“We went for Sunday brunch. The restaurant was great, service was outstanding. After eating we walked out to the car to find a parking ticket. I didn't notice, but evidently Freehold, NJ recently started charging for parking. Every summer I spend a lot of time in the downtown freehold area. That will now change. Too many other places to go where parking is free. A warning would have been nice (for those of us that parked there for free, for years).“

“Stopped in for lunch. It was pretty crowded for an afternoon but we were able to be seated right away. First up was the Potato soup which was really good and filling. I then had the Poke bowl with Shrimp which was also really good.Good food and very attentive service!“

“Had brunch with mom on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't any line. The parking should be easy enough (in the back). The sandwich and wrap were delicious. The staff were friendly and interior gives an old school diner vibe, which was inviting to me.“

“I've been to Metropolitan Cafe many times and each time the overall experience is good. However, I suggest you pay with cash as the service charge free's for credit or debit cards are almost 4% which is pretty heavy. The other thing to know is when ordering cocktails you'll be better off getting straight drinks like scotch on rocks or vodka rocks as the mixed drinks are very light on alcohol. I ordered a Southern Comfort and Sour. The dinking was ice cold sour mix as the liquor was all but not existing. So I had a bad lemon aid for $15 bucks. Needless to say my next drink was Kettle One rocks Even a bad bartender should be able to pour that drink. So if you can get bye watery cocktails and the high service charge it's not bad.“

“This is one of my favorite places to eat. I like both All Seasons, but there is something about this one in Freehold that is special. Great food, great atmosphere and usually great service (although today, not so much). But all in all, they are the best.“

“Food was great! Atmosphere was good. Decent amount of people and all service was nice and respectful besides the facts that I was talking to my family and the older manager was making smirky comments and giving nasty looks at us I felt disrespected…“

“The atmosphere in this cafe is eclectic and comforting, like going back to my childhood and visiting relatives! I was there with a group of friends, and everyone loved their sandwiches. I can say that my BLT was the best I've had in years...if not decades. It's a great place to relax over coffee after the meal, before browsing the the lovely surroundings and the crafty store (The Barn). I'm definitely going back.“

“This place gets very crowded, very quickly. I used to come here all the time when I lived in the area, so I figured I would stop in since I was in town. They have done renovations and the restaurant looks great. The food and service is still top notch. It is a very small establishment; if you are looking for a lot of room, this is not the place for you. They have a great beer selection and different types of food, from apps to entrees and desserts. The Jester is a staple in Freehold so I recommend a visit. They also have AMI jukebox for those who love music.“

“So many options to choose from, you can't go wrong with earing here. There is something for everyone, from burgers to salad, to pstas and steak. Mu grilled chicken with avocado sandwich was excellent. The chicken eas nice and tender and it also came with a choice of fries or salad. Of course, I ended up with the fries, which are my weakness. My husband ordered the Louisiana chicken pasta which was tasty. Our only gripe was that it was very buttery, which some may like. The chicken was fried to a crisp and paired well with the pasta.Of course, had to save room for cheesecake but we ended up taking it to go so we could slowly savor it at home. This place does get extremely busy on the weekends with quite a long wait time. Best time to go is during an off hour or on a weekday. It's a great place for date night as the lighting at night is dim and every table is very cozy. There is also a bar if you like drinks as well.“

“We stayed here so we could go to Six Flags. Really nice people and great customer service ! The front desk was very accommodating and helpful and the restaurant/ bar personnel were extremely sweet! Not many options to eat but what we had was actually fresh and surprisingly good for a small hotel. Free parking and laundry room were a big plus. Very quiet neighborhood and some weddings were happening while we stayed but I basically heard no noise from guests or was bothered by loud music. Really recommend!“

“My family and I have had the great pleasure of having dinner at 618 in Freehold NJ on several occasions. It has quickly become our favorite restaurant! Everything on their menu is wonderful and we’ve tried so many appetizers, main courses and cocktails at this point. It’s rare to find a cool, comfortable restaurant with so many great cocktails and incredible choices across all menu selections. And, if that is not enough, their staff is truly a dream team. The owners, manager, hostesses and servers ALL go way out of their way to make everyone feel like guests having a special dining experience in their happy home. Dining at 618 is a truly delightful experience—it’s quite simply food and service heaven! The owners and staff ALL really care and it shows. Their kindness and care to our 96 year old dad and us every time we dine there is so beautiful. It lights him and us up so much. To the owners, manager, hostesses and servers, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Dear Ava, Danielle, Chuck, Matt , Chris, Jacob, Leigh, and Christine, and all the staff of 618, each and every one of you are treasures. Thank you for making our dining experiences so special and uplifting.“
