New American Restaurants near Excelsior, MN

“Went to the coalition for Mother’s Day late Saturday afternoon. This place has a cool vibe. The food is good and the drinks are phenomenal but like all places I wanted to give this a 5 Star rating but I would say more like a 4. They were short on servers. They had one bartender making Tons of drinks By herself, she did a phenomenal job and with a full bar besides not one stool empty in front of her. Our server was good. She was a little overwhelmed. She was working outside tables and inside, but overall we will be back, it’s to bad that all these places are hurting for servers.“

“We stopped there for dinner and sat outside on the patio because it was a nice day. We had the Johnny Cake for an appetizer. Then we had the Chilean Sea Bass and the Cedar Plank Salmon. For dessert we had the Rhubarb pie with homemade ice cream. Everything was just amazing! High quality food that was cooked perfect. The texture and flavors were outstanding! We will definitely be back again.“

“Al & Alma's Supper Club is one of my favorite places to dine. Very nice, laid back Lake Front Restaurant on Lake Minnetonka. It's not right on the water but has very nice lake views. They do have Cruises on Lake Minnetonka on 50+ foot Boats that are also very nice. My favorite food at Al & Alma's is their Liver and Onions priced $14.85 with a salad and a couple of sides (baked potato, green beans, Etc, Etc. All of their food is very good.I highly recommend Al & Alma's Supper Club....we go there at least once a month.ps.--- my wife says my comments read like an Advertisement for Al & Alma's. I have NO interest in Al & Alma's....I just enjoy the Restaurant.“

“We are moving to the Mound Harbor District in August and have been so happy to discover the Lake Room so close by! The food is top notch! This time I ordered the Sea-bass Skewers which were wonderful. My companion enjoyed the Jumbo Scallops. We sat on the patio which was properly shady. It was a beautiful evening and a fine way to end a successful Mothers Fay celebration.“

“We happened upon the Chaska CPAH quite by accident. The Juicy Lucy was a winner with my dining partner! I tried the Chicken Pot Pie with was good but not as good as the Juicy Lucy. Beef Barley Soup was warm and filling. Great service from our waiter! Great beers on tap!“

“Sushi, Lemongrass Clam Chowder, and the Wedge Salad are my usuals but this time I ordered the Salmon Piccata and it blew me away. Perfectly mid-rare salmon (as requested) atop linguine tossed with lemon oil, asparagus, roasted tomatoes and finished with a white wine butter sauce and fried capers. I was in heaven. The linguine was just right and the salmon meaty and moist. I can't stand overcooked salmon and Crave does not disappoint. Of course, I got a Wedge Salad, this time topped with grilled chicken, for the next day. ;-)“

“I came to this location to celebrate my daughters 5th birthday and it did not disappoint. The experience was very easy to workout the details and the staff member that helped us was very attentive. My daughter and her friends had a great time bowling and the pizza was delicious. They were able to have their own seating table and table for the gifts and food. I highly recommend coming to this location for a kids birthday party or even just to have some fun bowling“

“Our waitress was Tiffany and she was amazing! She was very down to earth and included my 2 year old in the conversation instead of acting like she didn't exist like most waitresses do. They were out of crayons so she offered my daughter one of her pens. We sat outside. It was beautiful outside and even though there wasn't a ton of people out there. We were checked on frequently. Food was good, got fish and chips and the pan fried walleye. Portions were comparable to the price IMO.Kid-friendliness: Waitress was so nice, my shy 2 year old hugged her on our way out!“

“Amazing food and service!! Jake is an amazing server. So hard to find such great service. Scott is amazing also. Today the food was overcooked though. Crust on stuffed chicken was black and meatloaf was black as well. I've been there many times and have not had this issue before.“

“Great sports bar! I rated low for service just because everytime i go they always seem distracted. Last time, the hostess just kept looking over at a different table that they may have hosted I guess. I get the loaded grilled cheese. It has egg, ham, bacon and it is AMAZING. Also its a sports bar so it has a well defined atmosphere.“
