“We are new to the area, and decided to stop in for some ice cream. We ordered the coffee, butter pecan and cashew, and the cotton candy flavors. All were excellent! I tried the Cola Latte, and I'll definitely get it again!! My husband was very pleased because they serve Caffeine Free Diet Coke. Service was fast and very friendly, even tho we were coming thru the drive thru close to closing time. We will definitely be back!! “We came on a Friday evening at like 7 and we got seated right away. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The food was FANTASIC!! We got the BBQ pulled pork platter w creamy slaw and fried apples and the smoked ham platter w baked beans and fries. We also got the drunken potato spikes as an appetizer and they were SO good. This was also one of the cheapest date nights my bf and I have done in a long time. Highly recommend!!Parking: Parking super close to restaurant.”

“Big John’s is the perfect hometown place to eat. They are only open for breakfast and lunch during the week on Friday evenings. They are open from 5 to 7 for dinner. That is always when we go and it is awesome. Not open on Sundays.”

“I have eaten a lot of fajitas at different restaurants, but I can honestly say this is by far the best one that I have ever had! Super impressed with the food and the service. Their salsa and chips were excellent! They have a nice little outdoor patio with seating for about 25 during those nice weather days and a small and quaint indoor seating for around 40 to 50 tops. A very intimate experience and I’m guessing that the owners are probably also the same folks that make the food and run the business. I personally got the Vallerta Fajita, see picture I highlighted in “pink”.”

“Differently not your every week dining but it's differently a must try restaurant. It's a bit pricey but if you leave hungry that's your fault plus you will differently have left overs. We ate dinner and had lunch the next day on what we took home. Super friendly and fast service. “Taco Tierra is a local staple in Mt. Carmel. They offer daily specials Monday through Friday. I enjoy the Mexican Potato, Nacho Papas, and Fish Tacos the best. Certain items like the Fish Tacos are only offered on certain days of the week. My lunch break at work is only 30 minutes, so Taco Tierra is a good lunch option for me, as they are much quicker than the other fast food options around town.”

“Carmel Latte was perfect. Have to mention the server was not very friendly. Lots of nice items to purchase and many on sale. Will definitely go back again as we travel through Mt Carmel often.”

“The Spud Hut is a nice local alternative to fast food. Their loaded baked potatoes are what they are known for. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was my culinary weapon of choice. It was definitely enough for two. So lunch and dinner it was. There is something on the menu for everyone.”

“This lovely little bar tucked into picturesque Poseyville is really what America is all about. The pizzas and food are fantastic, the beer is great and the staff and people who drink there make you just want to stay. While we were there, there was a special on draft beers at a 1$ pint!! Cannot recommend this place highly enough.”

“Fish taco was delicious! Lots of fish on it. They use good fish too. Didn't taste 'fishy'! We will definitely be making the 30 minute drive to go back! Also had a Sancho. Loved it too especially with mild sauce. Really like the sweetness it brings out in the taco!”

“Super clean resteraunt. Hard to spot from the highway, right beside the movie theater, it looks small on the outside but has tons of seating and a bar area inside.The food was really, really good. One of the fastest order to tables we have had before too, less than 5 minutes for our food and most of the tables were packed which is awesome.Guacamole was good, I am not a fan of Guacamole and I actually ate mine so that's saying something for sure.Will be back again when in the area.”

“I LOVED this place!! I loved the atmosphere. Our bartender was so amazing. The food was excellent. This is the perfect “dive” bar. I’d love to come back to experience the night life. I’ve never had such a good burger. It was the best burger I’ve had in a really long time. Fried mushrooms were so good too. I come to Indiana once or twice a year to visit my aunt and uncle. I’ll be coming back for burgers every visit back. This place is literally a gem to find. So happy we stumbled across this bar. I’ll take this place over a fine dining restaurant any time. It felt like home.”
