“Don't judge a book by its cover right. Well I first ordered from Uber eats and then decided this week to go to the location myself and found out it's named different on the app. They go by Taqueria Tacos y Más on Uber eats just FYI. When you pull up to the location it's nothing much to look at but the food thus far as been amazing! I have ordered the guacamole with chips, shrimp ceviche, and regular baleadas. The baleada wasn't the best. It could have had better fillings but it did taste pretty good. The only hiccup I have had was when I went in to the store the lady taking my order only know Spanish and couldn't figure out how to charge my card. Thankfully I could speak Spanish but if you didn't they would truly have to have someone else assist at the front. I am hoping to order some more items next. All in all I will be back!“

“Awesome food and customer service! I only wished their maduros were softer and sweeter. I ordered delivery and they forgot some stuff. Called them back and they sent it right away. The food was delicious! The people (on phone and delivery person) were very nice. Next time I'm in NY, I'll order from here again!“

“Great Spanish restaurant for group hangouts or date night. Reservations are recommended because it gets packed on weekend nights. Staff are friendly and efficient. This place offers many different types of tapas and we had hard time deciding! We ordered a bunch of tapas and the seafood paella at the end for a group of 5. Food are very tasty. We also ordered churros and lava cake for desserts! Lava cake is amazing!!!!“

“The food here is amazing! Delicious Latin flavors in dishes that will fill you up! My typical order is the Bandeja Paisa which is a full meal in itself! The avocado salad is also a must have- great flavors, super refreshing and always pairs nicely with other dishes. The liki martini is my favorite drink! The service is so friendly, they will all make you feel like you’ve been invited into their home. Juan is truly a magnificent host and it’s truly a must visit whenever I am in the area! I would highly recommend this for a date or even a casual night out! The environment can be treated as either!“

“The Food at Brisas Del Mar is in Far Rockaway the food looked absolutely delicious there were some good choices to choose from that was on their menu and the service was good I was taken care right away and the price was good for what I picked out I would go again when I get the chance check them out if you're in the area ???“

I got the pernil, which I don't see on the "dishes I recommend" list, and that is a crime because this pernil was *amazing.* Also just plain old rice and beans, I don't know what they do to them but even the next day when they were cold they were still the best damn rice and beans I've ever had.“

“I had a great time on Friday night at our friend's birthday celebration at Marbella. The staff is wonderful, so friendly ! Marcello was very attentive and made sure we had a great time AND we always had a drink. A++ The room is very spacious and festive. The cocktail hour was great! Had a lot of my favorite bites, like seafood croquettes and tortilla espanola! Dinner was lovely, buffet with items such as pork loin, arroz con pollo and stuffed filet of sole which I really enjoyed. (if u know me, you know i dont eat fish, my hubby couldnt believe i ate this piece of sole! so good!) “Yes Mama is one of the best discoveries of Astoria this year!Jessica runs the business all by herself and does a damn good job of it! Not only did she cook homemade Puerto Rican recipes, but she hires entertainment along with having a great selection of wine.I had the Carne Guisada (beef stew with white rice) and it felt like I was eating a mother’s cooking. Paired it with a couple glasses of Rosasera and a lovely Latin jazz band playing in the background and it was heaven. There were even some board games for us the play with while we waited on our food.Topped off the night by splitting a plate of the coquito flan served with the most adorable heart shaped spoons. Decided to stop by to try their food, and they definitely gained a new customer that day. I even catered from them the following week for a birthday party I was hosting. Highly recommend.“

“Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“

“On a very rainy night Comfortable seat at the bar. Having one of the 3 special on their menu Very professional old school set up great staff of 2 that are always very friendly Mussel fresh and plenty the sole delicious with either a side of rice or broccoli I had the rice. “This is more like an advice to the owner more than a review criticizing them, service always great, the owner is always there and greets u when u walk in no complaints there. But the last two times i been there including today 5/10/2024, the rice has no salt or very low on salt and it taste bad!. We all know to much salt isn’t good for you but the cook isn’t putting any salt at all on the white rice, and today i noticed the red beans had hardly any flavor on it..My advice have a talk with ur cook, if they cook like that for their own home thats fine but to sell the public u have to add salt to the food!! She greeted me in such manner that It left a lasting impression on me. So today I decided I'm going to try takeout with them. I ordered a fish meal. Fish was well prepared very tasty. The plantain's were awesome. And for the price this is well worth it. In no time my order was ready in less than 20 minutes that's including the delivery.Everything was neatly packed. “There is no bakery that rivals the La Gitana franchise in my opinion. Honestly, even when I moved to another state I tried to find another one and it doesn't compare. Unfortunately, Pan Ugo was a good competitor until 2015-2016 and something changed in the almoahabanas recipe that hasn't tasted the same since then. But La Gitana is always consistent with quality and consistency of affection also given by all its employees. Thank you always!“
