“Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!”

“Absolutely love this brewery! Hoptopus is my fav CL IPA! They don't serve anything else but beer and popcorn along with cucumber lemon water! Now they do have vendors and there's so many places that you can hit up if you're hungry before or after. It's located in downtown Crystal lake and it does have its own parking! They also organize fun game nights and music events depending on the season! Summer it's so fun! I cannot wait to come back and have a cold hoptopus! Everything was very delicious and would get again besides my boyfriends salad was only okay. I like that they do punch cards for vegan and vegetarian dishes. Of course, the attraction is the cook, preparing your dinner on the grill right in front of you. They put in a great show. It was fairly busy when we were there, but we did have reservations, so we were seated right away. The service was great. It was a wonderful experience.Vegetarian options: You can order only vegetables and the cook asks if you are a vegetarian. He will then cook it in a separate part of the grill.Parking: Lot was fairly full, but there was still parking available.”

“Fun, kitschy old-fashioned tiki bar with great cocktails (especially mai-tai’s), yummy egg rolls, and various tasty and reasonably priced Chinese dishes, nicely presented. Our favorite is the Har Sue Pea Pod. If you’re lucky you might have Danny as your server; he has been there 54 years now, and I’ve never had better, warmer customer service! Live music adds to the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights or try karaoke night for a lot of fun. In the summer, the large outdoor patio is lovely too.”

“Mike and his staff were extremely friendly. Día de los Muertos murals adorn the walls and give the place a different BBQ vibe. My wife and I started with a pulled pork empanada with a side of chimichuri. The pork was tender and delicious, in a deep fried crust with three different cheeses. Each bite added more to the flavor. For dinner I had the St Louis Ribs which were juicy, flavorful and fall of the bone. They didn't need sauce but adding kicks it up a notch. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich which was huge and served on Texas toast. Mike cane to check on us a few times and when I mentioned wanting to taste the brisket next time, he went to the back and cut me a piece. I haven't had brisket that tender with a nice bark and smoke ring!! I recommend this place to anyone in the mood for great food. You won't be disappointed!!!”

The boozy shakes were really good, the beer can chicken sandwich was great with the creole sauce, the fries were hot and fresh, and my wife ordered the Sicilian pork bowl and at our server's recommendation got feta cheese and additional sauce on the side and it was also great!”

Best part might be the freshly made churros, however, as they are serious in size and came out perfect. “Found a Starbucks in downtown Crystal Lake, so I decided to come here for breakfast before heading to the airport for my flight to Fort Wayne, Indiana. I always loved the vibe of Starbucks and it was empty enough to where I could secure a seat after purchasing my trenta black tea lemonade. I arrived here on a brisk Monday late April 2024 morning at around 6:15am, after my friend dropped me off before she headed to work. It was nice and warm, when the weather was chill outside. There was a couple of people ahead of me, so I waited my time to order up a trenta black tea lemonade. Starbucks is known for their coffees and frappuchinos, but I ended up getting their handcrafted ice teas. While Starbucks can be expensive, it's a lifestyle for most people who live for this stuff, myself included. The ambiance of this Starbucks, like many standalone stores, is an oasis for many. I love the fact that you can enjoy your purchase and hang out or work on your mobile device online with wifi. The place is clean and typical of what you'd find at a Starbucks store. For myself though, I had brought my leftovers from dinner the night before and paired it with the aforementioned trenta black tea for an ideal pairing for breakfast. I probably spent about 1 1/2 hours here just enjoying the small town ambiance Crystal Lake provides before calling an Uber to take me to Chicago O Hare that morning. I enjoyed every bit of the experience here. Wish more experiences was like that, but then again, I'd have to sit at Starbucks more. The overall experience here at this Starbucks in downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois was very pleasant. I sat near the entrance, so it was close to the parking lot for my Uber pick up spot. Plus, the restroom facilities were on that side of the building as well. The baristas were friendly and courteous, so that's always good, especially on the mornings. The entire ordering process took about 5 minutes from ordering to pick up, which was quite fast. The entire Starbucks was clean and very immaculate. I would definitely recommend coming to this Starbucks, if they are in the area or just passing thru. This just might be the only Starbucks location in Crystal Lake, Illinois, but I am not sure. I am thankful that they are here, since I usually try to find one on every trip. The wifi was pretty strong that morning, so I got some things done while I was there, including downloading my boarding pass on my mobile device and other whimsical things like being updated on the local and national news of the day. With that in mind, Starbucks is usually a daily thing for me and vacationing in Crystal Lake, Illinois is included. Thankfully I found one wandering around the day before, so I could come here the next day for my daily fix. If you are in the area and need your daily fix, consider this Starbucks in downtown Crystal Lake. This Starbucks store is located in downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois. It's physically located at 40 N Williams Street, Crystal Lake, Illinois. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a generous parking options near by, so that's a good thing, especially in the morning. I was dropped off by my friend who lives in Crystal Lake and picked up by an Uber that morning. The prices here were pretty good, compared to my hometown of Honolulu, so I saved a little bit, but not by much. Their menu is mostly drinks, which isn't surprising, but they always have baked goods to compliment your drink(s) of choice. For the most part though, it was nice to come here to have leftovers from last night and indulge in my Starbucks drink of choice. Relax in the delicious ambiance that Starbucks provides and you'll be good with what life throws at you. Most of the time at least. My time here at this Starbucks was enjoyable and hope yours will be too. 4.5 stars for the overall experience. 3.5 stars for the pricing but everything else was 5.0 stars. Support local! B+”

