“What an awesome place to stop for a meal while in Waco! The food, service and atmosphere is absolutely amazing! I had the Texas Philly Cheese steak sandwich (added bacon)and my wife had the Texas Chicken Cheese steak sandwich and both had Sweet-potato fries (which were wonderful).“

“I live just outside of Waco and Cafe Homestead is hands down the best restaurant in the Waco area in my opinion! High quality food made from recipes that all taste like something, your grandma would make for a special occasion. Excellent, friendly service as well. If you were in the Waco area, you do not want to miss an opportunity to try it.“

“Our first visit to Magnolia Table did not disappoint. Server Erin was awesome. We got regular pancakes & lemon blueberry (yum) pancakes with sausage & potatoes. All the food was really good, but those lemon blueberry pancakes were something else!! The seating allows visitation with neighbors or not. We were privileged to set next to a family from Sweden that had a son that participated in a student exchange program & as previous hosts, had a lovely visit. Finished up with the Strawberry Basil Spritzer, very tangy & delicious? Overall a wonderful experience & highly recommend.“

“LOVE the freshness of every dish! I went to this location in Waco and to my surprise it was beautiful. The other location was in Georgetown (nice location as well). However, it’s never a good feeling when dining in the restaurant. I went 2x in the same day just to see the difference between the day and night staff. Both times I sat at the bar, and the service was good. As I approached the door to enter a man a woman walked right in front of me and the man let the door close in my face! I’m so sick of people being rude, it makes me not want to spend my money in the establishment. Although they can’t control others behaviors, it just sucks!“

“Called in an order yesterday for lunch/dinner & the young lady who took my order was so amazing with guest services. As we took the order she got tickled and stated I like you ? as we finished the order we laughted and hung up. Now once we went in to grab the food to go she greeted with a big smile and told us we made her day. ❤️ This does not include how wonderful the food was. I mean wow WOW WOW!!! “While traveling through the area, we found ourselves at Dave’s Burger Barn. We love to eat at local restaurants instead of the chain places. When we walked it, I was impressed with how clean it was. We went around 5 pm so there was only one other family there. I was surprised and discouraged that we weren’t greeted by staff when we walked in. Our burgers were excellent but the lack of friendliness of the staff will run a small business into the ground.“

“Me and my daughter and her boyfriend went to the one in Hewitt Texas we have a reservations they said it would be 30 minutes 1 hour later they finally got us to a table the food was good my daughter was given water but later her glass was empty it took 45 minutes later they asked if she needed more. It was very loud in the room they placed us in. Not sure when we will be coming back but it may be a while.“

“To be honest, I was skeptical as to why everyone raved about it so much!! But now that I've had it, the chicken is absolutely AMAZING. And let's not forget their sauce...my one complaint would be their lack of side options!! I think they should add at least a few more side choices!! And they could do so very easily at very little cost to them! Green beans, Mac and cheese, and corn would be easy enough. Oooo and mashed potatoes too...“

“They were busier than I expected! Everything ordered came on time, food was delicious! Since we recently had a terrible experience at our original Italian place we've been taking our daughters to try their pasta at different places and cheddars did their job! The restaurant and server made our evening amazing. My daughters had their pasta me and husband our margaritas, highly recommend this location“

“My wife and I went and had dinner. It did not disappoint. We started with a spinach artichoke dip. I had the fried catfish and my wife had Ahi Tuna salad. My dish came with the best hush puppies I've ever had to compliment the amazing fried catfish. We both finished off with an order of beignets that were amazing! I highly recommend if you haven't gone already. And try the catfish!!“

“My family and I love this restaurant. Every time we come to Waco we stop for breakfast here. The food is delicious, the waitresses are very attentive and friendly. They also make the bread there in the restaurant so when you walk in in the morning it smells like freshly baked bread. Our favorite bread is Campechanas stuffed with cheese and freshly made sponges. . I recommend it 100%“

“I love Crickets! The food isn't the best thing in the world but it's pretty good for the price! My favorite is their chicken sandwich with honey mustard sauce. It sounds basic, but it's delicious! Their Brussel sprouts are also very tasty! Whenever we've gone, service has been great. Sweet and attentive waitresses, no complaints. The atmosphere is a grill / sports bar so it can get kind of noisy but that's to be expected. The location is also great because it's right next to Spice Village! So I can go browse around there while my husband stays at Crickets to drink a beer and play pool lol! Overall I would recommend trying Crickets if you're in the area!“
