8 Best American Restaurants in Crestview

“I like Cracker Barrel and I'm grateful that Crestview has one. I just wish they would improve their portion sizes and make sure their waiters know what area they are serving. We waited and waited for someone to take our drink order. Our waiter was the guy that kept passing us by! We came very close to walking out after probably 10-15 mins. or more of waiting. This was around 3:45, 4:00 today and it was not busy! He did come by finally and stop at our table and apologize. You would think that he would have tried extra hard after that. Portion sizes in Crestview are not always the same as I've had in Destin (They do a great job!)... especially the okra. Barely enough! Why do you always skimp on okra!!!?? I asked for it to be crispy and it really wasn't. It used to be good but the last two times it has not been. Our waiter never even came back to offer refills of drinks. My husband gave me the rest of his drink instead. Sad! Please improve your training of staff and portion sizes!! The other thing I've noticed is that on busy days (like Sun. lunch) you used to start the wait list from the front of your restaurant which was wonderful! Now guests have to go back to get their names on the wait list and there are also people waiting to be seated. It's a mess!! Very chaotic! Please go back to having a hostess right upfront as you walk in. This was so much better and didn't crowd two groups of people in the same area (those waiting to be seated and those needing to get on the wait list). I like Cracker Barrel a lot but there is a lot of room for improvement in the one in Crestview!“

“Waffle House is a new Christmas dinner tradition we started & so glad we went to this one. Our waitress ( wish I had her name ) was absolutely wonderful from the moment we walked in. She accommodated us with two booths next to each other because there were 6 of us. She was an absolutely delight. One order came out later than others plates, and one of the cooks doubled up on the hashbrowns as an apology. They all had gloves on as well, which does not happen at another one in town. We will be going here from now on.“

“We've lived in crestview for over 2 years now, however we don't get out often for breakfast at all. This morning was the very rare occasion that my husband and I were both off on the same day and we wanted to get breakfast. We don't love waffle house at all so a quick google search showed me Tropical Palms and a really good review rating so we came over. They did not disappoint! We both ordered omlette meals and were both very pleased with the whole meal. We've found our new favorite breakfast spot for our date mornings!“
