“Had a blast here. When we first stopped in one afternoon the owner was very friendly. The fill in bartender, Nancy, was fun! It made us wanna check the night scene there. We ended up bouncing around but always stopping in three nights in a row. We will definitely be back!“

“Arrived to eat at 4:30 and was promptly seated. I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese along with a salad. The salad was average. The fresh bread was great for sopping cheese sauce. The Mac & Cheese was delicious. A varied menu is appreciated and they also offer a "special" everyday. We will definitely go again“

“ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!Made me feel like I was family as soon as I walked thru the door. Mrs Carol is amazing!! They have a pool table that is good as well just know it scares Fred(the famous dog and who is my buddy!) Mrs Carol serves food up until she closes which I personally love! Chicken sandwich was fire!! No this bar is not on strip but it's a place you can go feel like family and actually get a drink and not wait 20 mins. “We came in from out of town for the night and we seen this little bar, it immediately caught my attention as my husbands a veteran. We had originally planned to only stay for a couple drinks but soon as we walked in we were treated like family from the bartender Les. So an hour plan turned into close to last call. If you are in the area stop in. You won’t regret it.“

“Was there last night for a special event. Very nice place, well designed with a large fire pit by the stage. Lot's of room for dancing during concerts. Will try out the happy hour and the weekend breakfast. I heard they have the best chicken tenders. Will see.“

“Grabbed a drink and afternoon snack here after getting in town for a conference. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside on the deck and enjoyed the lake view. Our waiter was new to the restaurant and did a great job. He checked back often to ensure our drinks were full and to see if we needed anything. Definitely recommend the loaded bbq nachos!“

“Went to the hippopotamus Pool the other day and holy cow was I surprised!! The pool was huge and the area was beautiful. But that's not why I'm posting this review. I went to the swim up bar and got the absolute BEST drinks I've ever had, the menu has a variety of great drinks but the bartenders made the experience one to remember. I let them make me custom drinks all day and was not disappointed, this young man Jordan really knows how to make a margarita, I could request any flavor too and he'd throw it together with love. Him and The other bartender John were super polite and carried out true genuine conversations to make it feel like a true party. The music was great and loud to really get ya shakin it! 10/10 recommend“

“We came midweek this winter for something nice and cozy, and boy did it deliver. There were sweeping views of the lake, a warm atmosphere like home and a neat custom bourbon bar tucked into the back. It was happy hour, so we ordered some delicious apps like Piggie Wings and a pretzel. I had a smoked old fashioned that was excellent. We decided to stay for dinner- pork chop, chicken a la mer, and pasta. The service was attentive and we can't wait to come back. Thanks!“

“We held our Client Appreciation Party at Lazy Gators recently for the Fran Campbell Team at RE/MAX Lake of the Ozarks. The food was AMAZING! Everyone raved about the bar-be-que and pizza. The lake setting is the best! It could have been warmer, but JG provided heaters. We filled the space and our clients did not leave hungry :) If you haven't been before...you should definitely give Shady Gators/Lazy Gators a try!“

That, but more so the entitlement of fellow patrons, be it how they treated staff or the local wildlife, made it so less expensive venues are much more appealing.“
