We had a great experience at our first meal at Late August! Gorgeous space. Full enough to be fun but not too loud to be able to hear the people you came with. Bar was creative and top notch. Our food was delicious and diverse. If you love Lucille's you'll find lots to love here. Great addition to the Rice area restaurant scene. Coming back for sure.
Creative, delicious and well-executed food in a beautifully designed space. Menu is a great fusion: a little Mexican, a lot Southern, 100% HTX. Romy was our server and was great - pacing was perfect and we had a relaxed and fun meal. The citrus pork confit is outstanding, chile relleno a nice twist on a classic. Neither lasted long! Cocktail menu is concise, thoughtful and drinks are crafted very well. The old Sears building / Ion space is very cool and worth a pre-meal wander....read full review

We made a reservation for our wedding anniversary. The GM, Danny, and our server, Terrell, treated us very well. Danny brought us champagne flutes and sprinkled rose petals over the table. Terrell recommended a couple of dishes, including the Crudo, which was a hit. Both gentlemen were attentive and friendly. The food is clean, fresh and inventive. This place is worth a visit.
