“Do not go here if you are in a hurry or you are snobby. The owner takes your order, cooks your food after you order, and serves you. You can tell he loves what he does and is not going to rush it! It's like going to a friend's house for dinner! Except this friend can actually cook! This is a 1 person show! We'll go back again.“

“Beautiful rustic building and interior, with genuinely amazing texas bbq. It was easily placed as my third favorite in the state. It's not cheap but not overly expensive. I do wish the sides came in larger to go quantities. Great food, great experience.Vegetarian options: You could but why would you.Parking: Along the street outside the building which is in a historic downtown area.Wheelchair accessibility: Possible but not the best.“

“Had great meal, awesome service. Rangers on the tv , big ol' beer ? ??. I had chicken fried steak , my wife had pulled pork sammich. My 9 year old son had the cheese burger. Loved it. We will be back.Oh snap , the fresh pork chicharones and queso. Sheeesh! Gotta get'em“

“I never leave reviews but today I must. I eat at Ellis County at least twice a month, the reason I’m posting a 5 star review is due to Shawn, (new owner) came over to apologize about running out of peach cobbler and ice cream. Not only did he apologize but he insisted on Giving us banana pudding and a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. On top of an incredible chop beef sandwich and fried okra (best fried okra I’ve had), the pudding and cookie were definitely a pleasant surprise. Shawn, your kindness and incredible bbq will always keep me coming back for more and one of these visits I’ll try something else, (chop beef) is definitely the bomb. “You for what I paid for this meal the side portions were totally disappointing. I wish I could complain about the taste or appearance of the food sadly I can not the food was wonder just doesn't feed four. It was plenty of meat though. We had to each chose one small side each so I had mashed potatoes but no veggies another person had the opposite.I have to say this was my first time ever eating at Texas Roadhouse if I ever eat with you again I'll be a dine in patron, maybe the side portions are different.However, I will not be buying takeout again for you, for that price, I could have went to Lisa's got two dark chicken family meals(10pc chicken 2lg sides rolls in each)and and fish meal with large sides 3x your size and two bottles of 2 liter drinks with change left.Again the food was great your side size just unacceptable for that price.“
