“Triple L has been on my list of places to try since it opened. If you're like me and you keep thinking about it, just do yourself a favor and go in. I spent around $25 (with tip and tax) for a nice combo of Dynamite Rolls and 2x Salmon Nigiri and 2x Tuna Nigiri. The service was extremely polite and fast and the restaurant dining area and bathrooms are very clean.Pictured is the aforementioned dynamite combo, and one of the cute Noren hanging on the wall (they have great decor, I should have snapped a few more pictures)Overall this place definitely deserves the 4.9 star rating they command. Go in and treat yourself! The only downside is that parking around this area is a bit tight. I just parked between Timmies/Michaels and walked across the street, less hassle and easier to get on the road home after.“

“Awesome food, awesome atmosphere, wonderful customer that kept in touch with us throughout the course of the meal. I came to celebrate with my girlfriend and we sat by the bar. The one thing I will say is to make sure you make a reservation as it is quite busy in the best possible way!!! I would highly recommend the Black Dragon Roll if you are a lover of scallops. I will definitely be back again !!!“

“Some of the best quality sushi and sashimi I have found in Edmonton. The lunch bento box is incredibly high quality and everything was top notch. This is a tiny spot just with bar seating so keep that in mind when planning. Can’t wait to come try the sashimi platters next time.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly due to limited seating“

“This was my first time at Tenkuu, and it was amazing! It back nostalgic memories of Japan. The flavor of the Miso and Seaweed salad were on point. The green tea was smooth and not a hint of bitterness. I would have had more to eat, but I can't at this time. I will definitely be going back!“

“The place is clean and tidy, the foods are beyond expectation (a real Japanese cuisine treat) dragon eye roll and mini dynamite roll are superb. Ramen and shrimp rice bowl are also good. The staff in this branch are respectful and warm. Over all - experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.“

“It’s easy to come across new Japanese restaurants opening up in the city these days, but I can say with all my confidence that this place will always remain as my favourite. This place offers an authentic, homey and cozy Japanese dining experience but this experience comes with a compact space, so make sure you book a reservation in advance. Anything with their aburi salmon is a must-try and so is their nebeyaki udon. They don’t have the fastest service so I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking to grab a quick bite to eat.“

“Went for dinner with my wife and kids for a birthday dinner. The food was excellent. Service was super good. The food we ordered was extremely delicious and well made. Favourites include the assorted sashimi and the special rolls. Agedashi tofu was also delicious. My only critique was that all of the food came out with the exception of the poke bowl. This is always a challenge for restaurants but it messed up our meal a bit as 5 people got to eat while one had to wait until we were finished.“

“I've been a Mikado customer and enthusiast since the owner (David) was a sushi chef at the original location back in the early 1980s. The fact that I (now 'we') continue to be clients of this fine establishment for over four decades pretty much illustrates how highly we regard this group of restaurants. 5.5 stars out of 5!!!“

“Excellent all around. The service was friendly, quick, anticipatory, and knowledgeable. The Ninja Roll had the perfect rice-to-protein ratio and was mildly spicy. The Crispy Salmon Roll was beautiful and full of salmon. Eggplant agedashi was flavourful. Definitely a great veggie side dish. The Swiss Hokkaido roll with black sesame ice cream was artistically presented and delicious. The platting belonged in a fancy restaurant. Altogether a great value too. I’d definitely come back.“

“Nothing fancy, but a good choice for some popular Japanese foods (rice bowls, sushi, bento boxes, udon, etc). I had a bento box and the photo on the menu didn't really convey how much food you get for a very reasonable price. You order at the counter and they will bring you your food.“

“The food was very good. Quantity and quality were excellent, but we we're very new to this culinary experience, and after telling our server this didn't seem to phase on her to possibly explain some of the dishes or even make some suggestions. We were apprehensive to order most of the dishes but did order what we we're familiar with. For those who are not up to date with a cellphone, don't think you'll have access to the menu.“

“This place is run by the most wholesome group of Philipinos. You're greeted at the door and when you leave. Service is phenomenal and so welcoming. Now for the bad stuff...If you're a first timer here and order a teriyaki bento, just order one sauce pump as two is way too much. Not only is your rice drowned, it's way too salty. I was struggling to eat it. I doubt their sauce is home made but it's just not edible. I believe one pump would've also helped but just way too much salt. Same with the edemame beans. The salt is just too heavy. Edemame is suppose to be salted yes, but I felt like they were almost rolled in it. The veggies were the only thing helping you to balance the taste. Tempura pieces are way too small. The price for the portions is not justifiable. You can honestly order Chinese food and they'll give you a mountain. Tables weren't cleaned so it was a little hard finding a place to sit. The good stuff about this place is they have some deals every day of the week so Thursday will be 16 piece sushi for $9.99. I will definitely come back again to try other things on the menu.Parking: Lots of parking so no need to worry there.“
