I’ve been coming to August First every time I visit Burlington for the past 2 years - and it never misses! Love their breakfast sandwiches (Eat the East, Day Maker), pastries (banana cream kouign amann pictured), and the dirty home fries were delicious.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options
Wow my sandwich was delicious, Steak & Eggs, the steak melted in your mouth, the bread crispy and soft inside. Very fresh and homemade, I would go back. Only downside, there is not much room inside and for a very cold day and a tourist on a walking tour wished to be able to sit down but had to wait several minutes for a table despite the long wait for the sandwich, but the wait was worth it!

4. Great cafe with a big menu for breakfast and lunch and lots of amazing looking baked goods. Friendly staff and big open space. The door kept being left open so it was really cold inside. My partner had the breakfast sandwhich which he said was really good but could have benefitted from bacon (not just bacon jam). I had the chickpea salad which was good but there were a number of wilted lettuce pieces which was kind of annoying.They make their chai in-house and it’s great....read full review
