in my perspective. I had ordered the Black king and did both chashu and pork belly, I think there was a tiny bit of a sweet flavor to it vs savory but idk maybe that was just me, or maybe the black garlic. The restaurant is cute and small on the inside and everyone was super nice and helpful but not somewhere that I personally would return to given so many amazing ramen spots in LA but I mean if I hadn't tried it before I would still try it for the first time again we also had the gyoza which was yummy.“

“YOOO, this place is BOMB!! I got the Curry Ramen with Egg and I couldn’t believe how good it was. GREAT curry broth - well-spiced but not spicy. Nice noodles and meat too. Wish it had a bit more meat though. I’m from Hawai’i and grew up on Japanese Curry and Ramen. It really tasted like home. They were playing some good reggae music when we were there, so it sounded like home too.Went here because the other ramen place we wanted to go to down the street was an hour wait. So glad we did! We (party of 3) were seated right away on a Saturday night. We sat outside in the covered area. It was a cold night out but their heaters were so good that I took off my jacket and was wearing a short sleeve shirt. Nice waiters - did a great job at checking on us in case we needed anything. DEFINITELY coming back the next time I’m in the area. Will be bringing more friends along too.Parking: Parking sucks at night on the weekend, but that’s common in this area. I got free street parking as I parked after the time you have to pay. I wanna say past 8?“

“Tsujita La Artisan Noodle Annex is the best Dipping Ramen ( Tsukemen ) in LA , closest noodles I’ve felt in Japan. Here the noodles are thick and springy, they kept separate from garlicky and flavorful broth to maintain the chewable. It’s perfect for me!“

“Ramen so good I forgot to take pictures! We found this little gem while staying at an AirBNB in Studio City. The menu was varied and we found something for everyone in our party, including the picky little guy. This was honestly some of the best ramen we've had anywhere (we were on vacation) and I have recommended it to others traveling to area. The service was super friendly as well.“

“This place is great! I really enjoyed their spicy seafood ramen and their crispy squid. The soup is very flavorful and has a very strong lemongrass taste, which I love. The squid is super crispy and savory. The service was friendly and so fast. The server offered suggestions and checked on us regularly. It's a small spot, but does feel crowded. They also have a large parking lot, shared with the supermarket next door.“

“Kylee was fantastic! She was so personable and put in such a great effort in making sure that we had everything that we needed. The food was also great but the atmosphere and service experience was so improved by her excellent hospitality!! Definitely the best guest service I have had eating out in a long while. :)“

“This is hard for me. On one hand, I don’t want to share this secret for fear it may make it harder for me to enjoy in the future. But on the other, this should be the most celebrated ramen in Los Angeles. It is hands down my favorite ramen, karaage and curry. Chef Niki is an absolute master and the service is unmatched.“

“by far the best ramen place i've been to in the united states. honestly before visiting here i did not know that ramen could even be that rich and flavorful. loved it with the vinegar and without it - if you like extremely flavorful and hearty foods this is seriously a must go“

“I want to start out saying I never take the time to write reviews, but I want this place to thrive and stay around forever. Phenomenal fusion food, awesome and unexpected presentation (the ramen is served under a smoky bubble!!), friendly and helpful staff. Top stuff. Can't recommend enough. Will be going back.Vegetarian options: vegetarian ramen broths!! In our world of seemingly only meat-flavored ramens, Redwhite Boneless Ramen really stands out with it's delicious vegetarian-only dishes packed with delicious fusion flavors.“

“Rakkan Ramen in downtown LA is a fantastic dining experience. The broth is rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of spices. The noodles are cooked to perfection, and the toppings are fresh and abundant. The vegan options are a highlight, offering delicious alternatives without compromising on taste. The ambiance is cozy and the service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommend for any ramen enthusiast!“

“Dear Me, We can definitely come back here if we get a chance. I know we like spicy ramen, but resist! Instead order the classic no spice. Don't get tempted with the fancy alternatives. Their pork broth is sooo good. We stole a lot from our kiddo's kids ramen. Chashu was super good as well. Service was awesome. Oh! Get the gyoza combo Man, that broth tho. Lol. P.s. we tried bomb and black.“

“4/5 stars (Vegetarian here for a plant-based/vegan review):We visited Suehiro Mini in Chinatown after the Chinatown Neighborhood Night Market hosted by CCEDLA in October, but I'm posting this review after learning that Suehiro's Little Tokyo location is facing eviction. Suehiro is a small family run restaurant chain with two generations of history, and the location in Chinatown has a smaller menu and storefront than its other locations. We were seated around 10:30 pm and the store wasn't too busy but it took us around 20 minutes to get our orders in and another 20 for the food to come out. Service is on the slower side so if you're on a time crunch definitely factor that in! There are four vegan options: vegan tomato ramen, vegan mapo don, vegan vegetable udon, and vegan yakisoba. I ordered the vegan tomato ramen. The broth was super thick and flavorful, and topped with fried and battered zucchini, tomato, and eggplants. While the portion sizes are quite large, the broth had a bit of a one note flavor and wasn't able to continue eating after I got through half. They have to-go containers so I was able to bring home the rest and it served as another meal. My friends ordered a Haiyashi Rice and Curry Rice and both really enjoyed their meal too. Their portions seemed even bigger, so if you have a small appetite I recommend sharing! Though service wasn't the quickest, we still enjoyed our meal, and I would love to return to try the other vegan options. If you're in the Chinatown area, try this ramen spot (as well as other small legacy businesses who are being pushed out by wealthier corporations that are actively working on gentrifying Chinatown).“