“I don’t make a ton of reviews but I had to review Pinemoor because this place knows thin crust pie better than anyone in a 25 mile radius, I’m convinced. I’ve tried just about every other pizza spot in Crystal Lake and none of them have even a contender spot in the race against Pinemoor. The crust alone is a perfectly imperfect canvas, and the sauce is exactly what any true pie lover would want the artist to paint it with. Next time I’m getting extra sauce on top! 6/5 stars all day. I found my new favorite local pie joint, and it’s Pinemoor.”

“I have been here quite a handful of times now. Their main dish positions are big. I like that they have a "heat" scale of 1 to 5 that they ask you before making your dish. Their appetizers are filling and enough to share. Cons-their satay children is hit or miss. Sometimes it's juicy and all the flavors click and sometimes it tastes old and leaves a sour aftertaste. Also when they pack up your food, if you don't specify to pack the leftover appetizers with your dishes they just throw them out. Otherwise, everyone is nice and the food is worth it to come back!”

“Recently went to the Daddy Daughter Date night they set up. IT WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND AMAZING! I thought it was going to be a nice little reserved set up so we could eat and have some fun but they did what chick-fil-a does and made it INCREDIBLE. They had actual Unicorns, fairies and mascots there and activities for the kids. (they ran it very efficiently as well) As always, the service and the food was great too. Very happy with the night and I will absolutely sign up again.”

The potato salad, on the other hand was the worst I’ve ever had. Being from Texas, I prefer Mayo and mustard in my potato salad, but I have appreciated just Mayo also. This definitely missed the mark. My daughter got the breakfast burrito and thought it was fine, but not special. The best part of our meal was our lattes, which were delicious! We would return for the lattes and to try the beignets. The service was slow, but not surprising since lunchtime was very busy. Our server was friendly and attentive.”

My youngest has some severe allergies and he is now old enough that he wants to be ordering his own kids meal when we eat out. The manager and staff were so kind and accommodating on our last visit and let us know the items that were safe for him. We are happy to have another place where we know we can safely order food together as a family. My little guy was so proud to be able to order his own kids meal. My kids also LOVE their chips and salsa.”

“I have been ordering from here for dinner where I work. We all aty work enjoy the pizza & appetizer. I ordered a Chicken Ceasar salad, a small BLT pizza & an Italian Beef with giardiniera with a side of adjustable. Well my coworker told me she only received 1 small Ceasar dressing for the salad (2 or 3 for the salad would have it nicely covered), Italian Beef was a fully disappointment. I would NEVER recommend that at all. The menu for the Italian Beef is NOT true at all. The menu says "NOW WITH MORE MEAT", well I received more giardiniera then meat. When I called she told me that it was 6ozs. of meat that all beefs get. I can tell you as a former line cook that packaged Italian Beef that what I received was NOT 6ozs since I packaged 7ozs of Italian Beef. I DO NOT recommend the Italian Beef at all. I was excited to get the be since all I heard was good things but when I received it and looked at the sandwich it was giardiniera with very little Italian Beef and I received 2 large containers of auju. I was really DISAPPOINTED on the sandwich and the answer that they gave me. If your menu says "NOW WITH MORE MEAT" 6ozs is not enough. It was a GIARDINIERA sandwich with Italian beef... Other pizza I will not order anything else. VERY DISAPPOINTED.... Pictures will be posted...”

“i might be biased here but this is one of my favorite chain places. Their salads are always great, many of my coworkers enjoy their sandwiches as well. You gotta get a sweet tea - may i suggest a half & half with lemonade. They also have great desserts, i always get a chocolate chip cookie, they are soft and delicious. The staff at this location are always super friendly and as quick as they can be. I've seen them short staffed many times in the past and they always try their best and have a smile on. Really no issues with service at all - around lunch time this place gets busy. Plenty of seating, bathrooms are always clean. I love McAlister's.. i wish there was one in NJ but i frequent this location enough to satisfy my salad cravings.”
