“The first time I ended up at this place it was because I found it on a Google search when I was looking for some tacos close to my job.I'll be honest, when I saw that it was inside of a gas station, it felt a little sketchy. I'm so glad I tried it, though! Their tacos are great!! I've been here many times and the quality and flavor is always consistent.“
“Never would have guessed that a liquor store/bar would be my favorite drinking spot but here we are! The bar has the best prices around - $1 Busch cans - $2 domestic drafts and bottles - not sure why anyone would go anywhere else in the Gilberts area. Phenomenal bartending, amazing service, great ownership and dog friendly!“
“It’s a pretty neat place to come and stop by for some food and a drink. They had the fire pit going on outside this winter and thought that was cool. Staff there seemed really friendly as well. Lots of people come here from the wedding venue up the street.“
“We dined in tonight and it was busy and took a little while to get menus and drinks but it was totally worth the wait. The food was AMAZING along w the margaritas flight. There was only 2 servers tonight you could tell they were working so hard and so fast to accommodate everyone. We’ll definitely be back!“
“Everything on the menu seems to be amazing. The service is always friendly and fast, and the food is often out so fast that I'm surprised by it. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants out there, and this one is tied for the top spot in my experience. I seriously only know one other restaurant with food this good, and have only had tacos as gourmet as these twice in my life. It's not just good. “Great beer selection! Friendly service. You can bring your own food, they have complimentary snacks. You can also order from Wise guys Pizza next door. They now have a TV with sorts playing and an even better selection of beer. Eat/drink local!“
“Lots of potential here. Cozy with a large outdoor area including seating with fire pits. Wood is $15 if you want a fire. Clean restrooms and friendly service are found here along with newer but tight indoor seating area. Will go back as this was our first visit. Live guitar player/singer outside named Josh that sounded very good but froze his fingers off... Tap Room, give him some heat! Met friendly and fun people so looking forward to stopping in again. It's located right across from Klein's on Plank Road.“
“Just recently discovered this South Elgin gem. Been coming here after High school football games. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. There menu is very good, haven't had a bad meal yet. Even the regulars are welcoming. Plenty of TV's to catch a game, just learned they have live music too on the weekends. Come and enjoy. You won't be disappointed.“

“Nice little dive bar. Found it as we messed up the train schedule coming back from Medinah and enjoyed some beer and pool. Close to the casino so we walked over there for a bit then headed back to the bar for a last round before catching the right train back home. Definitely an old building which is cool. If I was ever near there again I would stop in.“
“What a great vibe in here! The clientele is mixed and everyone is chill. There are middle aged and millennials, regulars and newbies all in one small space. People come in off the street while walking their dogs just to say "hi". The look is an eclectic mix of rock n roll meets pop with some hippy mixed in. In the back is fun outside seating. If it's nice, get out there and relax. Don't miss out on this place and don't be afraid to go inside ladies, don't be fooled by the outside...it's perfectly ok and you'll miss out on a gem.“
“Good and bad things to cover, so why five stars - rated for what it is and how they perform to those standards. Easy to find and close to other bars for some fun bar hopping! Parking can be a bit tough if you are not familiar with the area. Matt’s is a dive bar vibe with enough TV’s to keep you entertained by the game. Worn but kept pretty clean!! No kitchen . Only a couple of gambling machines. The patrons were mixed between locals and people waiting for the train across the street- everyone was friendly. Kelly O the bartender did a fantastic job. The big win that impressed me was a big crowd came in and the owner jumped in and helped unlike most places where they let the bartender drown and the customers suffer. “Perfect dive bar for an autumn night! Drinks are very cheap and the bar is casual and relaxed. There is a jukebox and snacks for sale but no beer on tap...only Jaeger the crowd is mostly male and the place is pretty run down. If you stay long enough though some locals may just bring in their pups! Nothing better than dogs in a bar in my opinion!“
