“I had the tuna poke bowl. It isn't a bowl and was a little small, but it is just an appetizer, so not surprising. It was delicious! Some friends had the hawaiian salad; everyone liked theirs. The desserts (creme brulee and banana egg rolls) were delicious. And all of this sitting outside by a babbling brook. The Foundry is one of my favorite area restaurants. I can't wait to go back!”

“I am obsessed with Robeks in Newtown, CT!! Ive ordered ahead on their app two days in a row. I will start out with its a bit pricey a 22oz medium size smoothie is $8 plus. However, when You buy organic its more expensive. When you shop at Whole Foods & Trader Joe's vs Big Y and Shoprite its more expensive. You pay more for the health benefits. Day 1 I got a medium nuts about protein smoothie (which has active water, peanut butter, coffee, raw honey, cinnamon, multi vitamin, and non fat frozen yogurt). This shake also comes with whey because I excluded that Im not looking to be buff! All the ingredients are so fresh and I feel like a health nut drinking it. Except its absolutely delicious. Day 2 - I got the same smoothie in large but this time with peanut banana toast. My husband would never normally touch non crunchy peanut butter. But he tried my peanut butter toast and actually liked it! Using the app I was given several rewards for money off my first day I used my $3 off reward for using the app. Today I used the $2 off reward for my first order and I still have $1 left in rewards for a new rewards program they have. Between the protein and fruit smoothies, acai bowls, and toasts Im sure You'll find at least one thing you love.”

“NewSylum is a brewery built in the old Newtown asylum (the employee dining hall, if I remember correctly). They usually don't have six IPAs on draft like most places, shuffling between a healthy mix of styles. Beers range from good to great; I've never had a bad one. The pizza is where this place really stands out. It's fired in a brick oven and the result is a New Haven inspired personal pizza that's a little closer to New York style (CT beer fans: think Brewport's but smaller). You can tell it's popular because they have a huge stack of to-go boxes. There's a lot of other stuff on the menu I haven't bothered trying because this is so good. Parking is a bit of a pain, especially if you want to fight for one of the two car chargers on the other side of the Fairfield Hills campus. But the chargers are free (for two hours), so if you can get one, lucky you! Also, it can get crowded and loud sometimes, especially when the music starts. Most breweries are like that. It's better in the summer when their outdoor space is fully operational. Plan your visit accordingly. But do visit the old asylum. You'd be insane not to.”

“Had fried mozzarella & chicken wings as appetizers, enough for 3 people to share. For dinner, had chicken francese. Francese sauce was more lemony than buttery. Side of pasta was al dente & delicious.”

“Cover two is a great spot to have a good meal in a fun atmosphere! BTW, the cheeseburger salad is un…….believable!! Best ever. The wings are always great, with lots of flavors to choose from. The place is hopping with families, kids out with their friends and lots of energy. Tons of TVs playing every sporting event you would want to watch. We go there frequently for a solid meal and great experience. Small observation: we were shorted a wing for takeout a couple times. No worries though, stuff happens when you are so busy, and we will be back again soon!”

“New Wok is the go to place for take out Chinese food in Newtown! My favorite dishes are the sweet and sour chicken (so crispy), fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and spicy beef with broccoli. The staff provides fast and easy service for take out with many tables if you choose to sit down. The food always tastes fresh and hot even after an entire drive home.”

“Stopped to get a cup of coffee, and wanted a slice which they sell because I didn’t want to wait. I should have waited the pizza was crisp and tasty. Service was friendly and quick! Tried stopping back on return but they were closed Monday . Will return on next ”

“I had a retirement party for a co-worker with 60+ people and ordered 1/2 a sheet cake, a gourmet cookie platter, a brownie platter and a pastry platter through the website at Caraluzzis.com. What an awesome experience! The website is so easy to use, although the cake was only available from the Bethel location, but that was not a big deal. The baked goods were delicious - my coworkers were all asking where I got them from, everyone loved them. And everything was ready for pick up right on time.”

“We had doubt because it does not have many reviews. But they seem to have less greasy food so we gave it a try. Everything turned out great! We were so happy with their wraps and grinders. Their dessert was tasty too. Apparently this may be the place for local people. In that hour we had dinner, we saw like 10 people coming in to grab their take outs. And as shown in my picture, we had food left to take home ( since we we are not big eaters ). Their entrance was hard to find even when we were in the Highland Plaza. We had to call to find our way in. I would recommend this place to people liking quality food at a not super crowded restaurant. ??”

“South of town locale on South main Street (state route 25), the main north/south route through the Botsford section of town, this is on the Monroe side of Newtown. Gets busy on weekends and sometimes you may have to wait awhile for your fries. The food is good the fries are great.”

“Every now and then I get a craving for a chicken cutlet sandwich. I have a deli less than a mile from my house, very well known one. But I always forget their cutlet is not good - very grissel-ey and just, yuck.This time I did not forget and tried something new to me. And boy oh boy was it delicious! I ordered online, switched to provolone, add mayo and waffle fries. Chicken was crispy and hot, and fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft inside. Staff was very kind, as they should be. Pricing was typical, but better than other places. And they got the whole online order correct! Overall, A++”

“First time eating here and was very impressed. This place is a step above “bar food”.The wings have to be some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Asian Zing flavor was great.Between wraps, tacos and sandwiches all the food came out great. “We were unaware of the business hours and walked in 10 minutes after closing and were told that they had just closed. As we were turning out, the owner went above and beyond and still offered to make us the two bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches we had wanted. The owner was extremely kind and we had great conversation with him. He told us this would be the best bacon egg & cheese we would have and he did not lie! The food was very good. He even gave us an additional crumb cake on the house as well. Overall experience was 10/10, we appreciate it very much & will be back! ”
