“Food was great as usual. We had a short wait even with a reservation, but not too long. The staff is so friendly, welcoming & efficient. We brought friends that had never been and they already want to go back. It can be a little crowded but definitely worth it.“

On my most recent visit, though, I had the pleasure of tasting my favorite plate to date: Hand Rolled Orecchiette - housemade fennel sausage, charred broccolini, shaved parmesan. The Orecchiette was perfectly covered in a beautifully rich sauce and perfectly complimented the star of it all: the sausage. Chopped and of the perfect texture I found myself unable to cease my desire for more. Much to my favor, my date was enjoying the other dishes to the point of allowing me to eat the entire plate - and I still wanted more. Whatever your pallet, you will find your own star on the menu. Great recommendations, never a wait to request something and very sweet.Another girl with cute shorter red brown hair ran us our food, checked in with us and was super friendly. “Atwater restaurant was superb. The only down side was the aspect of handicap accessible entrance and outside entrance handicap parking. The ramp wasn't very conducive for handicap wheelchairs, scooters or walkers. It is my request that the Herrington really examine accessibility to all would be ideal for future guests.“

“Came here with friends. Ambiance was really lovely and warm set in a gorgeous old building. Good selection of drinks, service was professional and pleasant. The food was on the better side of average. Perhaps i ordered poorly. My Arctic Char was overcooked. Spatzle was drowning in sauce. My husbands slow-cooked ribs were good, the fennel in the lamb was slightly overpowering. The octopus starter was slightly overcooked. The shrimp bao was a winner. Desserts were delicious. The plating for everything was attractive. Would I return? Unlikely, given that we travelled for this.“

The staff was kind, engaging, and friendly and all worked hard to support each other considering how busy it was! The food was to die for, and Gino went as far as to get us an extra take-home container of a dressing we absolutely loved, because he was that great to us! My ONLY complaint would be the need for another bathroom or two, but when Gino saw me waiting, he escorted me to a back bathroom so that I didn’t arrive back at our table after our food was already served! The host greeted us promptly and gave us two options for seating; and asked if any of us had food allergies...this was a nice surprise since my kids have a food allergy and nobody ever asks us. The host made it a point that he would notify the waitstaff and kitchen staff.The service was fast and efficient, our food was awesome, and the entire staff was accommodating to our two kids. “The wife and I decided to give Proof 5 a shot since we have tried almost every restaurant in downtown Wheaton. Proof 5 is a stand out in the area! From the atmosphere to the service and the best part the food. Our server was top notch! We started with Bison Meatballs, the flavor combination of the meatball, polenta and arugula was very good. I choose the Grouper dinner and having lived in Florida and eating Grouper regularly, this Grouper was AMAZING! A very good portion that was seasoned just right not to take away from the flavor of the fish. It was served over rice with a sauce on the side which paired perfectly with the Grouper. There was not a single thing left on my plate! My wife ordered the Filet Medallions, cooked medium, and those were exceptional as well. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender. It was paired with creamed spinach, potatoes and tomato’s. Everything complimented each other! We ended with dessert. I had the German Chocolate cake in a jar and HOLY FVK! The single best dessert I have ever had! I would definitely go back! Was it pricey, yes but when it comes to food to truly get what you pay for. I have no problem paying a premium for excellent food and service!“

“I took my husband here for the first time for brunch and we can't wait to come back and work our way through the menu. My Florentine Benedict egg was perfectly poached and the hollandaise spot on; and my husband's biscuits and gravy, rich and flavored with bacon as well as sausage. My grapefruit/hibiscus mimosa--loved it. And the lingonberry pancakes were a taste of my childhood. The environment was casual and friendly with a little cozy-industrial vibe. “Coopers Hawk is consistently a great experience. Their wines are excellent and varied for every taste palette. The filet is excellent along with the chicken picatta and flat breads. I recommend this place strongly. The wine club membership is also highly recommended!“

“What a classy place. Nothing like the bowling place I went to as a kid. Bocce was tons of fun. Nice large room with 6 large lanes just off the entrance. Bowling to the right and bocce to the left. Plenty of rooms for private parties. Our waiter was very attentive at the bocce court. Great family fun! Only thing I would suggest adding is small end tables on the far side of the bocce courts for drinks. I look forward to trying out the buffet.“

“Tonight our family took fall portraits and our photographer gave our daughter a plastic spider ring that quickly became a very prized possession. After photos, we went to dinner at Ditka's Grill. Our daughter was using her bread plate to play with the ring. At some point during dinner, the bread plates had been cleared… ring & all. I went out on a limb and mentioned it to the hostess. My daughter had gotten curious about the ring but so far, we had avoided meltdown territory. The hostess let the General Manager, Zach, know about the situation. About 10 minutes later, Zach approached our table, knelt down in front of our daughter, and held out the (freshly cleaned) ring. “I believe this belongs to you, miss?” he said. My jaw is still on the ground. Thank you Ditka’s Grill and Zach for going so far beyond customer service. You are a GEM! Also the steak, seafood, cocktails, and wine were spectacular - as usual.“

We usually sit at the bar and the bartenders are very friendly. Troy has made us some great cocktails. I recommend Coffee Shop After Hours with mezcal (or vodka), cold brew and cocoa bean. The Rye Old Fashioned is really good. The Bloody Mary (only served during Sunday brunch) is outrageous with that slider on top! They have a decent beer selection also. The prime rib special is delicious and perfectly cooked. Rocco burger is good too. We enjoy coming here place. You will need to be mindful of the hours because they're not typical.“

The bartender was very accommodating to my picky girlfriend who didn’t know what she wanted, even though they were very busy. Before we left, the bartender offered us a free shot of Malort because my girlfriend hadn’t tried it before. So friendly and awesome. Great dartboard. 10/10. She even did the Guinness draught right with the creamy stuff on top.“

“On February 20th,2024, visited the office with six colleagues for a lunch meeting. What started as a meeting with three colleagues grew to six within the hour. Our server Maeve K, handled the growing party without any issues, quickly moving us a larger table (drinks and all.) Service was excellent (our water and soft drink glass were never empty) and the food was outstanding. Several of our colleagues had never been to the office but after this lunch meeting all said they were coming back for dinner & to try out the outdoor patio.“

I did not complain about mine but mama was talking to the manager when she started coughing so it was inevitable. “We had reservations for a table and were seated right away. We sat for over 15 minutes before asking a few different employees for a waiter. We soon realized the place was drastically understaffed. We went to the bar to get drinks while we waited and eventually got served. I will say that the staff they did have was hustling like crazy so can't be mad at them a bit but management didn't seem present and the small staff was overwhelmed. They had a band while we were there and they were awesome. Food was all very tasty as were the drinks.“