“Tsujita LA was a wonderful little jump into Japan for lunch. There are garlic cloves on their side for a reason!! EVERY THING was deliciously garlicky! The flavors were unbelievable !!! The soup was wonderful. The pork was perfectly cooked and so tender the noodles were just yummy. it was such a little getaway treat!!! The restaurant is small and decorated in a minimalist fashion. There's a lovely bar to sit at in a few tables. The waiter was very sweet and very new. All and all, it was a delicious experience“

“Food is great, the service was excellent. I liked the little dumplings appetizer the best tho! My friend took her little dog, so we sat outside and the waitress even gave her water. Very clean.. but inside is definitely cuter than outside !“

“It's more like a ramen shop than a Chinese restaurant in a town like Korakuen in Japan. So, I guess the shop name is Ramen Shop.Well, that's exactly what it is!The volume of fried rice is about 3 servings.I think it would be quite tough for each person to have one plate, so you can share it.Alcohol and wine are also available, so you can feel comfortable drinking and eating. All the staff could speak Japanese.I can easily understand why the restaurant is popular among Japanese people who are exhausted from Los Angeles due to its soothing and frank customer service. The inside of the store is not large, so be prepared to wait. However, even after waiting, my turn came unexpectedly quickly.Write your name on the waiting paper and wait. There are many popular shops lined up, but there aren't many parking spaces, so it depends on the time of day, but if you can park on the street.Maybe I should stop. There were cars waiting for a parking spot.Around 8pm on weekdays.Parking: There are many popular shops lined up, but there aren't many parking spaces, so it depends on the time of day, but if you can park on the street.Maybe I should stop.Wheelchair accessibility: It looks like you can sit outside or inside.“

“We had zero expectations when we walked in - just needed a bite before heading to the Fonda. It was AMAZING!! We don't live nearby, but we've been telling everyone how much we loved it. Extremely kind staff, wonderful food, real wasabi available. It's not fancy and the prices are reasonable and we really appreciated that vibe. So good!! We'll be back any time we're in the area and are already looking forward to it.“

“It is chilly in LA tonight so how about some miso soup? Waku waku was just what we were looking for. We ducked in to warm up with a couple of bowls of miso and a salad. Waku waku also serves ramen, sushi and pokes. It all looks good we are staying up the block at the Dream only a block and a half away. We plan to come back soon. Recommend.“

“I feel compelled to leave a review since this is the best ramen I’ve ever had.Not only that, but their service is OUTSTANDING.I was received with a smile, got seated right away, and I got my food 2 minutes after I ordered. I was impressed. And don’t let the speed to which I was served follow you…THE RAMEN WAS AMAZING.You can really tell how slowly they cook the broth and the noodles.I’m truly amazed!“

“Was visiting LA for a few days and was a little disappointed with some of the more popular ramen places I've tried in Little Tokyo. This is definitely one of the best ramen places (if not the best) that I've tried in Little Tokyo. Had the signature Tokushima Ramen and absolutely loved it! The broth is on the lighter side so it's not too overpowering like some of the others. The noodles texture is just right and compliments really well with the broth. Chashu and meat slices are well marinated and tender. I was the only customer during that time and had a really nice chat with the friendly Japanese staff/owner. Overall, a highly recommended place!“

“This place is a gem. You can tell the owner cares about the food, if you come here and it's a long wait, that's the reason. Fortunately for me my food was prepared quickly and it was SOOOOOO GOOD! had the tofu ramen, my partner didn't love the broth, but my kid and I did. Regarless, the tofu was crispy and all the flavors worked. We also had the black serpent roll. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD Fantastic flavor. I ordered the bulgogi bowl. And wow wow wow. So freaking good. There were aromatic seeds on there that I've never tasted and in general I'm so glad we ate there today. Please support, you'll love it.“

“I recently visited Killer Noodle Tsujita, and it was an unforgettable culinary adventure. Known for its bold, spicy ramen, this bustling spot did not disappoint. The decor is modern and vibrant, reflecting the energetic atmosphere. The menu offers a range of heat levels, and I opted for the Tokyo Style with a medium spice level, which delivered a perfect balance of rich, creamy broth and a satisfying kick. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the toppings, including minced pork and green onions, were fresh and flavorful. The attentive staff ensured a great dining experience, making Killer Noodle Tsujita a must-visit for any ramen enthusiast craving an exciting and delicious meal.“

“I may be mistaken, but surely Hana Ichimonme is the very last remaining name in the beloved Yohan Plaza that currently we know of as Little Tokyo Market Place. Gone is the original bowling alley, the Northface Flagship Store, and many other Japanese eateries however, I am very happy to see this traditional Japanese restaurant still serving many favorites.Their menu continues to deliver your classic Japanese affair with Ramen, Soba, Chanpon, Katsu, Curry, and many other staples. This is comfort food in a sense for many patrons and fans. The quality is good. It isn't the upscale or overly priced gourmet, and this is what makes the approachable nature of having an institution. The service is excellent. The handover of ownership vacated the charm. The pricing is about $5 more than the perceived value. Maybe this is the pricing required to maintain. Parking is validated for 90 minutes, and this shopping center continues to offer many other things to warrant an entertaining and worthy stop.“
