“We live just north of the village and come here often. Love Yellow Mug! Order at the counter, find a table indoors or out, they will find you when your food is ready. Terrific fresh-ground coffee, creative breakfasts, sandwiches, salads (I love The One with Quinoa and Butternut Squash—yes, that is its name). Very fresh food, veg/vegan and GF options, beer and wine, excellent wifi….one of our favorite places!!!“

“First time ever going to this location. It was a bit crowded, but it's a Friday night, what do you expect? My fiancé and I sat at the bar, which was being run by Katrina, and she is a sweetheart. We got the Violet Mule and the Blooming Sangria, both made excellently. We tried the Beer Battered Cheese Curds, and they were delicious. My fiancé got the Chicken Marsala, and I tried the Peloponnesian Spaghetti. Both accompanied by a side Cesar salad, the dishes were phenomenal! This is definitely worth the visit. The prices are worth it, I promise. “By far the BEST dining experience we had in Asheville. The food is so spectacular that I bought their cookbook just to remember how good it tasted. You MUST sit at the bar! We spoke with so many people, local and repeat visitors. Friendly, fun vibe. Highly recommended!!!!“

“We have visited once for dinner and once for breakfast and I have a tough time putting down my utensils. Dinner with 4 had tartar and mussels and calamari apps and all were perfect. I had the Gemelli pasta dish (gluten sensitive) and enjoyed the flavors. For breakfast I had the Benedict Hash. My mouth wants to marry that sauce. The steak and eggs were perfectly cooked, the sauce is bold with lemon and paprika and oh so delicious.“

It was our first time in Asheville visiting friends who moved here over a year ago. This was a very popular spot for an evening snack. They had all the classic pastries that you’d hope for, including cheesecakes, key lime pies, cookies. We were pleased and came out with one pastry and 2 chocolate dipped peanut butter cookies. “If you like Nashville hot chicken and are in the area, I’d highly recommend Rockies. This location tends to get busy but the food comes out quickly. The parking situation can also get a bit busy at times.Our go to orders are: Pimento BLT sandwich with fried Mac poppers and a fried chicken combo with pickles. We love spice so we go with Rockies Hot but to some people this may be a too spicy. If you’re a spice novice then go with mild or original. They are tasty no matter the level.“

The Chilean sea bass was perfect along with the bed of risotto it was on. I loved the fried oysters as well and for anyone who enjoys cider beers the one they have is really tasty. Overall it was one of the best experiences eating out I’ve had. The service was incredible and this place is definitely a hidden little gem that I recommend to anyone.“

“We dined on the outside patio because we had our dog with us. Menu was 100% GF but you wouldn't know it - because everything was so delicious. There was also a doggie dining menu for our pup to join us for dinner w/ some rules. 1) no dogs on your lap. 2) No feeding your dog from the table. The service was amazing. The food was delicious. The wine pairings were perfection. It was a little loud outside but to be expected and was worth it to be able to bring our pup.“

“Parking: During certain times of the day it's hard to find parking due to most residents parking near the restaurant, there is parking across the street at the school but I wouldn't recommend parking there especially as school dismisses because you will be stuck there.Kid-friendliness: I saw school aged children and toddlers as well. Plenty of outdoor seating, I also saw a few doggos sitting outside with their humans.“

“I recently tried Taco Temple and overall, it was a decent experience. We started with chips and guacamole, which was fresh and plentiful, with large chunks of avocado. For our main course, we ordered the barbacoa and mahi tacos. The barbacoa had a delicious stew-like flavor, but the mahi tacos were a bit dry. I also ordered the avocado torta, it was quite good!The meal was good but not outstanding. The prices were average for the market, making it a reasonable choice. However, parking can be challenging, especially when it's busy. I believe there's also a drive-through option, which might be more convenient for some.“

I had the smash burger and my husband had chicken wings (we had some difficulty finding something enticing on the very small menu); they were good and acceptable but that's about it. The ambience is one of those (now outdated) industrial style restaurants which I find cold and noisy when crowded. Service was very attentive.“

Unfortunately, since moving to their new location, they have been getting more and more expensive. The fare stays the same but the prices get higher. The food, however, is fantastic. “I was in town for a work trip and stopped here for lunch with my friend/coworker. Its a super cute little place. We enjoyed our server and the food. The food was delicious. We got the cheese plate appetizer and the shared the baby lamp chops plate. We were in a rush to get back to our meetings otherwise we would have stayed longer and enjoyed some of their dessert options.“

“The food and service were fantastic! However, the reason I will return every time I visit Asheville is not actually food related. The owners fed their employees and their families the entire time they were shut down for Covid. The owner’s husband is involved in many global humanitarian projects. While I was reading the Cantina’s historical wall display, the researcher responsible for the wall came and spent about 20 minutes chatting with me about the area’s history. I was moved by life work of the people associated with the restaurant and will return in support of goodness in the world.“

The person taking orders took his time with that group, while the line grew longer. It's nice that he took the time to answer their questions, but he probably should have called someone else over to take orders while he chatted with them. The wait was about 10 minutes for this. The place is nice looking and filled with seating, inside and out. The menu is simple, mainly pizzas and handhelds. The staff is friendly and our food came out promptly. My burger was pretty good as well. Aside from the ridiculous wait, the rest of the lunch went perfectly. I'd return.“
