This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! I travel all over this province and I love to eat Donairs and this is absolutely my favorite! Every person I've introduced to this place always leaves loving it. Their portions are a really good deal for the price you pay. The one picture is cheesy donair fries, and the other is the chicken falafel both excellent! If you're in Airdrie, I'd definitely check this place out!

I had an appointment in Airdrie so a friend and I decided to check this place out . We were very glad that we did. The staff are so incredibly friendly. They cannot do enough for you. They are just sweet I can’t say enough about how nice they are. I’ve moved here recently from Nova Scotia where I was always able to get great Donairs . This was the first Donair that I’ve had since arriving in Calgary and I can say it met my expectations. It was delicious. I love that they toast the pita and sliced in two . It wasn’t all messy . and a few garnishes all around it. It was really really good.

Consistently amazing! I've just visited for my third time, and I must say I am super-impressed! First: Portion sizes are EXCELLENT. Chef Ro and his staff make sure of that! On my first visit I made sure to mention it was my first time, and I thought Chef was just being generous to the new customer ... but repeated visits have proven that the portion size is generous every time! Second: The taste and quality of the food is incredible. The whole family really enjoys the flavour of their meats. The seasoning is amazing. There is a great selection of both toppings and sauces. I was very impressed at how good the cheese is. I also *love* the slightly lighter/thinner wrap they use - it offers a great crisp, holds together well and really ensures the flavours of the rest of the wrap isn't overpowered by a thick, heavy wrap. Third: There's a nice variety. While I prefer the simplicity of wraps, there's also platter options and a good variety of everything. Their fries are SO good. My son ate a MOUNTAIN of donair fries today, and I must admit those looked incredible. Fourth: Chef Ro is a great host! He's always been super-friendly and genuinely seems to care that you have a great experience. And his staff are a great reflection of that. Super friendly and hospitable people! If you haven't tried them yet, please do! I can't recommend them highly enough.

WOW!!!! Just had lunch at the Pita Basket in Airdrie, Alberta, Canada. This is huge. It is a beef and chicken pita with their mozzarella cheese and their garlic mayo, I added lettuce, onions, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, some kind of herb/tomato pesto stuff (I forgot what she called it) then she asked if I wanted tzatziki sauce or their sweet sauce. I knew I liked tzatziki. She said you can have both, so I did. It was amazing. And give. I bright half with me to eat for dinner. They gave me some fries with their garlic mayo and seasoning ”on the house” since I’ve never been here. The service was excellent. And you know I know all about excellent service. She also gave me one of their desert things to try. It was delicious. The best pet of my experience here was the service. I think she said her name was Wilma. If not, maybe she’ll see this and correct me. Maybe I’ll deliver another trailer here. I’ll definitely be coming back if so. Highly recommended to everyone in the area.

We both ordered the Mixed Shawarma Plate and Chocolate Baklava for dessert. The donair and chicken tasted amazing, Greek Salad on the side was great and the baklava was good as well. It seemed as though the head of the kitchen was quite passionate about his cooking and plated each platter beautifully/artistically and was constantly checking up on our table to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. Prices are a little more expensive than the usual Shawarma restaurants that we go to (Shawarma Palace/Passion and Avesta Shawarma). The only thing that I would recommend to others planning to visit this restaurant is to specify any allergies or vegetable and sauce preferences when ordering as they will include all of the vegetables and sauces on your plate if you don’t.

My family and I tried Pita Basket for the first time yesterday. I’m writing this after having finished my incredibly delicious leftovers. The entire experience was wonderful. The staff was so friendly, the food was amazing and watching Chef Ro at work was a sight to be seen. You can see he takes pride in every dish that comes out of his kitchen. Keep up the great work!
