That's true because sometimes you have to read the fine print as to why someone might give a 3 vs a 4 or 5... Pho Barr is nothing on the outside, standard windows, small but inside there is some magic going on... The smell hits you as soon as you open the door... Umami, garlic, teriyaki, beef... Your mouth is watering for one or all of the ingredients... I went straight to the pho options and picked my favorite... Spicy Tonkatsu with Black Garlic... It had pieces of chashu (large) on the top with plenty of fresh veggies... The noodles tasted fresh with the perfect chew... The broth was delicious!!! Give them try for your next pho fix!!”

“Since the pandemic, I've noticed the changes in taste with food at certain restaurants. Razzo's Cajun Cafe has always been one of my favorite spots whether I'm in the Dallas Ft Worth area or Houston. Some things have changed with Razzo's such the Worm Burner didn't have the classic Gummie Worms and it wasn't as strong of a drink as I remembered. The Rat Toes is a staple for every time I visit any location, but the flavors were not coming through. It just appeared that the recipe has changed.Now, my husband is from Louisiana and he mentioned that the flavors were not deeply seasoned and robust like Louisiana Cajun style food but was good nonetheless.In the meantime, we'll keep visiting various locations and see if they live up to the memories of great Cajun food to the NINE!”

“This was our first time here and it was soooo good! I had the patty melt which was perfection. It was toasted perfectly and it was so flavorful. My husband had a breakfast combo with the chicken fried steak, hash brown and eggs and he loved it. My daughter had the kids meal chicken tenders and she actually ate them all which never happens. Everything was fresh and made with love. We will definitely return back and I'll take pictures because I didn't do it this time. “Was craving some wings while I was in town and decided to try this place out. Borough a couple people with me and they loved it! We were seated quickly even though the place was pretty packed. And we got our drinks right away! They serve water in huge cups which is great because I drink a lot of water!I ordered the 8 piece wings from the lunch menu with waffle fries and ranch. I asked for extra ranch too which came out with my food. I love when they don’t forget! I got half buffalo medium and half garlic parmesan. The chicken was cooked perfect! And the flavors were spot on! It was all so delicious. And their ranch was a good quality ranch that complimented the wings and my fries because I like to dip my fries in ranch. The fries were also perfectly cooked and nice and crispy! If I’m ever in texas again I’ll definitely try this place again!”

“What a great experience this turned out to be. Peppers is a midsized Non-chain restaurant in Pasadena, Tx. This was my first time here and I was impressed. The building from the outside is beautifully maintained and welcoming, with a uniquely landscaped front garden. Once inside it gets better. We were greated by a friendly young host and taken through an immaculately clean dining room to our table. It is a real, sit down restaurant. It is calm, was quiet, and comfortable. There were couples, small groups, and families with children. Our waiter arrived with menus almost immediately. The menu is not huge but had something for everyone. I don't remember seeing hot dogs but I didn't look at the kid menu. It has a varied offering of steaks, seafood, pasta, chicken, hamburgers, veggies, sides, and appetizers. Oh yeah, and a very nice full bar. They make an excellent lemondrop martini. The serving size of our meals was generous and appealing. Many of the entrees offer a size choice in case you want a smaller meal. The fried catfish and shrimp entree was huge with thick perfectly fried seafood. It made me wish I had some of those shrimp. My pan-seared redfish crabmeat/butter sauce was excellent. The smothered steak was also very tasty with a nice, thick steak burger under gravy and onions. Our sides were not canned or bland. A big fully loaded (no scrimping) baked potato, big, thick asparagus...everything really was upscale quality food and worth the somewhat expensive price. Most of the entrees I was interested in were $16 to $25 dollars that included 2 sides and dinner rolls. But hey, you can barely get anything under $15 dollars at Cheddars and that is for canned, frozen, and mushy food. So yes, if I am getting a nice dinner out I would rather splurge a little and go back to Peppers. I don't know if my food pics do this restaurant justice and I wish I had taken pictures of the really nice dining room. The plates are loaded and presented nicely. The ONLY thing that needs improvement in my opinion is the dinner rolls. They were disappointing. We were too full to try any desert this time. I would recommend Peppers based on an excellent first time dining experience. My parents eat here often.Parking: There is a lot of parking.Kid-friendliness: It seemed that children are very welcome here. There were several children dining. They were very well-behaved and appeared to be enjoying themselves. Kudos to their parents.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no problem with wheelchairs here.”

“This is a hidden gem in Pasadena! It is a quaint cafe with AMAZING food! My boyfriend and I started with the brisket loaded fries….absolutely delicious! I had the grilled turkey and spinach panini and I added avocado and my boyfriend had the sycamore 2s which came with 2 eggs, 2 of your choice of meat, and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were divine and melted in your mouth. The service was great as well. Our waitress was very attentive even though they had a full house (literally…the cafe is a house ?). The chicken pieces were large and cooked to perfection. The meat was juicier than the chicken at La Silla which tends to be dry. “Best Starbucks in Pasadena and Deer Park there could be a better Starbucks than this location. These people always make the drinks correct the drinks always taste good. They deserve a raise at this location. I don't understand how people gave it a three stars well really this place five stars 4.5 should be the lowest it has, the music is good. The ambience in the area is good. Bathrooms are clean and nice and they were quick to make my drink. It didn't even take me but five minutes I was in and out.”

“I went to Waffle House with the idea of not ordering a waffle! I've enjoyed their waffles in the past, getting the pecan, "nutty, like you!" variation! A visit almost a year ago to WH was a disappointment with the change in the waffle size, almost the size of the toaster variety! Big disappointment! My eggs, sausage, and "scattered- smothered" hashbrowns were good & met my expectations! I informed my date from our waffle disappointment visit that I was at WH & she said, "How could you?" Told her it was easy, I didn't order a waffle!”

“I was happy to know there is an LJS close by. I'm from Michigan, and we are fortunate to have 2 in Grand Rapids. I love their food, the coleslaw is so good! “Yes, similar food type as others in the area.But I will tell you that the food here is very flavorful, tasty & cooked with love.I even ate all my refried beans on my plate because they were packed w flavor (where most places refried beans are meh').The chicharron on my chicharron & egg plate was cut bite sized, not large chunks; a perfect example of keeping the customer in mind.The menudo was cut bite sized as well & the hominy (grano) was mini sized (extra small), not big kernels of maiz, as is the norm.This way you can get the perfect ratio of menudo & hominy in every single spoonful.Im not 100% sure but I believe even the patas de res were cut into small - medium sized chunks for a better "pata" eating experience....iykyk.The delicious full size fluffy corn tortillas seemed homeade.The squeeze bottle green sauce is very tasty and spicy.The squeeze bottle red sauce (chile de arbol?) is really good & chile de arbol is normally not one of my favorite chile flavors.The warm taquera sauce served with chips is delicious as well.Great service & hospitality.Great prices.The location is a little dated but very clean so not a deal breaker for my family & I.See y'all again soon.”

“The food is delicious. Love that they know my order since I'm a regular. The service is good however, it can be a bit of a weight if they are busy. From what I hear they are short staffed. The ambience is very welcoming and simple. Especially there bathroom which is funny. It's very fancy with tiled walls and accent trim. Highly recommend for those Pho fanatics! Definitely in my top 3 best phos I've tried given my 10+ years of pho experience.”

“I grew up in Pasadena and now live 2 hours north, in Somerville.We have family and friends living in Pasadena and was told about your bakery.I only wished it were there when we lived there. Best baked goods and today I purchased pork tamales. They were filled just right and the ratio between meat and masa were perfect. I ordered spicy and they were so good, I wished I had purchased more.We will be back.”
