“We had a fantastic night at Peter Havens. It was my fiancee's birthday dinner and the food was phenomenal. She ordered the smoked beef ribs, and I ordered the ahi tuna appetizer and the duck.”

“Best falafel pita in all of New England, without a doubt. They simply use best best components: fresh baked pita, freshly fried falafel (properly crisp), and house made hummus with lovely tahina. I feel instant nostalgia eating this food. Don't miss their other dishes and treats! They have good coffee, desserts, soups, and holiday specialties. They even carry Nesher craft beer. Please note, they are often closed due to holidays such as Passover. They are currently closed and will reopen May 2nd. You can still find their hummus in stores, though.Vegetarian options: Entirely vegetarian and almost completely dairy free establishment!”

“Whenever we visit Brattleboro, we make sure we get to eat at Vegan AF at least once! This place is truly some of the best food, let alone vegan food in all of Southern Vermont.Everything on the menu is delicious, incredibly fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Truly, it doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, these meals are literally so good that it transcends all types of foods.Their drinks are also super unique and reasonably priced. The service is friendly, kind and efficient. Very queer friendly too. Literally, what more can you ask for?”

The selection of prepared foods, all incredible, along with individually prepared sandwiches or coffees are outstanding! ...and let's not forget the myriad of desserts and the pie plate sized cookies ( my fave is the molasses). “I've been enjoying the food Jewelz cooks for some time now and find it absolutely delicious and fairly priced. They cook with love and it certainly shows. The jerk chicken was spicy and just a little sweet, just as I like it and the meat patties are "to die for" delicious. Jewelz is a wonderful woman as well, and a joy to interact with. I highly recommend this place, it's well worth the trip.”

“My boyfriend and I dined here while on a short trip to Vermont for my Birthday last Thursday. We saw the great reviews and got a feel that it had to be a must try. We are so glad we did! “As a truck driver it's hard to find good food away from home. Home for me is texas. While I was here in town waiting to deliver I figured I'd try this place out. Hands down one of the best gyros I've ever had. The guy at the front as well as all the staff in general are extremely nice and welcoming. So glad I chose here to eat. 2 days in a row. “It’s one of those places you can’t wait to give a fantastic review.We had dinner there Saturday night with friends. It’s at the Brattleboro Country Club and has a perfect view of the course. Our friends told us it’s their favorite restaurant and we were excited to try. Its only opened seasonally.The food was fantastic - freshly made and plentiful. We had stuffed mushrooms for appetizer. I had the Eggplant Florentine. It does not come with pasta and that was okay with me as I had plenty. It also come with a salad included. Dessert was Tiramisu that melted in your mouth.Our server was Karen and she was WONDERFUL. Welcoming, attentive, enthusiastic and appreciative for visiting.Have been recommending Bella Notte to all our family and friends.”

“Crushed to hear this fantastic brewery is closing ? Though severely out of my everyday price range, their kettle-aged sours were some of the best luxury treats I’ve bought myself.Also not sure if it will upload but there is red paint spill in their lavatory… it’s in the shape of a hermit thrush. The folks at Duchess provide such high quality coffee that is consciously sourced, roasted to perfection, and tastes absolutely incredible. As someone who usually only drinks coffee with milk, their roasts are so delightful that I drink it black. Loyal customer for life!”

“There aren't enough stars for the service and the atmosphere. Whether it's your first time or a repeat, you're welcomed almost as family, certainly as friend of the family. Food taste is original and authentic Italian, not faux-Italian. Now, if I could just get an occasional ice tea to be added to their otherwise expansive range of drink selections, then the excellent meals would be perfection.”

“What an experience. My husband and I love checking out coffee shops while traveling through our New England and this one did not disappoint. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. “I heard about Crossroads on a day trip to the Brattleboro/Dummerston area. Stopped in for lunch and was absolutely blown away. I had elote and a burrito with carnitas. Hands down the best burrito I have ever had! Elote is now a new favorite for me. Friend gave my a bite of his bacon jam cheeseburger and just WOW! “On my first trip to Vermont, staying in Brattleboro, I decided to check out Panda North. I was not expecting anything amazing but was pleasantly surprised. I ordered miso soup, sushi and pineapple fried rice. I ordered take out and the food came out quick. The miso soup was some of the best I've had and the pineapple fried rice was amazing. I highly recommend Panda North if you are in the area.”

“They have some nice stuff. Was happy to see amaro nonino for a paper plane build. The bartender was not too personalble. Felt like I was invisible at the bar. Had to actually ask for her to make me a drink. Easily waited 7 minutes with no greeting. There's a total of 5 guests in here at 9:56 pm on a Tuesday. Will maybe try again.Honestly a terrible paper plane. She didn't measure the specs. Way too much lemon”

“Really cute spot with lovely staff and a menu full of homemade organic vegan and gluten free dishes. Husband and I split a beet hummus sandwich and raw pad Thai plus maple tahini cookie (only one without refined sugar.) All delicious. We took our meals across the street to benches, but used for-here plates which we returned.Prices are reflective of quality.”

“Thick and creamy ice cream, which makes you feel like you're eating real custard. Ice cream flavors are delicious as well, and the shop items in the same space are lovely. They have some adorable kid's clothes, some nice women's clothes, and jewelry among other things that are reasonably priced. I would go again. My only complaint is wanting more ice cream on top of my sugar cone.”

“We serendipitously ran into this wonderful restaurant in Brattleboro, Vermont called High Thai and were so unbelievably surprised by the excellent food and service we got in this establishment. As I initially warned one of the owners, Adam, I am a food snub from NYC where Asian cuisine and its many fusions are plentiful and good but this definitely rivaled any of the best restaurants in NYC.”

“All winter long my family from CT couldn’t stop talking about this great place to stop for dinner on their way home from skiing in VT. I didn’t even know my dad ate pizza. The route that my really cool girlfriend and I take home to RI has nothing but gas stations and a rest stop I won’t mention by name but I’ve tried WAY too much of their menu. ANYWAY one day I thought to myself “huh, I wonder how much longer my drive would be if I stopped at VIP” and pulled out my handy dandy GPS. It only added 6 minutes…somebody pinch me! Ever since I’ve been loving going here for Yummytown subs, pizzas, salads, and gyros! Note: if you go and you’re looking for parm by the toppings bar, they keep it in the fridge.”

“It is difficult to find great breakfasts in Brattleboro, but we saw an ad in the Commons newspaper for The New England House and gave it a try.Splendid in every way! Here is a real chef who really knows what a great breakfast is. I had buttermilk pancakes with bacon which is a simple meal, but it was cooked so expertly. Great quality bacon and fluffy, flavorful pancakes. Even the locally produced maple syrup was special. Wonderful hot coffee, too.Hubs had perfect eggs, crispy hash browns, English muffin, and tasty sausage. We were both very satisfied. Great service, too.They are also open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays which we will try soon. Thank you for being here New England house.”

“Has a small menu but the food is delicious. Lots of choices for vegetarians and.offers beer, wine & cocktails. The prices are reasonable. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Very casual interior. Parking lot nearby.”

“The service was terrible. We waited over an hour for our meal. My salad came after my meal was delivered. The meal was cold. It had been sitting for a very long time. The hostess finally delivered it. The chicken tenders were way over cooked. The waitress avoided us all during the meal, never came back to see if ever was ok. It was not ok. She snuck the check on our table. This is the worse experience ever in a restaurant and ruined our meal out.”
