“This is one of my favorite places to go in Tacoma. The food is awesome, the music is cool, the atmosphere reminds me of my younger years of frequenting goth clubs, and they have pinball and skee ball, and a couch to sit on. If I had to say anything negative, it's that parking can be challenging, but that's just 56th street in Tacoma and nothing the Church Cantina can help. Great place to be on a Saturday night.“

“I was pleasantly surprised by this place, a literally shining light in the dark in one of the shadier parts of the greater Tacoma area. Food was fresh and plentiful, a much better value than established chain restaurants. I've tried nearly every burrito within a 100 mile radius and I highly recommend giving this small local business a chance.“

“When i used to live in the area i would come to this place 3-4 times after school.Now i live much further so when im in the area i always try to stop by.Im rethinking that though cause normally they always forget 1 or 2 things (like sauces or broiled onion/jalapeno) which is no big deal.Today though i ordered 2 fish and 4 carnitas and i foolishly tipped 15% as well..I got 2 fish tacos and 2 carnitas and i start my remote work at noon so its not even worth driving 30 mins to go get my 2 carnitas i paid for..Really rethinking this place as the food is still good but the workers tend to forget alot. “Northern is the only location we patronize for fresh fish that we prepare at home. Atvleast once a week we stop by: varieties of salmon, cod, clams, mussels, oysters, steelhead, halibut, scallops, rockfish--we have eaten them all. The employees will cut filets to order. The fish is fresh and tasty. Northern supplies other retail places with fish, but why bother with their delivery schedule when we can go straight to the source? In addition to fresh fish, their varieties of smoked salmon are delicious. The employees are always friendly and helpful..“

“The food was absolutely amazing! The serving sizes are generous and the food was seasoned really well. I ordered the tacos and the meat was very tender and saucy and the toppings were fresh. My significant other ordered the tostadas and they were packed high with toppings. The only downsides are that the location is cash only and that food runs out early (so definitely try to get there early! I got there at 7:30 and the location was out of rice and beans)“
