Excellent food service awesome
Let me start off by saying that I love their food and it is my go to whenever I'm in harwin/hillcroft area. I've been going to this place for the last ten+ years and my bill is always $100 or more as I usually have a big to go order for people at home. I was there about a month ago and ask the server to gave me two extra kabobs ang got charged for an entire combo kabob plate price of $16 and didn't realize it until I had left place and thought it could've been an honest mistake and that I'll bring to their attention the next time I'm in the restaurant.... I went their yesterday and ate one lamb curry and naan and had a large order to go. When i went to pay at the counter the bill was almost twice of what it should've been. They had instead of substituting rice for naan had given me both rice and naan (i specifically asked for curry with naan) also they charged me 15% tip for the to go order which was $17+ dollars and when i asked the person behind the counter about tip on the to go order she seemed to get upset and didn't want to hear what i wanted to express and offered to return the money. PLEASE BRING THE OLD WAYS OF SERVICE BACK AND STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR REPEAT CLIENTS. This is how businesses lose their customers. Prices on the menu are different from the prices on the wall behind the counter. *I always leave tip and I completely understand how hard servers work. The person behind the counter stated that they have been adding 15% tip to their bill for the last two years and to be honest that is not fair as it is not listed anywhere in the restaurant or on the menu for that reason people are being charged for tip twice. Once when they leave cash tip and it is also being added to the bill at checkout.

I tried New Saffron Kabob House with a recommendation from a friend. I ordered their chapli kabob. I instantly loved it. I am safe to say that it’s one of the best Afghan food in Houston! It is located in the Guatemalan town of Hillcraft. Do check it out if you want to try one of the most underrated cuisines. “afghan cuisine”
