“We had lunch there. It was SO great. I always get the sampler...OMG! delicious!We had the nicest server, and very excellent at his job! We had to wait when we first arrived there which mystified me as there were very few people there at the late lunch time we chose. As soon as we got seated all was perfect. Our food came out fast, refills were fast, checked on us many times. Got our drinks really quick even before menus. Got the check quickly when finished. We were greeted nicely and thanked nicely before we leftJust all around great lunch!“

We enjoyed walking around the adjacent shops afterwards. Great place to get off the highway or meet halfway between Austin and Dallas. Would definitely come back.“

“We really enjoyed our visit to Balcones. Our tour guide was Eric and he was very knowledgeable and funny, making our tour very educational and memorable. We sat at the bar after our tour and had two great bar tenders. Theron and Nick were both awesome and our drinks were amazing! We can't wait to go back for another tour and drinks!“

“Sascee's. I'm not usually on that side of town when she is open. I got to visit with her for a bit. I arrived right at closing time. I started to walk away when I saw that they were closed. She came out and got me. I love a business owner with a go get 'em attitude.“

“Was traveling through and saw all the great reviews so I had to stop and try it my self. Was very excellent service , the food was delicious and fresh the best home style burger and philli cheese steak I have ever had . The onion rings were so crisp but the onion it self dissolved in your mouth.“

“The dry aged steak was super good! One of the better steaks I’ve had in a while. But the bacon slab appetizer was not great. Came out cold and just didn’t taste that good. The service was excellent! We loved our server. Atmosphere was dated. Needs a bit of a makeover. The bud lights and various cheap beers on display above the bar seem like an odd choice.“
