“Whenever we visit Brattleboro, we make sure we get to eat at Vegan AF at least once! This place is truly some of the best food, let alone vegan food in all of Southern Vermont.Everything on the menu is delicious, incredibly fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Truly, it doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, these meals are literally so good that it transcends all types of foods.Their drinks are also super unique and reasonably priced. The service is friendly, kind and efficient. Very queer friendly too. Literally, what more can you ask for?“

“My boyfriend and I dined here while on a short trip to Vermont for my Birthday last Thursday. We saw the great reviews and got a feel that it had to be a must try. We are so glad we did! Everything was so delicious and the presentation was outstanding. A wonderful spot if you’re looking for something unique/quaint out of your dining experience, while still eating fantastic food. Coming from the Southern NH- MA area the price range here was a plus as well:)“
“Amazing food. The mushroom dumpling wasn't my favorite but it was tasty. Just more breading than I wanted. Pork abundance box was so full and delicious. Especially the thinly sliced garlic. Everything is homemade with fresh ingredients. The husband and wife team are so inviting. Everything is made to order. Call ahead. Be patient and enjoy the yum.“

“After an exhilarating yet exhausting hike on a damp spring morning, there was no greater delight than wandering through the rustic streets of downtown Brattleboro and ducking into this artsy little cafe. I had Italian tomato soup, a delicious slice of French sourdough bread to soak up the soup, and a whimsically sweet snickerdoodle. The soup warms and re-energizes the weary spirit, and the views of the river are quite astounding. If you want a pure example of the essence that makes Brattleboro so captivating and bucolic, come here.“
“Music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air! Berets! Mocha Joe's feels and smells like the real coffee shop deal, without the cigarette smoke! What brews! What a brew crew! Pyre and Emma are usually the two when I pop in. Good times! Cool cats!“

“Nothing short of perfection - as long as you're not counting calories! The food came out in a reasonable time and blew me away straight out of the gate! The fried fish was free of excess grease, the homemade coleslaw was second to none, and the ice cream was a flavorful, melt in your mouth delight! A wonderful experience and I will definitely be returning!“

“Really cute spot with lovely staff and a menu full of homemade organic vegan and gluten free dishes. Husband and I split a beet hummus sandwich and raw pad Thai plus maple tahini cookie (only one without refined sugar.) All delicious. We took our meals across the street to benches, but used for-here plates which we returned.Prices are reflective of quality.“

“On my first trip to Vermont, staying in Brattleboro, I decided to check out Panda North. I was not expecting anything amazing but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered miso soup, sushi and pineapple fried rice. I ordered take out and the food came out quick. The miso soup was some of the best I've had and the pineapple fried rice was amazing. I highly recommend Panda North if you are in the area.“

“If you're looking for fast, try a drive-thru. If you're looking for a decent breakfast place, this is it. We bring two of our three young grandchildren here, and they let us order family style to split up amongst all of us. (Two adult full orders, extra plates, extra drinks.) They have activity/coloring books and a small assortment of toys to keep the kids entertained. They kept my husband's coffee cup full and even offered me more hot water for my tea. The pancakes are huge and the eggs are fresh, they offer quite an assortment of meats with their country breakfast and allow substitutions. Excellent portions, we always end up not being able to finish everything. The home fries are standard fare, I prefer mine with onion, but often forget to ask. Staff are friendly and the bathroom is clean. Quirky tablecloths complete the somewhat lacking direction of the decor. Kids love to go there and aside from our ever-shrinking pocketbook, we love going too. (Prices are affordable.)“

“The service was terrible. We waited over an hour for our meal. My salad came after my meal was delivered. The meal was cold. It had been sitting for a very long time. The hostess finally delivered it. The chicken tenders were way over cooked. The waitress avoided us all during the meal, never came back to see if ever was ok. It was not ok. She snuck the check on our table. This is the worse experience ever in a restaurant and ruined our meal out.“

“The food is really good the prices are a rip off. My daughter and I usually each get the Butter Chicken and Naan. We have stopped going because it was $100.00 for our order. When I went in to pick it up there's nobody there. I guess others find it cost prohibitive as well.“

“Rating this place mostly on the food, I have to give it 5 stars. The atmosphere may be lacking, but finding sushi anywhere near this quality is difficult in New England. I am very particular about sushi and have tried dozens of restaurants in NH and Mass as well as while traveling to Japan, and I must say this place is in my top five experiences in New England.“

“The Works is a cute coffee shop to stop by for a quick bite to eat. The coffee is okay, but they have a great selection of sandwiches, salads and bowls - including many vegetarian and vegan options. It's also a great place to get some work done and has a lot of tables that aren't usually too crowded.“

“Best falafel pita in all of New England, without a doubt. They simply use best best components: fresh baked pita, freshly fried falafel (properly crisp), and house made hummus with lovely tahina. I feel instant nostalgia eating this food. Don't miss their other dishes and treats! They have good coffee, desserts, soups, and holiday specialties. They even carry Nesher craft beer. Please note, they are often closed due to holidays such as Passover. They are currently closed and will reopen May 2nd. You can still find their hummus in stores, though.Vegetarian options: Entirely vegetarian and almost completely dairy free establishment!“
