“Went for a meal to eat after a long day at work. Was looking for a simple, stomach filling place to eat for a decent price. This place was just that. The girl at the front who seems to be the daughter saw me and stood up to take my order. The food was ready in just a few minutes but they still tasted amazing. They're not world-changing, but you get what you pay for. I also had a nice conversation with the owner, making the space really comfortable. I've been to several Chinese takeout restaurants around states (I travel a lot), but this place gave me such a hearty experience I just had to rate it.“

“I have had the same hibachi chef for two meals in a row now. Super fun guy, gets the whole table laughing and most importantly he is an expert chef!“

“I'm a self proclaimed foodie and this is the best Chinese food in the area. I just recently moved to this area a year ago and tried so many of the Oxford and Seymour Chinese spots and was disappointed in 90%.Fortune house exceeded my expectations and is among the best I've had in CT. The food was excellent and the rice was out of this world!Highly recommend!“

“We have been going to Moon Star for the very best Chinese food for many years. The food is so good that after moving away four years ago, it is still the place we go to every time we come back to visit family and have dinner together. Today we had another delicious meal with an additional order to take back home! The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the online order process is easy, quick and efficient. Still love Moon Star!“

“We stopped in here for takeout while on the way home. Very unassuming from the outside. The staff was friendly and the food was ready in about 10 minutes as promised. Not as expensive for combination plates as sone other places have been recently.Overall the food was good. The dumplings were amazing. I would go back just for them. I also liked how the chicken was cut into smaller pieces for the General Tso. It allows for more of the sauce to seep into the chicken. Will definitely be getting food here again.“

“I ordered the pork fried rice and boneless pork ribs and they were both very good, only waited about 10 minutes for them to make my order, the service was great and polite, place was very clean with a couple of tables for anyone who wanted to eat in.“

“Wow, this is the best Chinese food I have found in the area. Food was hot and fresh and they use quality ingredients. The shrimp stir fried with vegetables in kung pao sauce were really fresh and perfectly cooked and the vegetables were still crispy. The crunchy water chestnuts were a nice touch. They don't use heavy gloopy sauces. The hot and sour soup was also a pleasant surprise. It was perfectly balanced with vinegar and some heat from chilis and had lots of fresh mushrooms and shredded bamboo shoots. Most of their business seems to be take-out. Don't be dissuaded by the appearances from the outside. We tried four different dishes and they were all hits. I will definitely be back!“

“We'll be back! First time customer...couldn't resist the aromas as we headed for BigY! So we had no idea about Peking Tokyo and the 2 chicken dishes we ordered were OUTSTANDING. We thought our regular go-to for Chinese take-out was pretty good...Peking Tokyo is better than "pretty good"! (Approx 5th time here yesterday, 2/6/2021, the Kung Po Chicken was horrible (nasty chicken chunks, way too much salt). If I'd ordered that at 1st visit, I would not have come back!)“

“They are THE BEST ! The last time I had such great Chinese was in China Town in the City of Chicago. They are serious. Love their Hot and Sour soup. Not skimpy with flavorful ingredients like others in the area. Excellent Kung Pao Chicken. Spicy as it should be. Generous ingredients. They are the only place to go for Chinese here.“

“A staple of the Woodbury community for as long as I can remember, Ting Jiang nails the classics (Sesame Chicken, Sweet/Sour, etc), but they also bring bold Asian flavor to an extensive menu of memorable meals. A few tables for indoor dining, the restaurant is walking distance from everything the town has to offer (natural market, schools, antique shops, parks). We often do takeout and the service is fast, friendly, affordable, and the food always fresh. The portions are seriously generous—usually enough to stretch into multiple meals. Litchfield County is lucky to have a family business like this call Woodbury home.“

“My husband and I LOVE this place! We have been coming here for over 8 years now and it is the best Chinese in the area by far!The original owner was a very nice man, always remembered his customers by name and was a staple of the restaurant. When he unfortunately passed, his family took over and they are just as wonderful. I come here from New York (I travel between the tri-state for work frequently), and he always makes me feel welcome when I return. It can be a few months before he sees me again, but he remembers not only me, but my go-to order as well. The food is just as great as the people! Closest thing to NYC Chinese food I have found outside of NYC.“

“I'm really picky about Chinese food. These guys are hands down the best in the area. I've tried other local restaurants and been throughly disappointed. I've always been pleased with what they serve and their service. Shout out to their dumplings in particular, not too doughy, not too greasy.. Just perfect!“

“This is pretty typical Chinese food. I've been coming here at least 10 years. Usually I pick up Chinese food when my wife doesn't feel like cooking or we got back home late. We've had twice cooked pork, Gen Tso's, beef +broccoli, egg rolls, sweet+sour chicken and all soup. The dumpling fried or steamed are what you find anywhere. The negative reviews need to be examined very closely. Here's my theory: We live in a world with a generation of people who easily get their feelings bruised. When this area had a greater concentration of transplanted NY-ers or descendants of city folk, people were more accustomed to gruff conversation. The young man's english skills in here aren't great. Sometimes his reply could be interpreted as gruff. He yells in Chinese to the kitchen help. Sometimes they yell back. Everything is on display here - you can watch them cook your food - there is no kitchen in back. It's all transparent. People in Bethel are scared of this behavior. They think they should be walking out with participation trophies as customer of the hour or something. If they think you talked tough to them here in Bethel, they will gather their friends and bravely face you down by writing a collaboration of bad reviews on Yelp. Trust me, I sometimes am told I have the lowest threshold shull bit than alost anyone, and this guy who runs the place has never been anything less than polite, providing decent Chinese food at a reasonable price. I am really dismayed at the number of people trying to ruin the livelihood of a hardworking guy over what was probably hurt feelings. I'd recommend these snowflakes toughen up, but have a shred of decency by leaving this man alone. The food here is more than acceptable and claiming you threw it out is just vindictive garbage. Having been to China and Taipei I can tell you this food is on a par with the typical competitors. I am just not the biggest fan of Chinese food otherwise I'd give 5 stars, but 4 stars is nothing to sneeze at. I wish this man well, and wish the Bethel negative people peace and more love, less hate.“

“We recently moved to New Fairfield from Queens, NY - so appreciate good Chinese/Japanese/Korean food. We've tried and been disappointed by all the Chinese restaurants north of I-84, so decided to venture further afield and ordered takeout from Beijing Chinese to bring with us to an event held at the Charter Oak Brewery (which doesn't serve food - so encourages patrons to bring their own). Tough to see/find off White St, Beijing is buried in a nondescript food, strip mall perpendicular to White St - also containing a pizza joint, a sandwich deli and Jamaican j*** joint. Beijing was buzzing with patrons awaiting their takeout; the other 3 establishments were dead - so others must also like Beijing's food. Items such as egg rolls, wontons & dumplings most restaurants buy frozen from whole sellers and so taste uniformly Meh! But the 3 freshly prepared dishes we ordered were very good: Beef Chow Fun, General Tso's Chicken. Hot & Spicy Chicken - about as good as any Queens neighborhood Cantonese takeout, though not up to Flushing Standards. This restaurant is strictly takeout; you wait on the sidewalk and the the transaction takes place thru a window (Good for Covid-19 precautions). We will make the schlep and further explore their menu!“

“We've gone to MICI many times and we're never disappointed. We love Sushi and it's delicious. We sit at the bar and have the chef make us special creations - always awesome. And the YELLOWTAIL WITH JALAPEÑO is to die for.“
